Krootl was responsible for building new features for consumer-facing experiences. They owned the frontend development for our mobile app and web platform. The features they developed included consumer engagement, media player engagement, login experience, and visuals to enhance the UI.

Krootl delivered as expected and did a good job. They became a comfortable, embedded part of our team and worked seamlessly with us, even though we were at a distance and working remotely.

Their project management was stellar. Krootl’s team member was an embedded part of our team, and the critical operations team had monthly email check-ins as needed.

Weekly updates and reports presented during virtual weekly meetings, daily communication and interaction on Slack.

Yes, the Krootl Team delivered the items on time and kept us constantly updated about the Project Status. Whenever we have updated our needs and asked for additional tasks, the Teams been very responsive to deliver accordingly.

I was the Research and Development Director for Frameworks Group Ltd and I worked on the development of apps.

To develop digital apps that supported and increased people's wellbeing. Our goal was to enhance the wellbeing of people, to offer them the information and tools to set targets, goals, track habits and ultimately improve their quality of life.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found out about the team through mutual connections in the sector. The deciding factors in engaging with this vendor were their ability to grasp the project brief and project goals very quickly, their proactiveness in developing the project as a whole, and their good depth of knowledge of the sector and previous experience. Their attitude to working and how they approached our goals was refreshing, and we benefited significantly from their guidance.

There were a number of initial discovery meetings, and then wireframes were developed soon after. We were at beta testing very quickly, with revisions being incorporated and updates made along the way at every step.

The app was developed for both iOS and Android simultaneously. The product features included push notifications, multiple screens and an admin feature.

Three - two front and back end developers and a designer who also took on project management responsibility.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Incredibly high performance of both iOS and Android app versions, and feedback from early stage users confirmed it's easy to use navigation and impact in making them accountable for their daily actions, so succeeded in a key project outcome.

The project manager was easy to contact, all three team members were available for in-person meetings, calls, and all collaboration material was exchanged using Slack. Zoom and Asana were also used effectively. Highly responsive and proactive team.

Their skills in turning project brief into tangible digital products was outstanding. Their ability to react quickly and effectively to changes to the project, and their work agility was second to none. Their work ethic was phenomenal, and their commitment to the project was highly valuable.
