Kaii provided us with website design and development services, starting from researching and understanding our corporate objectives, tonality and brand identity, moving onto designing the user interface as well as working on a seamless user experience and also developing the website in a way that it is responsive and easy to use

1. The website is now more secure 
2. The backend is a lot easier for us to edit the data 
3. The website responsiveness is a lot faster than it was before 
4. The design is more aligned with our current brand identity & image

The delivery was timely and professional and the backend team (design & development to be specific) are superstars. I would recommend them without double-thinking. Although we are not very familiar with technical terms, they did an amazing job at explaining to us what can and cannot be done and supported us to reach our goals, However, when it comes to the project management team, the communication was bumpy. 

There were a lot of misunderstandings that could have easily been eliminated with proper communication, whether that is face-to-face or video calls, but we found ourselves a lot of the time wasting not hours, but days in back-and-forth emails and Whatsapp texts. Not only did it waste time and effort from both sides, it also built gaps between what we expect and what Kaii Lab expects. 

Even when we had calls, a lot of the times we witnessed defensiveness or rigidity before even properly getting a clear understanding of the business need. Although the communication could have been better, we undoubtedly appreciate the effort put from all of the team members and we know everyone's intentions were good :)

Since this is not the first time for us to work with Kaii Lab, I would say the most impressive things are: 

1. How effortless, neat and smart the designs always are 
2. How understanding the management and most of the account management team are. It is always a make it or break it for a corporate to have a partner with good business acumen because it really allows us to grow together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Kaii Lab could have done differently?

Enhance communication and propose face-to-face meetings at times of misunderstandings to bridge gaps.

While their overall delivery was a success, a small area of improvement was their communication turnaround time.

Project management was satisfactory but could be better. Certain standards can be implemented for coordination between the client and the vendor, but these are only minor details.

The professional assigned to my project became deeply involved with the brand at an almost personal level. It felt like I was working with an in-house team that took the work very seriously. She was able to quickly identify with the brand before developing the strategy, so the final product felt very personal and unique to us.

As mentioned, project management from the perspective of coordination could have been slightly better, but it was still a treat to work with the account manager, and she was very professional.

After reviewing all the companies, and with many meetings, we decided to go with Kaii Labs, for the following reasons:

Since, we did not launch yet, due to some difficulties in the development, we cannot consider the success of the outcomes, nevertheless, internally, we are glad about the work.

Schedules were clear, and they were always ready for any help or meetings relying on our availability, which was honestly incredible.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive part is that they added people to the team who were really interested & passionate about our product. In addition, to the future plans they had for our social media accounts!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, there is one part. I used to receive new emails every time they wanted to schedule a meeting or for updates. Therefore, I would suggest them to use one email thread instead of new emails which can be missing or lost
