Intero Digital was engaged to develop and execute Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising campaigns for our B2B service business targeting licensed master plumbers. The SOW outlined comprehensive deliverables including:

Complete platform strategy development
Advertising account setup and access configuration
Tracking and analytics implementation
Campaign creation and management
Custom ad copy development
A/B split testing
Weekly campaign monitoring and optimization
Remarketing campaign development

What Was Actually Delivered:

Nothing functional. Over 23 days, we received:

Three Failed Strategy Documents - First was for wrong business entirely. Third was 5 days late and still incomplete, missing retargeting entirely.

If being forced to fire your agency after 23 days for material breach of contract counts as a measurable outcome, that's what we achieved.

Bait-and-switch sales tactics, executive no-shows, unauthorized system access after termination, and attempt to rewrite for-cause termination as "mutual." A masterclass in organizational dysfunction at every level. Three strategy attempts, three failures - wrong business, technically incompetent (8 ad sets at $12/day violating Meta requirements), and incomplete despite being 5 days late. Zero functional campaigns delivered in 23 days.  Received $0 in value - terminated for cause before wasting actual money on their incompetence. The only positive ROI was avoiding the disaster their proposed campaigns would have created. Strategy document 5 days late, launch date pushed three times, President of Paid Media no-showed scheduled meeting without notice. 100% failure rate on meeting commitments. I would actively warn other businesses away from Intero Digital to prevent them from experiencing the same waste of time, resources, and breach of trust we endured. The only people I'd recommend them to are competitors I want to see fail.

Their project management was catastrophically poor and demonstrated a pattern of missed deadlines, broken commitments, and unmet responsibilities at every level.

Timeline Performance:

No. They did not deliver items on time.

Strategy Document: Contractually due October 23. First version (October 22) was unusable.

Second version (October 23) was professionally incompetent. Third version delivered October 28 - 5 business days late - and still incomplete despite two prior failures and additional time.

Launch Date: Originally scheduled for November 3, then pushed to November 7, then pushed to November 10. After 23 days, they still hadn't completed basic account setup required to launch any campaigns. We terminated them on October 31 before the third delayed launch date even arrived.

Post-Termination Obligations: In their termination response (October 31), they committed to providing documentation within specific timeframes. As of this writing, they have failed to provide: (1) Meta Support correspondence conducted on our behalf, (2) Complete access activity logs, (3) Written acknowledgment of for-cause termination. 100% failure rate on post-termination commitments.
Responsiveness:

Their responsiveness was superficially adequate but substantively worthless. Marielys and Lindsay responded to emails and attended scheduled meetings, but this is meaningless when the actual work delivered is fundamentally incompetent.

The meetings happened on time. The work did not.

Executive Leadership Accountability:

Daniel, their President of Paid Media, scheduled a meeting with our executive team on October 29. We rearranged multiple critical business commitments to accommodate his requested time. He never appeared. No advance notice. No apology. No explanation. This is the level of professionalism from their executive leadership.

When the person responsible for paid media strategy doesn't honor commitments to attend meetings, it tells you everything about the organization's culture of accountability.

They were remarkably consistent in their failure to respond to our actual needs:

Response: Delivered strategy for wrong business entirely

The fundamental flaw was that Marielys sold to us as "Lead Account Manager who will be leading your strategy," turned out to be primarily a project manager relaying information between us and anonymous analysts. Their project management wasn't just poor - it was actively harmful to our business, wasting 23 critical days during our launch window while delivering nothing functional.

The most impressive aspect of Intero Digital was their remarkable consistency in failing to meet even the most basic professional standards across every dimension of the engagement.

Truly Unique Achievements:

1. Three Attempts, Three Different Failures
It's genuinely impressive to deliver three separate strategy documents in 6 days and have each one fail in a completely different way. Wrong business (October 22), fundamentally incompetent technical approach (October 23), and incomplete despite being 5 days late (October 28). That takes a special kind of organizational dysfunction.

2. The Bait-and-Switch Sales Process
Lindsay's ability to sell us on "experienced campaign management" while knowing she'd be assigning someone who'd only managed $30K monthly (when our plan was $50K+) and who functioned as a project manager rather than hands-on strategist - that's impressively dishonest. The sales-to-delivery disconnect was so severe it felt intentional.

3. Executive-Level Accountability Vacuum
Having your President of Paid Media schedule a meeting, watch us rearrange our schedule to accommodate him, and then simply not show up with zero explanation? That's a level of professional disrespect that's almost artful in its audacity.

4. The "Mutual Termination" Fantasy
After we terminated them for cause with detailed documentation of their failures, their attempt to reframe it as "mutual termination" in their response was breathtakingly shameless. It's like being dumped and immediately claiming you "weren't that into her anyway" - transparent, pathetic, and insulting to everyone's intelligence.

5. Post-Termination Boundary Violations
The most uniquely concerning aspect: accessing our Meta Business Manager accounts without authorization after being explicitly forbidden in a recorded meeting. This transformed their incompetence from merely unprofessional to potentially criminal. That's an achievement of sorts.

What Actually Impressed Me (Genuinely):

The only genuinely impressive thing about Intero Digital is how they maintain a 4+ star rating on multiple platforms despite delivering work this incompetent. That suggests either:

Their other clients have extraordinarily low standards, or
They're very good at managing reviews, or
We happened to get the absolute worst team in their organization
Given our experience with multiple team members (Lindsay, Marielys, Daniel) and consistent failures across all touchpoints, I suspect they're simply better at marketing themselves than delivering actual marketing services for clients.

The Irony:

A digital marketing agency that can't execute competent digital marketing campaigns is impressively ironic. They're proof that being good at SEO for your own site doesn't mean you can actually deliver results for clients.

Final Thought:

If you're looking for a case study in how NOT to run a digital marketing agency - how to overpromise, underdeliver, miss deadlines, assign unqualified staff, ignore client boundaries, and then try to rewrite history when it all falls apart - Intero Digital is genuinely world-class.

That's the only category in which they excel.

The question implies minor adjustments. What Intero Digital needs is fundamental organizational reform. But since you asked:

1. HIRE QUALIFIED PEOPLE FOR CLIENT BUDGETS

Don't assign an account manager who's only managed $30K monthly to a client planning $50K+ spend. This is basic resource allocation. Marielys may be a lovely person, but she was objectively unqualified for our account size. Either hire more experienced people or be honest with clients about your team's actual capabilities.

2. UNDERSTAND THE PLATFORMS YOU CLAIM TO MANAGE

Any Meta advertising professional should understand learning phase requirements. Proposing 8 ad sets at $12/day each when industry minimums are $50-100/day isn't a "strategic disagreement" - it's fundamental incompetence. Before taking client money for Meta advertising, ensure your team can pass Meta Blueprint certification. This is table stakes, not advanced expertise.

3. DELIVER WHAT YOU SELL

If you sell "experienced campaign management," deliver experienced campaign managers, not project managers who relay to anonymous analysts. If you can't provide hands-on expertise, structure your offering and pricing accordingly. The bait-and-switch sales model might close deals, but it destroys client relationships.

4. READ THE MATERIALS CLIENTS PROVIDE

We spent hours in onboarding calls and provided extensive documentation about our business model, target audience, and offer. The first strategy document was for an accounting firm. This suggests either nobody read our materials or nobody cared. Implement a basic QA process where someone checks deliverables against client requirements before sending them.

5. MEET YOUR OWN DEADLINES

Strategy document was 5 days late. Launch date was pushed three times. If you can't meet deadlines, communicate proactively and reset expectations. Being late is unprofessional; being late without communication is disrespectful.

6. EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP SHOULD HONOR COMMITMENTS

When your President of Paid Media schedules a meeting, he should attend it. If something urgent prevents attendance, send advance notice and reschedule. No-showing on clients is inexcusable at any level, catastrophic at the executive level.

7. COMPLETE BASIC DELIVERABLES

If the SOW requires retargeting campaigns, include retargeting campaigns. If it requires audience development, develop audiences. Don't deliver incomplete work and expect clients to accept it. Three attempts at strategy and you never included retargeting - that's not iteration, that's negligence.

8. RESPECT CLIENT SYSTEM BOUNDARIES

After termination, when explicitly forbidden in a recorded meeting, don't access client systems. This isn't a "nice to have" - it's a legal requirement. Implement access control protocols that prevent unauthorized access. Train your team on Computer Fraud and Abuse Act compliance.

9. HONOR POST-TERMINATION COMMITMENTS

10. ACCEPT ACCOUNTABILITY

When you fail this comprehensively, own it. Your "mutual termination" response was cowardly and dishonest. A professional organization would have written: "We acknowledge we failed to meet your expectations and standards. We apologize for wasting your time and resources. We will conduct an internal review to understand how this happened."

Instead, you tried to rewrite history. That's worse than the original failures.

11. IMPLEMENT QUALITY CONTROL

Three strategy documents, three different failure modes. This suggests no internal review process before deliverables go to clients. Implement peer review where a second strategist checks work before client presentation. This is basic professional services practice.

12. MATCH SALES PROMISES TO DELIVERY CAPABILITIES

If you can't deliver experienced Meta campaign management at the budget levels you're accepting, stop selling it. Either build the capability or adjust your positioning. The gap between what Lindsay promised and what your team delivered destroyed any possibility of a successful relationship.

The Core Issue:

None of these are complex improvements. These are fundamental professional practices:

What They Could Have Done Differently:

Everything. They could have done literally everything differently, starting with basic honesty in the sales process about their team's capabilities and ending with professional conduct after termination.

But the single most important thing they could have done differently: Don't take on clients you're not qualified to serve. If you can't deliver competent Meta advertising management for a $50K+ monthly budget, don't tell clients you can. That's not ambition; that's fraud.

Intero Digital was brought on to increase our SEO presence and rank higher for relevant keywords in our industry. They have been able to increase the amount of keywords we have ranked for on the first page of Google which has helped increase our organic web traffic to the website.

We went from 26 first page keywords to a total of 2,600 this past month. Due to increases in SEO rankings our organic traffic has increase tremendously.
