CRM, Email marketing, Helpdesk, Billing, Analytics and figuring out where the data overlaps and where it’s broken. they built a central data pipeline that pulls info from all of them into one clean warehouse. they set up data governance rules so bad or duplicate data gets flagged before it messes things up. Then they created a dashboard that shows real-time numbers for sales, churn risk, and lead scoring. they also built AI models that predict which customers might leave and which leads are most likely to convert. they didn’t just hand it over, they trained my team so we can run and tweak it ourselves without calling them every time.

Kanerika partnered with Entravision US Media to replace our Redshift warehouse with Snowflake, transforming our entire data warehouse environment to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. This process involved mapping and migrating all existing data structures, including tables, schemas, and views, and reworking ETL processes to leverage Snowflake’s capabilities. 
We ensured compatibility with downstream tools and integrations, optimized query performance, and addressed security and compliance requirements throughout. The migration also included training our team to effectively manage and query the new platform while minimizing disruption to existing workflows and business operations.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We evaluated and measured critical queries on our old Redshift stack to address performance bottlenecks and engineered improvements for Snowflake, resulting in significantly faster and more efficient query execution. ETL processes and build cycles were optimized to complete faster and reduce costs, making operations more efficient and cost-effective. 
We ensured the data shape was spot-on for all required tables and streamlined materialization processes, leading to major gains in processing speed. These improvements hit our performance and budget goals, showing clear wins in efficiency, cost savings, and data accuracy.

Kanerika managed the project exceptionally well, particularly given the challenges of working under pressure in an environment that required extensive reverse engineering of code and inherited artifacts. When critical blockers arose, they were incredibly flexible, bringing in additional resources as needed to ensure progress. Remarkably, they adhered to the 12-week timeline, which was a tremendous achievement for a project of this scope and complexity. Kanerika was our eyes and ears and primary point of contact for the whole SAP implementation project. That meant making sure we were aligned on all requirements, that all testing was being done properly and participating in workshops to make sure we were in line with what the global implementation team were doing.

They also worked on our cost system to develop software that aggregated data from our various tools and created cost reports from that. There’s a whole process to collecting data several times a month, normalising to fix any errors in that process and then handing over reports to us so we could keep on top of all that information.

This was the third SAP implementation I’ve worked on and this was the smoothest of all by far. That was due to many people but Kanerika did a great job from the project controls perspective to make sure everything flowed well from one team to another throughout the work.

On top of that they just deliver fantastic quality every time. I’ve never worked with anyone on the team there who doesn’t deliver in all the ways I’ve described. Kanerika is good at what they do and how they do it, so I have complete confidence in everything I hand over to them.

The only thing that could improve the engagement overall would be if they had more bench staff so they could take on a bit more work. I know that’s a balancing act as well especially in times like these so I don’t blame them for that.
