I´m Managing Director of Right People Group in Spain. RPG is an IT consultancy company, an expert in helping clients with the use of external workforce.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kalinax?

Projects regarding BI, more precisely Power BI, but also related to other similar tools. They can be more technical, functional, consultancy, etc. The last project was about helping set up, giving structure to it, and giving few courses.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have already worked with them in the past. They are extremely professionals, they are very proficient in the subject and always give us the best result. Regardless if we are talking about the technical aspects or consultancy area.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The last project was related to courses about advanced utilities of DAX Language, Segmenters and Markers, in data visualization. But this is only one of many.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In general, the KPI´s and other markers are always improving when there has been enough time to check after they were working with us. And it´s not only the obvious improvement in our internal processes and the outcome that you get from that. Is also the experience of working with them what makes it great.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Perfect. As I say, they have full experience with it, and they know how to make it great for both parties.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They make things happen. It´s not just saying things, but making them happen. But this is only one of many.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don´t think so.

We were overspending on Digital ads to the wrong audience and needed help to position the brand in front of the wider market, make data-driven decisions on social, targeting and content as well as identify behaviours and characteristics that distinguish those who are more likely to buy so that we spend more effort where it is worth.

We found there were not too many companies like Kalinax. They were unique in terms of the service and support they could provide for the brand. Not only does their team have a wealth of experience but we saw their dedication and commitment to what they do. Their values also align with Corc Yoga which is an extra bonus.

After beginning with a series of meetings, Kalinax has been focusing on the major drivers for our business and has been working on developing strategies to augment efforts with high ROI; make data- driven changes to website and user experience.

I work directly with the founders of the organization.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are still in the beginning stage of development and based on the team's performance, we have full confidence we will see progress in the upcoming months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have weekly meetings with the project managers (Founders of the organization). They always provide their updated weekly reports. The team at Kalinax has done a consistent job of following through what they are committed to.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their commitment to learning about our business and doing all the necessary research at the start was impressive. They truly care about the brand and want to help us reach our goals, They are always willing to work outside the box to adapt to our needs.

I'm the Head of Partnerships at Motion Software, we're a software consulting company serving clients in the area of Banking and FinTech, Healthcare, Education and Blockchain.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kalinax?

We consult tech companies in the area of software development and needed a QA engineer for one of our teams. We didn't have the right resource so we hired an external resource from Kalinax.

What were your goals for this project?

To find the resource with the necessary skill set as quickly as possible, which Kalinax satisfied perfectly.

How did you select Kalinax?

We considered applicants from other vendors, but Kalinax was the only one who combined a perfect skillset match of the engineer with the ability to work on a flexible engagement model.

Describe the project in detail.

The client team had absolutely no prior experience with software testing and didn't know how to manage this in a large scale project, so Kalinax managed to fill this gap well, while working very independently, which helped the client manage their workload much better.

What was the team composition?

SCRUM Master, Team Lead, a few software developers, as well as the quality assurance engineer from Kalinax.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Even though the client had to cancel this engagement as they filled the position internally, they formally expressed their gratitude for the work Kalinax did and extended the engagement with one month so that Kalinax can train the new team and transfer all the knowledge they've gathered.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow with the Kalinax team was always effortless - both their management team and their engineers were communicating very well and were always considerate enough to do it on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed on how professional they were, even when the requests were for highly specialized resources.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the former intelligence director for a multinational logistics services company. My role included driving innovation across the four business units of the company through partnerships with other science agencies and leveraging technology and database tools.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Kalinax?

The company had a long history and a lot of data to go along with that history. We needed support leveraging, structuring, and ultimately making sense of that data so we could provide leadership with actionable insights.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kalinax’s responsibility was to consult on how to handle and analyze our available data. They primarily helped us to predict the likelihood of future events in regard to customer activity, including points like when we could expect spikes and troughs of new volume. These predictions were made from a large dataset that was entered into prediction engines and algorithms built off them.

What is the team composition?

Kolyo (Founder & CEO) was our main point of contact. Behind the scenes, we also worked with data analysts and scientists, who were responsible for building the algorithms and developing visualization applications.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from June 2014–January 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Kalinax added a great deal of internal value to our company. The accuracy of the predictions the team gave was incredibly high — at least 10% above industry norms. We even celebrated some of their early findings in various publications.

Ultimately, their work brought enlightenment and a different perspective within the company and helped drive the business forward effectively.

Overall, the engagement was very positive, demonstrating the quality of both their leadership and their broader workforce. They’re a dynamic, young company that’s ahead of the data science curve both in terms of the applications they work with and the caliber of their deliverables. 

How did Kalinax perform from a project management standpoint?

Kalinax is a highly energetic, motivated, and approachable team. They’re committed and results-driven, taking the time to meet with key decision-makers to understand the needs, pains, and objectives of our business. 

Throughout the project, the team kept in close contact and followed a good schedule in terms of progress and milestone reviews, as well as internal updates. They worked on our internal project management program, which allows for a combination of instant messaging, email, and web meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The passion Kalinax brought to the project was the best part of our engagement. They calibrated extremely well with our internal team, making the collaboration feel more like a partnership than a typical client-vendor relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Working with Kalinax was a highlight of my time with the company.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take the time to get to know the individuals on Kalinax’s team. Also, define the terms of work early on, like communication approach, milestone check-ins, and objectives.
