I am a member of the social innovation project team in a non-governmental organization that worked directly with the KYOTU team on the project.

For what projects/services did your company hire KYOTU Technology, and what were your goals?

We hired the KYOTU team to implement new functionality on the project's platform - an online course available in 7 languages. During the cooperation, we implemented additional changes to facilitate the use of the website. We also contracted technical support.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have chosen the vendor in a tender procedure. We assessed i.a experience in providing comprehensive services in developing websites and implementation of international projects.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our objectives, work schedule, and scope of responsibility. We worked iteratively. Team prepared mock-up of the online course implemented structure of 5 learning modules and uploaded the content (in 7 languages).

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also: techlead, full-stack developer, frontend and backend developers, tester (QA).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had 623 subscribers for the online course.

We had regular calls with their project manager, who informed us about work progress, input needed from our side, and proposed solutions to mitigate the risk of delays. We have been used Slack and Jira.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team had a pro-client and proactive attitude, always ready to find the most suitable and optimal solutions.

I am the CEO of a real estate private equity and venture capital firm that spun off our own software startup.

For what projects/services did your company hire KYOTU Technology, and what were your goals?

The challenge was to design a real estate property management plug-in that centralized data and brought archaic business practice into the 21st century, while being mindful of an industry already crowded with clunky, yet sticky, software solutions.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Kyotu through a trusted referral of another software startup with whom we had previously invested and hit a big exit. After a few rounds of interviews it was clear Kyotu had a team of highly skilled and capable software developers for our project.

Kyotu worked closely with me on my team on the full scope of the project. We developed flowcharts and workflows with them that their UX/UI team would then use to create rich, fully fleshed-out wireframes for our eventual product. Kyotu's development team turned our wireframes into a complete, workable MVP with stable back-end architecture and seamless APIs with other software platforms.

We worked with at least five team members from Kyotu (not counting software developers we may not have met along the way).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project with Kyotu has been a total success. They provide excellent work, consistently hit developers, and charge very competitive rates. We have signed up for another six month engagement to continue building our product and I expect that we will continue beyond that.

Kyotu meets with me and my team regularly on video calls (typically Google Meet), at least once a week. They also set up a collaborative Slack channel where they are always responsive. On their end, they use typical project management tools like Jira and they are always willing to send screen shots of workflows and charts.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

KYOTU Technology impresses me most with their ability to quickly understand my business and product needs. Despite having no experience in my industry, they had almost no learning curve to understand what all of the various roles in my company did and what their user persona would need to do within our software.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At this time, I have no criticisms of the Kyotu team that would be severe enough to list here.

I am the president of a foundation whose statutory activities include animal protection and the promotion of a diet based on plant-based products.

For many years, we have been running an email program to help you try a plant-based diet - Become Vege for 30 Days. The popularity of smartphone applications has been growing for many years, and young people use email addresses less and less. We found that we needed a new tool in our program - a campaign

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew Kyotu from another application project in which we participated as partners. The decisive factors were good communication between us and the company's ability to implement all the solutions we needed in the new application.

We wanted to launch an application for both platforms - Android and iOS. We presented a plan on how the program works in the email version and the goal was to transfer it to the app. The key functionality was notifications and the gradual disclosure of the content of the advice in the program in order to provide the program participants with knowledge and motivation in a gradual and regular manner.

We have also implemented a new - in relation to the email program - functionality, i.e. a map of vegan and vegetarian-friendly places.

The application met all our expectations - it turned out that more people use it than the current - e-mail - version of the program.

While running the project, we used regular meetings and email communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Mindfulness in listening to our needs as well as openness and understanding for the purpose of the application and mission of our organization.

There is always a place to do something better - faster, cheaper, etc - but I think that in these conditions the company has done a very good job and we plan to expand the application and possibly create more and we only consider cooperation with Kyotu.

Doing AR you need to design a flexible, federated infrastructure as usage differs in time and service is unevenly, geographically distributed.

The team developed a custom platform to host Augmented Reality assets with CI/CD pipelines. Kyotu was human-centric and attentive to perfect User Experience.
