I am a co-owner of an online retailer of Greek wines and spirits worldwide.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kollective?

We hired Kollective as a full service consultant for all our online marketing needs. The main aspects we had an immediate need for were SEO for our website and online advertising via google and facebook ads.

What were your goals for this project?

We simply wanted to gain more awareness of our eshop to a relevant audience and of course to increase overall online sales.

We really did not have any in-house experience in online marketing when we came into contact with Kollective. Through our initial meeting we gained a much better understanding of the options available to us and the benefits that various different approaches had to our bottom line.

The project such as it is has been ongoing since 2016 so of course over that time Kollective has been involved with a wide range of activities aimed at the overall goals stated above.

We were in contact with all of the team as needed depending on the specific issue we were looking at and the expertise of the Kollective team member that was needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our cooperation with Kollective is ongoing but the largest success we had in terms of absolute numbers was the SEO optimisation project we completed in late 2017.

After a couple of months of not much change all of a sudden our organic traffic really went up a lot, almost tripling in the following six months or so. And it has stayed at these levels ever since.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have no complaint with the workflow, they are always available for 'random' questions we might have and timelines for specific actions are always upheld.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their knowledge of all aspects of digital marketing was impressive, we really had no idea of the scope of what digital marketing actually means in practice!

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can think of none, we are very happy as is proven by the continuing cooperation.

I’m the general manager of Cocoon Suites, a hotel based in Santorini, Greece.

We started by doing some marketing together, specifically Google Ads and social media marketing. Kollective’s role has since expanded to redeveloping our website. 

I wanted a fast, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive site to attract more people. Kollective got it done, incorporating the latest trends and our needs.

I mostly speak with Lynn (Founder, Kollective). I also talk to Paul (Partner, Kollective) sometimes.

How did you come to work with Kollective?

I took many offers from the most famous agencies in Greece, but a friend recommended Kollective. Once I spoke with Lynn, I knew that he would be a very trusted partner. When I tested them, I was thrilled with the results, the communication we had, and the analysis they gave me every time we discussed something.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2017, and the work is ongoing.

We’ve seen a huge increase in our direct bookings thanks to the digital marketing and sales management we did with Kollective. We’ve seen a 150% increase in our direct bookings. Our total revenue growth is over 100%.

How did Kollective perform from a project management standpoint?

We have daily and monthly goals. Kollective has very good communication and is always on time. We talk via email and phone and speak every two days.

They’re accessible and have immediate responses. Their communication distinguishes them.

We saw their work on a similar hotel and liked it, so we contacted them. Kollective had a more personal approach, and we liked how they communicated efficiently without a lot of technical things we couldn’t understand.

We started working with Kollective in January 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

We’re having a successful first year of operations with all direct bookings so far since we are not listed on the OTAs yet.

How did Kollective perform from a project management standpoint?

Kollective delivers on time, even when we delay giving them some materials they ask for. We mainly communicate via phone calls, in-person meetings, and emails. We’re a bit old school in communications, and Kollective has accommodated that.

Kollective’s way of communicating stands out. They help us understand the digital hospitality tools we can make use of and why we might use some more than others.

There’s nothing Kollective could improve on.

We originally did SEO for our website. The process was easy for me since I did not have to do much - I am not a technical person. We eventually redesigned our website to be better on mobile phones. Again they took care of the details and I am happy with the results.

I originally came into contact with Lynn in 2008, when Kollective was formed we continued with them since the relationship was there and good. Over time I have spoken to other team members but I do not recall their names!

Mythical Blue is a luxury hotel on the island of Santorini in Greece. I am the reservations manager for the hotel.

We hired Kollective to redesign our website and to handle our digital marketing activities.

We needed a website that was easy to update and showed a more modern look for the hotel which was refurbished in 2019.

We came into contact with Kollective through a partner. We met them and the communication and their knowledge seemed good so we proceeded with the project.

The initial project was for our new website which was completed in early 2020. After that we started an online advertising campaign which had been disrupted somewhat by the covid19 pandemic.

What was the team composition?

We work most closely with Lynn and have also discussed things with Paul and Argyro as needed. I am not sure how many more members there are, these are the people we have talked to.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most impressive thing for me is that even though the covid19 crisis hit just as the 2020 tourist season was beginning in Greece, Kollective didn't give up! We shifted quickly from paid advertising to SEO and have added new languages to our website to make sure we are stronger going forward.

Very effective. They are always available for questions and are very patient in explaining technical details.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are always willing to answer questions we have even for subjects outside our official service agreement. They are truly a partner for all aspects of digital.
