I’m the head of IT at G4S Qatar, a security services company.

What challenge were you trying to address with JAS business systems?

We needed someone to do outsourcing work for our electronic security system department and implementation of our data centers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The data centers are managed by us. JAS business systems is mainly implementing it. We are mainly into networking, and they provide server and system implementation. There are changes in the services they provide. We procure our ERP systems through them.

What is the team composition?

We mainly are in touch with a couple of people per department including sales, the network side, and the server supply side.

How did you come to work with JAS business systems?

They were referred to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $200,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2007, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re very happy with them: they’re very good and offer great support and pricing.

How did JAS business systems perform from a project management standpoint?

We can call them at any time — even at night — and they are available to support us. There is no problem with the support. We have regular meetings to talk about the new requirements. If I need new portfolios added to their business, they’re normally introduced to us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The process side of the networking they do is very good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything is good. I haven’t faced any issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You can always negotiate the pricing with them. In critical projects, we give them a target price, and they always try to match it.
