As a leading company in our field, TreoConnect Inc. always seeks to partner with reputable and reliable service providers to maintain our high standards. Unfortunately, our decision to work with Kodytechnolab, an app development company based in India, turned out to be one of the worst business decisions we have ever made. 

Our experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, fraught with delays, poor communication, and substandard technical work. Our experience with Kodytechnolab has been overwhelmingly negative. Their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and technical incompetence have caused us substantial financial and reputational damage. We urge other businesses to steer clear of Kodytechnolab to avoid similar frustrations and losses. 

Partnering with a development company is a critical decision, and we strongly advise thorough vetting and caution. TreoConnect Inc. has learned this lesson the hard way, and we hope our review serves as a warning to others. Our recommendation is to avoid Kodytechnolab at all costs. The risk is simply too great, and the potential consequences are too severe.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most troubling aspect of our experience with Kodytechnolab was their evident lack of technical expertise. The initial version of the app they delivered was riddled with bugs and performance issues. Basic functionalities were either broken or poorly implemented. 
We encountered frequent errors and significant security vulnerabilities, which were unacceptable given the sensitive nature of our business operations. 
Despite our detailed feedback and repeated requests for corrections, the quality of their work did not improve. Each subsequent correction of the app introduced new problems without adequately addressing the existing ones. It became clear that Kodytechnolab lacked the capability to deliver a product that met even the most basic industry standards.
Financial Losses and Frustrations: The prolonged delays and substandard quality of work resulted in significant financial losses for TreoConnect Inc. We invested a considerable amount of money into this project, expecting a robust and reliable app. Instead, we ended up with a dysfunctional product that required extensive rework by another development team. The opportunity cost in terms of lost business and damaged reputation is immeasurable.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

From the very beginning, Kodytechnolab demonstrated a lack of professionalism and organizational skills. The project timeline they provided was reasonable, yet they failed to adhere to it at every step. Initially, there were minor delays, which we were willing to overlook, considering the complexity of the project. However, these delays quickly snowballed into major setbacks. What was supposed to be a 6-month project dragged on for over a year. Despite numerous follow-ups and status meetings, the team at Kodytechnolab consistently failed to meet their deadlines.
Effective communication is crucial in any partnership, especially in a remote working relationship. Kodytechnolab's communication was abysmal. Emails went unanswered for weeks, and when they did respond, their replies were often vague and unhelpful. Scheduled calls were frequently missed or postponed without notice. This unresponsiveness left us in the dark, making it impossible to effectively plan and make informed decisions about our project.

There was nothing impressive or unique regarding Kodytechnolab. Not once I paid in advance for their services and their claims of market expertise proved false.

I’m the founder & CEO of Tevio, a multi-vendor delivery application.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kody Technolab?

I wanted to develop an app that allowed people to order food, grocery items, and other products online.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Kody Technolab to develop a customer-facing app and a vendor-facing app for iOS and Android. Both of these apps also have a web interface. The technologies they used are Java for the backend and API, Angular for the frontend panel, Flutter for the customer-facing app, and PostgreSQL for the database.

We’ve just finished developing the applications, and we are currently in the deployment phase of the project.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with a project manager, a business analyst, a UX developer, a frontend developer, a backend developer, and a senior QA engineer from Kody Technolab.

How did you come to work with Kody Technolab?

We found Kody Technolab through online research. They were offering more than the other companies that I had reached out to were offering, so I decided to go with them for this project.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent $22,600 on this project so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, we’ve been very satisfied with Kody Technolab’s work. They do everything for me, and they go above and beyond to help me understand the things that I don’t get. They’ve also been very helpful in helping me make critical decisions in terms of the app’s development.

How did Kody Technolab perform from a project management standpoint?

Kody Technolab has performed well in terms of project management. They consistently meet all of their deadlines. We primarily communicate through Slack, but we also have regular Zoom meetings after every milestone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kody Technolab is an incredibly helpful partner. They go above and beyond to answer my questions, and they’re always available to break things down for me in a way that I would understand.

Make sure to trust their process because they definitely deliver.

Ours is an online Fashion Marketplace and I am the CEO of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kody Technolab, and what were your goals?

This generation's fashion trend is all about providing aesthetics and chic designs. We wanted a platform app which would relate with the trend. Being from a Non-tech background it was very strenuous to find exactly on what platform should my app be built. After a vigorous research I came to Know about flutter. I saw the apps built using flutter were exactly what I wanted.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After Deciding Flutter will be the platform, I surfed the net to find the companies proficient in this. I came across Kody Technolab and I learned that they were early adopters of Flutter and have frequently contributed to the flutter community.

Learning this I was convinced that these folks really know their sport and I should talk to them. After few rounds of introductory calls, I asked them for their work portfolio and then things started materializing and after few rounds of negotiation we started the project.

We had a meeting, I shared my list of requirements. After this I was first given a document of the features and the wireframe.

After few changes we moved ahead with the static designing and then after changes and iterations the development phase started.

Once the development started I realized I needed few additional features and Kudos to the kody team for incorporating them promptly and without any inconvenience.

Kody has been very prudent in these matters after years of experience they know that features change time to time and to avoid any future inconvenience they fixed an hourly rate for the changes while signing the agreement papers.

I was assigned 7 different people in different phases of the development. There was a full time project manager who was really supportive. The senior guys were also in the loop in each step of the journey.

We will be kicking off soon.

We used Slack for most of our communications, meet and emails were also handy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were not only developing my app and website, but they were also living the journey. Guiding me and suggesting me do's and don'ts if something went missing from my end they used to remind me about it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Selecting, finalizing a server was a hassle for me, not getting one delayed the project. I'd suggest them to have an inhouse team dedicated for this stuff.

We wanted to start with a new and fresh Design of our Mobile App. Also we wanted to have a 1.0 version of that App to go to market.

Kody's references where good, and they had proven experience in the Flutter framework of Google. Also their Price / Quality ratio was interesting.

Very nice and fresh Design The development was okay, yet lacking some experience on Firebase. We had to test a lot because bugs kept coming up.

Kody having both Design and Flutter skills resulted in a beautiful App.

More testing and quality assurance on Kody's side would have helped.
