I am Avi Ben-Avraham, the owner, inspirer, co-founder and CEO of HawkAi. The idea is mine and implementation of the Lampa Studio. HawkAi is a mobile first platform that connects farmers with experts and data.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to gather agriculture professionals and other knowledge, service and product providers in agriculture in one place to get quality advises in agricultural sphere.

I was searching for a contractor through Upwork and guys from Lampa Studio proposed a great balance between value, experience and price.

The project includes design of processes flows, UI, UX and massive work on connecting external data sources so that users of the app will be not only to communicate with other users easily and according to top standards but also easily access reliable data sources without interruptions.

Representative Manager, project manager and two developers - one for Android Front-End and one for back-end.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app works stable and published in Google Play Store. Constant work on the application improvement is in ongoing process.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Project Manager was supporting me and arranged coordination between me and Lampa Studio thanks to which we are able to add new features, update design and make the project run stable and consistent.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Great people from Lampa Studio became friends of me and did (and are still doing) their best to create this app in the best possible way. Communication and great problem solving skills make this partnership extremely satisfying.

Are there any areas for improvement?

At the beginning I was going to make all the things as fast as possible, but finally I'm happy with the result as the speed is not the best way to make the things good. Maybe things can be done faster, but I still believe that ideas do need their time to become fully mature and clear. Speed is definitely not the only factor in such projects and it needs patience.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to gether interesting people to share there secret in one place. To give them ability to share their problems and experiences with each other and make theire life easier and more comfortable to solve their issues in one application.

SOLUTION

How did you select Lampa?

We have discovered 5 middle companies to patcipate in out tander. After the 3 roundes of challenge Lampa Studio Team won the bids with the middle price and with great functional and timing proposal.

Describe the project in detail.

Implementation of the idea of ​​a mobile application, where each user can share their secrets and revelations anonymously, as a mobile application for iOS and Android platforms, was an interesting and fascinating experience. A special emphasis was put on the anonymity of users, work with the geolocation of each post and search for secrets nearby based on the results of the geo position.

As a result, realized fast, convenient, functional and modern application with a beautiful design, user-friendly interface, sorting secrets by popularity and date, filtering secrets nearby, sharing secrets into categories and convenient search. From the technical point of view, the project implemented full-fledged work with geolocation, built-in database, data caching, authorization through social networks, user’s personal cabinet, various push notifications.

The user can write secrets, comments, put likes/dislikes, share his and other people’s secrets with friends, as well as many other pleasant details for comfortable reading. What to do when you are bored? Open “In short”! This is not only interesting stories and news, but also communication in the comments and excellent humor.

As far as I know in the project were involved next people:

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With the app rating in stores above the mark of 4.7 points. The application is scheduled to be updated in 2019.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was supporting us and arranged coordination between our teams from the scratch till nowdays by adding new features, updating design and adding latest features to the application

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The Lampa Studio Team became for us even more then a friend, alredy 3 years they are providing development solutions for my product using the latest trends and guidelines for iOS and Android versions and implementing a new design according to newest UI/UX solutions and tools.

Are there any areas for improvement?

At the beginning I was going to make all the things as fast as possible, but finaly I'm happy with the result as the speed is not the best way to make the things good. I think we could make it faster but I don't think it would be good for our project. By now Lampa Studio are renewing the design and code refactoring.

Once we selected this vendor, we had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. Within the first weeks we received solutions how to improve our product and how to fasten the launch of mobile apps and in general it was a comfort cooperation.

Initially, we were assigned an Android developer to serve our projects and to contact with me, PM.

Within 8 months we launched over 5 projects, which satisfy the needs of clients. We appreciate the usability, flow, and look of the apps.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The developer was easy to communicate with, we connected over the phone at least once in a couple of days and used messengers for all other communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We have worked with other agencies for different areas of work, and this one was productive and collaborative. I will certainly engage with the company again for any mobile app needs that we have in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement?

It was quite a positive experience, sometimes we were not satisfied with the work estimate. We ended up with good and high-quality products.

I’m a graphic designer at Axor Industry, and I manage our online projects. We’re a Ukrainian window and door hardware manufacturer that primarily offers PVC and timber products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lampa Studio?

We make parts for window manufacturers who sell to distributors, so we wanted to create an app to automate our distributor loyalty program. Basically, we incentivize distributors to buy from manufacturers that use our hardware using a bonus-points system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We built the app for both iOS and Android devices, and Lampa Studio was responsible for programming the frontend. We’ve launched a usable MVP version if the platform, and now we’re working on more features.

I worked with a company representative, two project managers, a designer, three developers, and there may have been more in the background.

We searched online and contacted all potential candidates. We went through a tender process, and Lampa Studio offered the best price and time estimates.

We started working with them in the summer of 2018, and we just released the MVP version of the app.

Given that we’re not yet running the app at full speed, I can’t really speak to any impacts. With that said, Lampa Studio is an amazing team and has delivered quality work. I’m optimistic about the results we’ll see once we roll out the final product.

They’re receptive to feedback and open to all of our suggestions. Whenever we need to speak them, they make themselves available. So far, we haven’t had any issues with their management skills.
