She never pressured me to work with them; instead, she focused on what was genuinely best for the business at this time.

As a non-technical founder who has worked with and interviewed a number of agencies, Natalie's ability to makes technical discussions easy to understand was both refreshing and incredibly valuable.

The engagement has concluded, with the core development completed. We are monitoring confidentiality compliance post-engagement and considering future outside consulting arrangements for tax-related updates.

How did your relationship with your partner evolve?

We began with a promising and communicative working relationship, and the team was technically competent throughout. However, over the course of the engagement, there was notable turnover — including the departure of our core developer and two project managers — which disrupted continuity and pointed to potential internal issues. Toward the end, standards around NDA enforcement also changed in a way that conflicted with our agreement, ultimately raising concerns about long-term accountability. JetRockets publicly shared project details without our consent, failed to limit access to NDA-protected materials, and denied any accountability in the process. These were not minor policy disagreements but clear breaches of trust.

In what ways can they improve?

While the new staff was competent and met deadlines, greater consistency and clarity around confidentiality commitments after project completion are needed. Ensuring that all team members, new and old, uniformly respect NDA terms would strengthen long-term client trust.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Make sure the agreement includes explicit terms around continuity, team structure, and long-term confidentiality, and clarify how those will be honored if team members leave. If your project involves sensitive intellectual property or long-term tax or legal compliance, confirm early how the firm handles knowledge retention and accountability once the active engagement ends.

 We’re disappointed to see this review revised so drastically, especially after the client initially left a 5-star review reflecting satisfaction with our work. The change does not reflect the quality of the services we provided, but rather a breakdown in alignment around internal policies—specifically related to NDAs.

The client requested that every individual team member sign personal NDAs. This request is highly unusual, not aligned with industry standards, and conflicts with our legal policies. To address their concerns, we offered multiple alternative approaches, including an addendum to a company-wide NDA, additional confidentiality clauses in our contract, and technical safeguards. Unfortunately, none of these were deemed acceptable by the client.

Throughout this process, we remained professional, transparent, and solution-oriented. We went above and beyond to find a path forward that would protect the client’s confidentiality without compromising the rights and privacy of our team. It became clear, however, that the client was unwilling to compromise or accept any reasonable alternative.

The updated review appears to be less about an honest reflection of our collaboration and more an emotional response to not getting their way. That’s unfortunate, as it undermines the efforts of a highly dedicated team who delivered quality work and maintained clear, timely communication throughout.

We hold ourselves to high standards—both in terms of what we deliver and how we engage with clients. We value mutual respect, clear boundaries, and professionalism. While not every partnership is a fit long-term, we believe reviews should reflect the actual work done—not policy disagreements rooted in unrealistic demands.

Progress was primarly measured based on the number of features from the old app had been migrated to the new app, which was observed through technical code reviews and demonstrations. We saw additional progress in UI designs in Figma.

They delivered on time, and were very responsive to all our needs. They offered us additional services when we needed them (such as more design work), and did it all very smoothly.

I have a strong programming background, but not in UI/UX and wanted to be very hands on with the development. This worried most companies that I interviewed. They did not want to me to be involved with the technical details. Jet Rockets was willing to take my demand on, effectively showing me the ropes for app development.

Occasionally there were some language barriers and miss understandings, but that is to be expected on a project like this. I am very satisfied with the work Jet Rockets did.

We some turnover in the PM's that handled the project, but Natalie was always very responsive to us. We had daily calls at one point. It was a learning opportunity on our side as well. At the end of the day, we were able to have our MVP live in time to meet the summer demand, and invested in a few additional features while in the maintenance phase of the partnership once live. JetRockets will always be a core part of our founder journey, and the MVP for our platform!

It's a junior workforce overseen by senior-level executives with deep experience. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something JetRockets could have done differently?

We appreciate how responsive Natalie was in addressing our feedback in real time. We learned a lot in the process as well. In hindsight, I think we could have benefited from a deeper discovery phase out of the gate and ensuring our designs were final 1-2 sprints ahead of what we were currently building. We also didn't fully onboard to the systems JetRockets used - like Asana - until months into the project, but that was more attributable to a new PM that ultimately didn't work out. Lastly, and just an opportunity to mull over ahead, is that working with non-tech founders is probably as much about education as it is about execution. Revamping the onboard process to be more like a "quick course" for new clients to get them up to speed on basic development language, standard processes, what to expect, etc would probably go a long way. Natalie's Linkedin content is very educational and she is clearly passionate about working with non-tech founders. Creating comprehensive, evergreen resources that both her team and clients could benefit from would likely maximize the impact of her expertise.

 2. Improved Compliance and Accuracy: With the system’s task tracking, we dramatically improved our compliance rate in meeting our clients' cleaning and disinfection standards. The ability to document each step with timestamps ensures nothing is overlooked.

 3. Enhanced Documentation and Quality Assurance: The before and after photo functionality has added a layer of transparency. We are now able to visually track the condition of each piece of equipment.

JetRockets was able to analyze existing code, efficiently identify and correct errors/bugs, and launch the application for beta-testing within the projected timeline. Bugs that were taking our previous development team weeks to identify/fix took the JetRockets team days to correct. If we had started our project with JetRockets, we would have saved thousands of dollars and months of time.

We had 2 developer and a project manager assigned to our project. We met virtually once per week with the entire to team to discuss progress, issues and next steps in development. The completed the promised work on time. Throughout development, the team was incredibly communicative and responsive.

We transitioned the development of our mobile app to JetRockets after our initial developer failed to complete the project. They provided an honest assessment of the product we currently had and the costs/timeline required to get it where it needed to be. They patiently and expertly answered each of our questions and were actively engaged in every step of the transition process. JetRockets is developing the application from scratch. We’ve given them our designs, and they’ve been responsible for creating all the coding on the frontend and the backend logic. The app is for iOS and uses React Native on the frontend and generative AI and cloud providers to put everything together on the backend. We plan on keeping JetRockets on for maintenance and are currently in beta testing.

We’ve launched the app for beta testing, and we’re getting good feedback about it. Users enjoy the app; it is well-designed, polished, and easy to use. The response of the generative AI initially took a long time, but we figured out a mechanism to fix that, and now we have a much more responsive output. 

How did JetRockets perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been very happy with the general layout of the project management, and our project manager is very clear about communication deadlines. JetRockets is transparent about issues that come up. Our project is structured a bit differently than the previous project we worked on with them, but we’re satisfied with the engagement. We communicate via phone calls and a Slack channel. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is incredibly resilient, professional, and extremely dedicated. The developers had to relocate because of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, but they have continued to provide quality work despite those circumstances. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

A few structural issues have occurred, and we’ve had to retrain a few employees. This creates standard friction when figuring out how the new developer can get up to speed. However, we would expect this from most development companies. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

JetRockets can be expensive to work with, but they are a great choice if you have something that is complex or not fully developed. Explain what you need upfront because changing things in the middle of the project can make things difficult for the developers. Consult with them before the project starts because that will be helpful.
