I am the President and CEO of Lovaas Institute. We provide intensive behavioral therapy and education to children with autism. Our services take place in the child's home and school environment.

Our website was very old in both appearance and efficacy. It was cluttered and did no longer appeared professional. We hired iPer to design a new website and consult on web strategy that would use modern technology and design acumen to create an attractive brand and website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a number of web design firms based on references from our colleagues. iPer really took the time to listen to our quirky ideas and immediately laid out proposed ideas and strategies that further prompted my team to come up with more ideas. We started developing right in the interview. Because the two teams seemed to really jibe, and the excitement we felt at the possibilities we generated as partners, we made the decision to hire iPer about 20 seconds after the interview ended.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

This was not an easy project for iPer, not because of anything they did, but because the Lovaas team worked as a committee, and our team was not always on the same page. It took us quite a while to decide and deliver the content they needed to make the build happen. The iPer team was always patient and encouraging, even though I know our team could be quite pokey.

The project steps included developing a mood for brand, which was the portion of the process I was most impressed with iPer. They really took the time to understand our company, our philosophy, and our goals in presenting what we do.

The brand and the website we generated as a result of that early mood work REALLY represents who we are. After that, it was just a long slog of us getting our content right for the website. Again, iPer was understanding and patient as the Lovaas team went through the long process of matching our content to our brand.

Finally, iPer produced the extraneous deliverables (letterhead, email signature, etc.) to match the mood and look of our website. We are so happy with how the deliverables have turned out. Not really sure of the technologies iPer used other than WordPress, but they somehow took what we described, and made it happen on the webpage.

We worked with three main people at iPer. The owner, project developer, and web-designer. All were fantastic.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have received universal praise from our clients and employees regarding the look and communication of the website. We are in process now of incorporating digital business cards and other personnel-centric touches to the website. Our employees are loving the new modern technology in their presentation of themselves at conferences and other professional venues.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

As I've said previously, the Lovaas team was kind of slow, over-picky, and generally at odds with itself in delivering the content that iPer needed to progress our project. I we really cared about how it turned out, and thus those negative traits.

iPer was quick and thorough once we did deliver content and ideas when we did finally get them what we needed so we could pretty quickly see the fruits of our process. As far as iPer management style, they listened twice as much as they talked, really taking the time to understand our company culture and industry-specific needs, and then incorporating those ideas into the final, and beautiful, product.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What's impressive is their willingness to step outside the box to deliver a product that matches our company's culture. The final product and brand represents exactly who we are, in addition to meeting our web presence and advertising needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, nothing I can think of.

I’m the co-founder of a video production company that serves clients ranging from small nonprofits to large corporations, including publicly traded companies. From internal corporate communications and promotional videos to corporate social responsibility videos, we create a spectrum of products. Our videos are designed specifically for digital platforms like websites and social media platforms.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Iperdesign, Inc.?

They ran us through a rebranding process including a logo design and a website design. I’d been working under my own name for around six years as a sole proprietorship LLC, but I needed to grow and be seen as a production company, rather than an individual. They, similarly, have a small team but present as large company capable of taking on any challenge. This is the exact image that I wanted to portray of myself.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They started by sending over two separate questionnaires that asked for details on the website I wanted (pages, content, etc.) and another that asked about the style and creative ideas I was looking for. I provided them a few examples of other websites that both worked and didn’t work for me, and they took all that feedback into consideration. Moving forward, they sent me examples of iterations of the site; I was able to see the website coming together, from a wireframe to a fully-fledged product. The site is built on WordPress.

The website does a great job of showcasing videos; it has around 12 different portfolio videos, as well as case studies for specific videos with information about what went into making them. Additionally, the site has interactive parallax scrolling, which is engaging for users. There’s also a map with every place that we’ve worked — close to 37 different states. This is my favorite feature, as it shows the projects were that they executed in each location. This shows that, even though we’re based in Philadelphia, we’re still capable of working across the country and around the world.

Regarding the branding came up with the name, text, and copy, but Iperdesign helped with the logo, colors, and overall creative scheme. They were able to hear what we really wanted. First, they presented us with around 15–20 initial logo designs, along with indications of what kind of style they would represent to viewers: newer and modern, or older and classic. It was overwhelming, but in a good way; we were excited to have all those options. From there, we narrowed it down to 3–4 options, and they presented us with a full-on branding approach based on each logo.

The only other service they provided was SEO. A lot of the companies I interviewed would design our site but not provide SEO or posting.

What is the team composition?

We worked with around four people from their side. It’s nice to know that you’re being taken care of by a team, but it’s also nice to know that it will always be the same four people and that you won’t be tossed around.

The CEO, Eligio, was involved from the beginning — it was nice to know that the leadership took a stake in our project. There was also a number of web developers, each with a different role within the team.

How did you come to work with Iperdesign, Inc.?

I spent some time going through web developers in the area, as I wanted to use someone local to Philadelphia. We had a phone call where we interviewed them to find out what kind of services they could offer us.

After conversations with a few other companies, we decided to work with Iperdesign. This decision was followed by 3–4 of their team members joining us on a call, and we went over how we would like everything, which allowed them to deliver a cohesive estimate and contract for the work.

How much have you invested with them?

The overall cost was $500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2021–May 2022. There was a two-month period whewre we had to pause the project on our end because of our bandwidth, but Iperdesign has kept the timeline moving.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the company yet or our social media presence so we don’t have any metrics, but everyone I’ve shown the logo and wireframes and colors to is very excited. Everything is sleek and simple.

The final delivery met my expectations, and the process they took to get there exceeded my expectations. They’ve spent a large amount of time with me on Zoom listening to my specific feedback and engaging with me. I can’t help but think that I’m one of their smaller clients, but they treat me like an important player.

How did Iperdesign, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They were probably above average in this regard, as they were always ahead of schedule. The budget never really became an issue. We communicated via Zoom and email.

They were always receptive to changes and willing to make them immediately. I didn’t have to talk to 3–4 departments when I say something, as we’re all together — everyone gets on the same page at the same time.

Our single point of contact produces good response times, as I don’t have to worry about reaching out to the correct person.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They excelled at interacting with clients and making me feel good about the questions I asked. Rather than make me feel silly, they complimented me and provided a solution.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No — I can’t think of anything right now.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid to simply act and expand your work. When I came up with extra ideas, they didn’t charge me extra or say it would cause a slow-down in the process.

After an initial meeting to discuss the look & functionality of the website, Iperdesign presented 3 mood boards.Once I chose that, they began creating the look. They added other flourishes & elements I had not thought of and also linked to other platforms such as Square, supporting social media & added videos & a YouTube channel to highlight my work.we went through a few finalizing rounds and then testing the site prior to going “live”

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is a brand new site that has had a soft launch to date. The new brand launches within days to clients & through marketing. Feedback has been outstanding from clients who have “found” it already. It is gorgeous, functional, showcases my strengths as a spa facialist & highlights the space with so much support on the website! It will be a hit for sure!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very. They worked close together throughout and that made it easy on me as a business owner. I knew that I could trust everyone completely throughout the process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Iperdesign brings so much to the table. They listen, possess a tenuous level of interpreting what a client wants their site to look like & knew what I needed for support to be included when I didn’t. They are each thoughtful, caring & approach design exquisitely.

I cannot think of a single area that they could have done differently or improved upon. That is a rare gift!

The project was a brand new website. We had to work through every stage from the beginning and walk them through what they were looking for. Not only did they create our new website they also made our new logo and branding colors and font. They made us three prototypes before we decide on the final website design. They helped us through the website launch.

We worked with five team members on their end regularly. They do have other behind-the-scenes members that we did not work with.

They have helped us with every single question and any issues that have arrived. Our old site was unusable. They have addressed every single one of our concerns in a timely fashion and are always willing to help.

Great! Email and video conference. Always available if we had any concerns.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to always help is impressive! To take our crazy ideas and turn them into something magical. Our team can change our minds quickly about what we want and they were willing to help change and complete our requests right away.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Getting the website transferred to on GoDaddy was very stressful and I did not realize that I would need to do this on my mine with just email guidance.

I’m the assistant manager at the Italian American Committee on Education, an Italian language nonprofit that promotes the language in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs mainly funds us.

What challenge were you trying to address with Iperdesign, Inc.?

We needed our site to be completely redesigned from scratch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We sent them an idea of what we were looking for. We needed a completely new design, and there were some functionality integrations we needed with our social media and mailing list.

We sent them a few pages of what we wanted, and they came back to use with a few design options. We picked a couple that we liked, and they worked on it.

They designed and developed our WordPress site. We had an existing website, but we weren’t happy with it. It wasn’t user-friendly, and we didn’t like the graphics. They completely redid a website from scratch.

We told them a few functionalities we absolutely needed. Then, we sent them a few sites that we thought were well done.

What is the team composition?

At some point, there were 6 or 7 people working with us. The owner was our main point of contact. He coordinated the team.

Iperdesign, Inc. came highly recommended by one of our board members that had worked with them in the past. We got in touch, asked to see their portfolio, and had a big meeting with all of them to discuss our goals.

We worked together from July–September 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We use Google Analytics. I have a lot of feedback from our users, which are the students that purchase classes through our site. We got a bunch of emails as soon as we went live. They complimented the graphics.

There were some little things that weren’t as user-friendly as we thought they were, but they were very quick to fix them. We got a lot of positive feedback from everybody. In terms of data, there was definitely an increase in sales.

We had the most students we’ve ever had sign up through the site. We’re so happy.

How did Iperdesign, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

It was a very cooperative engagement. They were great, and we were in touch every day. They were responsive and nice.

We communicated via email and weekly Zoom calls with their developers and all of us. In every email, the owner leads the discussion, but everyone was copied.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very responsive and quick to work on every issue. Everybody is very accessible.

As soon as we went live, there’s always the first day problems. I asked them to fix something at 9 PM, and they were ready to work on it. They’re an awesome group.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The team was efficient and engaged from the start. Don’t be worried to overwhelm them with requests and ideas. They can handle it.

I am the owner of a massage therapy retail shop and education facility. We offer education courses for licensed massage professionals and sell massage tables, oils, and other supplies.

We offer both live and online courses, but the open-source site that hosted our online courses did not allow us to manage transactions. We were looking to cut out the middleman and create a website that allowed us to both sell and host our courses.

Iperdesign, Inc. created a whole new e-commerce website for us. On their recommendation, we moved our courses to a new platform called LearnDash. On top of that, they created a WordPress website that allows us to sell our classes. Their team also designed a new logo for our website.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their team successfully created a site where we can sell and host our courses. Our customer base is not tech-savvy, so we’ve had some difficulties there. However, the project met our goal of removing the middle man. 

How did Iperdesign, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Our main point of contact at Iperdesign, Inc. was great. They were very attentive and responded quickly to our questions. Sometimes some of our emails to them went to their spam folder, which did cause some minor confusion.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Iperdesign, Inc. remained open to learning new things throughout the project. Our project was a bit of an experiment for them, so we did end up teaching them some things about e-commerce. Their portfolio was also very impressive, and the owner of the company was very charismatic. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our UI/UX could have been handled better. We emphasized to them how important that aspect was, but we still run into issues. It was frustrating to have to do more research. We could have used a bit more handholding.

Make sure you know exactly what you need and how complex it is. If it’s complex, be prepared to educate their team on the details.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Throughout my time here, they’ve designed invitations, programs, sponsorship pieces, and other design elements for our gala and major events. Typically, the team sends us a few design ideas and after we select the ones that we like. 

Before they create the final product, we go through several rounds of editing with them because our CEO is quite particular. They then give us multiple formats of each design and send them to the printers if needed. Iperdesign, Inc. also helps us decide on themes for our events.

The themes they provide for our events makes them classy before they’re even actualized. Our events are successful and people are always happy so we attribute that to Iperdesign, Inc’s work. 

Every design has been amazing since we started working with the team so we very much appreciate all the work they’ve done. 

How did Iperdesign, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

When we go through edits, they are always very receptive to small tweaks and updates. They answer all of our questions and make sure to keep on schedule.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everything from putting the design together to choosing the quality of the paper, they’ve supported us through it. It’s been quite wonderful. The individualized care they give us is also something you don’t see when you often. 

We are such big fans of Iperdesign Inc.’s work which is why they’ve been our chosen vendor for over two decades. It’s been a good relationship from the onset.

I’m the VP of marketing at a financial services organization called FIMC.

What challenge were you trying to address with Iperdesign, Inc.?

We were going through a digital transformation within the organization, so we sought an agency that could support us on the redesign front.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Iperdesign, Inc. focused on three main design projects: our corporate site, our consumer site, and a UX/UI revamp of our internal .NET portal. The two web properties were built from scratch on WordPress, whereas the portal involved refining the existing functionality and developing additional ones based on our scope.

Currently, we’re going through a full rebrand, so we’ve engaged them again to change our typography, color palette, and more. 

What is the team composition? 

Anthony (Partner & Creative Director, Iperdesign, Inc.) is our main point of contact, though we spoke with everyone, from designers to developers. We’ve worked with 4–5 resources overall.

How did you come to work with Iperdesign, Inc.?

Initially, we put out a creative brief that included who we are as an organization and what we were trying to accomplish with our digital transformation. Out of the six companies we considered within the Philadelphia region, we chose Iperdesign, Inc. based on a referral.

We’ve spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Starting at the beginning of 2019, we launched the first site in March 2019 and the second in May 2019. The final project completed around September 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Part of our scope of work (SOW) stipulated that we needed to have a tight project management schedule, and they certainly kept to that. Not only did they work with our internal product development team, but they also collaborated with our internal engineers. 

How did Iperdesign, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

On our end, we use Jira, but they have a bunch of different tools to coordinate tasks such as handing off assets and looking at various functionalities from a UX/UI perspective. In terms of communication, we’re able to call them up and meet them at our office within a day’s notice.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Compared to larger agencies that we looked at, Iperdesign, Inc. is extremely hands-on in terms of their feedback and editing process. That agility is something I really like about boutique agencies. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

With our online portal, they could’ve spoken more with our end users to get additional ideas for features and functionalities. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?
 
Make sure you have a tight project schedule with them as well as the right software to manage that. We also had a strong creative brief ready for them, which helped ensure that they understood what we were trying to accomplish.

Medical Alert provides alert bracelets and necklaces for senior citizens. I was the company’s former VP of creative marketing.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Iperdesign, Inc.?

We hired them for a few different projects, the first being a branding update. We were looking to introduce some new segmentation brands and attract customer demographics to disrupt the market. Our main target was older females, but we wanted to break into the male and caregiver markets. We ultimately decided to create three distinctive brands under the same umbrella.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Iperdesign helped with the conceptualization, strategy, and look-and-feel of our brands. We also contracted them for e-commerce development since we were growing our business. They developed our online platform and worked on its strategy.  

We had a small marketing department, so we had a collaborative process with Iperdesign and leveraged them to drive some of the forward thinking. We came to the table with a vision, which they helped us hone and grow to determine how our brands could work both together and separately. They were hands-on in determining what we needed on the e-commerce side, providing consultation from an expert standpoint.

What is the team composition?

We interacted with a project manager, the owners of the company, some of the developers, a designer, and a copywriter. I was the creative person for this account, so I was only peripherally involved in the development work.

I’d worked with them previously and had a good experience.

The total cost of their work was close to $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in late-2015 and the engagement continued at least until I left the company in 2017. I plan to engage with them at my new company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The e-commerce site’s launch was a huge push for the business since we’d previously had no ability to sell online. Iperdesign helped us get there quicker and more efficiently than we expected. We reached 30 sales within the first two weeks, which was a big deal for a company that had just launched its website to a less-than-tech-savvy demographic. The company is still using the site that Iperdesign designed and developed, as well as the brands they created.

How did Iperdesign, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They were easy to work with and responsive. Some of the things we worked on went out of scope, but Iperdesign was transparent in those cases. They let us know when additional requests from our side exceeded the budget we discussed initially and then proposed alternatives.

We communicated through email and phone. We had weekly scheduled calls, but we could still get in touch with each other as needed. We had some face-to-face meetings as well since we were both based in Philadelphia.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Working on new brands and developing e-commerce sites for products that hadn’t been listed online were both complicated processes. Iperdesign made everything easy and communicated clearly. We went into the project with a set of expectations. While they were willing to use our approach, they also let us know when something could take more time than expected or when an alternative solution could bring additional, long-term value. They applied innovative thinking to help move the project forward.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There may have been some lag in answering our questions, but not to the point of pushing our project back. The delays only amounted to an extra day.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important for you to be open to Iperdesign’s ideas and concepts. They come to the table with good solutions that you may not have thought of. Since we didn’t know what we were looking for, Iperdesign’s input improved our project significantly.

We selected Iperdesign following an interview arranged by a mutual friend. We met with many different vendors before selecting them.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

In our first meeting with Iperdesign, they discussed the 4 Ds: define, design, develop, and deploy. They executed this plan flawlessly. They started by defining who we are and set forth marketing goals. Once our identity was established, they designed and developed brand assets, a website, and other advertising tools to support that identity. We have spent the past few weeks deploying much of our hard work and have seen immediate returns.

They utilize a team approach that’s spearheaded by two managers who work directly with my office. We have developed a strong working relationship with these individuals and consider them to be a part of our team.

The people at Iperdesign ensured all of our needs and deadlines were met. They’re accessible by phone and email and willing to meet in person at our convenience. This is incredibly valuable in our profession where distractions arise daily.
