JHAVTECH Studios delivers quality work and is very competitively priced. The team is reactive and quick to respond to issues.

JHAVTECH Studios delivers on time and has good project management. We use Jira for tickets and Microsoft Teams for day-to-day communication. We meet with them daily to work through different things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed with JHAVTECH Studios' flexibility, professionalism, and responsiveness. We haven't had any performance issues with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren't any. We wouldn't have stuck with them for this long if we're not happy with their performance.

Our Research team had developed an algorithm for detecting sleep issues via eyelid movements. It worked via the eyelid signal detected from the iPhone TrueDepth camera in conjunction with ARKit.

We needed a team with experience in iPhone app development and UX design. They were to develop a user-friendly consumer app to bring our technology to market. Further, they were to support us in publishing it on the Apple App Store.

The app was successfully brought to completion and launched on the Apple App Store.

The project did run overtime, although the scope changed as our requirements changed. JhavTech were very responsive in adjusting the deliverables and providing reasonable quotes for all extra work involved.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

JhavTech have extremely great value for money. Most other app development companies are expensive and do a lot more up-front waterfall-style planning. If you know the requirements will change throughout a project and want a more agile approach, they’re fantastic.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Jhavtech Studios could have done differently?

JhavTech could have done more work up-front to understand the complexities around integrating our software into the app, although this would likely have increased the cost. For our purposes, each decision made sense.

Java Tech continue to work with us on development through our platform. This includes fixing bugs, further development of our platform, and even creative design through the platform to help it grow into its next phase to describe the scope of work is too vary of a project as there has been lots of aspects they have worked on us developing us scope projects which get delivered on a timely matter with little to no set backs.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As previously mentioned, there is a lot of aspects that were involved within this project as they're still ongoing through development and different phases to help develop our platform. Measurable outcomes for the rent venture platform would be on a basis of package deals from JavaTech JavaTech present the packages based on what we have given them. They then give us a timeline of when completed with an open communication channel where anything that needs to get ran through us or them is contributed through this platform. This then gets done on a timely matter with little to no setbacks.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Javatec project managers have a fast of different knowledge with every package. We haven't had any issues with JavaTech and delivering packages on time. If they do request more time, it is always spoken about in an open communication channel and agreed upon. Any additional requests would be posted within the click up software again with an open communication channel and agreed upon time on when this could get completed. There is also a meeting once a week to discuss any issues that might have occurred then that week or any outstanding tasks that need to be taken either by us or by JavaTech.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I find their communication to be the most impressive. How much willing to learn or to give feedback. We have had previous developers in the past who have let us down the wrong path and it's it's a bit of a relief to have JavaTech working for us knowing that if we do set them a task it does get done without any setbacks.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Jhavtech Studios could have done differently?

Probably one thing that JavaTech could improve on and it's not the project managers would be their communication through emails with some of the techs. Sometimes it can get lost in translation. Not to say that they're English isn't great, but sometimes obviously with being from Australia our terminologies can be a different and can sometimes be construed differently which is always fixed once we've had a meeting so never really becomes a true issue.

Design and Build to Healthily Specification a Windows Desktop app that integrates the Best Practice patient management application with GoShare. The app can be installed onto medical / GP practice's servers or desktop/laptops to provide doctors and practice managers ability to send GoShare patient education bundles - either to individual patients - or access Healthily provided  library of Best Practice database SQL queries to find list of patients matching certain criteria (eg eligible for a Pneumococcal vaccine).
Challenges include - calculation of SMS charges / credits, send by email, sms or both; utilising the GoShare APIs, calculating to allow for splitting large cohorts of patients into multiple bacthes to be sent over time, allow for individual selection / de-selection of patients, registering the app so as to allow it to be downloaded without antivirus warnings.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Budget - budget was met - fixed price with some minor change requests whcih were priced fairly and affordably
• Schedule - the app was developed and delivered for UA on schedule. Final testing took a nuber of iterations due to the complexities of desktop widget UX
• Usability - the app is very user firednely and well designed UX. The developer was great at suggesting tweaks and solutions to improve the UX during UAT.
• Quality - the app - once a long iterative thorough UAT was completed - is of high quality. Healthily's clients have been able to easily download, install and run the app to achiev their desired outcomes - only 1 BUG reported since Go Live in the last 6 months

Project management was excellent. Separate rpoject manager oversaw the scheduling of the development, the UAT and the few minro Chaneg requests.

I'm the owner of a software service company that provides online mobile services to the construction industry. We focus on managing risk, contractor compliance, and safety on construction sites.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Jhavtech Studios?

We asked them to address the issue of automating the recording of sight attendance on construction sites and toolbox talks at safety meetings. In the industry, it’s fairly common for apps to use geofencing technology, but the main problem was that users had to set up the app in the first place and provide all the required permissions. Geofencing technology uses a lot of battery, too, and workers often found their phone batteries running empty. 

We had a progressive web app (PWA) that was provided to builders, contractors, and workers to maintain their records. Using the app, workers could scan a QR code, and the app determined whether they were registered and inducted into the site safety rules before allowing them to sign in. That required workers to physically go the the construction site to scan the QR code, which wasn't always convenient, especially when the work was taking place some distance from the entry. 

We decided to use low-energy Bluetooth beacons as an alternative to geofencing. We engaged with an Indian company to build a native app that detected when the device was close to a beacon and asked the user to sign in. We wanted to work with an Australian company for maintenance and post-launch support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Jhavtech Studios provides technical support and maintenance for our native application. The team has helped us extend the app as we learn more; for instance, it automatically signs in workers when it detects a Bluetooth beacon. Jhavtech Studios has updated the app and addressed issues with the app's notifications. 

The app functions in Microsoft Power Apps and uses Microsoft Dataverse as its database. Jhavtech Studios is migrating our databases to SQL server, and all our apps run in Microsoft Azure. We've also asked the team to audit our environment to advise on best practices.

Jhavtech Studios is a disciplined organization with a highly competent team. Jhavtech Studios has reviewed our code and fixed bugs, assisting us in getting the app approved by the Google Play Store and App Store. 

How did Jhavtech Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Jhavtech Studios manages work using ClickUp and extensively documents every step of the project. We haven't had disputes over what is requested. Jhavtech Studios is very quick and responsive; I can always call them if I have questions. We communicate via Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jhavtech Studios is a highly experienced team managing projects and interpreting client requirements. The team is flexible when I don't have time to create a written request in ClickUp; I can call them and discuss my requests, too.

I can't think of anything for Jhavtech Studios to improve — I'm very happy with how they work.

I recommend having a clear idea of what you want to achieve with your project. The clearer idea you have, the better the outcome will be. If you don't have a clear idea, Jhavtech Studios can advise you on how to approach things according to their expertise. Navigating the mobile app development world is complicated, and Jhavtech Studios is good at helping with that. Jhavtech Studios is a good partner if you don't have experience in developing apps.

Once launched we have had over 1000 downloads and got to as high as 41 on the app store charts. Any minor bugs and teething issues the Jhavtech team was extremely proactive to rectify

Ruchir the project manager was very easy to deal with. He would respond always at his earliest convenience and was willing to work through everything to ensure it married up with my vision. He would send progress reports during the early development stages of the project until ready for testing which i loved

I was extremely impressed by the how quickly the team would attend to any issues or disruptions and would make it a priority to rectify until it was how i had envisioned. The team were also very accommodating with any minor rectifications outside the building scope which helped develop a great relationship

I won't have any metrics on the app's success until it’s launched, but for the price I've paid, I'm extremely happy with the final app. It looks beautiful, the functionality is excellent, and everything works well.

Jhavtech Studios has performed well in terms of project management. They've been very responsive, transparent, and supportive. Whenever there's been issues or miscommunications, they've been very helpful in quickly fixing them.

I’m impressed with Jhavtech Studios’ patience, supportiveness, excellent listening skills, and accessible pricing. They also have a really great team synergy.

It took a bit of time to get the app to look exactly how I wanted it to look, but implementing my feedback more accurately and quickly is something that they’re already working on.

I hired them to develop our app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I turned over the prototype I had with Jhavtech Studios. After which, they've developed the iOS and Android app, which is a mindfulness and motivation platform. Users can receive quotes through notifications and they've been able to implement the quotes including the user's name and other features.

They then set up our website, landing page, UI/UX, and other things. They've been able to link the landing page to the App Store which takes users straight to the app. The graphics and the visuals they've used on the landing page are based on the prototype we've given them. They’ve been able to provide marketing and consulting services, too. In addition, they have partners that can help with grants and marketing and everything else. Through this project, I've met with a lot of their partners.

What is the team composition?

We’ve only talked to Rahul (Founder & Director) and Sid (Head of Technology & Delivery), but I imagine they have a team supporting them. Sid serves as the project lead.

How did you come to work with Jhavtech Studios?

The people that did the app prototype suggested working with Jhavtech Studios. Based on all the interviews, knowledge, and experience they had, I chose them.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent close to $30,000–$40,000 AUD (approximately $21,660–$28,880 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership began in June 2021, and we are going through maintenance right now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Jhavtech Studios has been very good; they work well with me and they’ve done everything they could to make my vision become a reality. We’ve just launched the app, and the feedback we’ve received has been positive. People are quite happy with the app and the idea behind it.

How did Jhavtech Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a list of payment terms when we set up the contract, so we govern everything through that. Essentially, once a milestone is achieved, we release payment. So far, that arrangement works well. For budget, although we've set our preferred cost, there have been a few extras we've had to spend because there have been things that have been difficult to pre-determine. Despite that, their cost has been reasonable.

On communication, we’ve been impressed by their ability to keep us in the loop about what’s going on all the time; they consistently send us weekly updates and summaries. More importantly, there’s always clarity on what they’re going to do next.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The fact that they’re local has been a big thing and that’s probably something that has helped me a lot. On top of that, they’re transparent, and if there are any problems, nothing is too hard for them. Overall, they’ll do whatever it takes to overcome an issue.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I’ve been pretty happy with our overall experience. Although the actual submission process of the app took a bit longer than expected, that was no fault of anyone. We mostly waited on Apple and fixed their feedback, so we had a lot of back and forth during that process.
