We have been working with Integrated Computer Services, Inc. for almost 20 years   In that time they have helped us develp and maintain our technology requirements.  Most recently they made our transition from a dedictaed server environment to a cloud environment work smoothly with little to no disruption of service.  They have always responded quickly, professionally and efficiently in response to any IT issues that we may have had.  I can't say enough as to the peace of mind workiing with ICS has provided.

What challenge were you trying to address with Integrated Computer Services, Inc.?

Our previous company seemed to be very disruptive to our daily operations. We were looking for higher security than they provided and for friendlier technicians.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Integrated Computer Services, Inc. has executed several large projects, including a VPN switchover, which included these deliverables: architecture design, migration plan, rollback plan, and implementation.

My boss vetted a few different companies locally to our office. We chose Integrated Computer Services, Inc. because their pricing fit our budget, they offered good value for the cost, and they provided military-grade security.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May to June 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We kept a shared spreadsheet to track progress. We measured the improvements in security by how many people had multifactor authentication (MFA) on our previous VPN connection vs. 100% enforcement of MFA on the new VPN connection.

How did Integrated Computer Services, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time. We communicated via email and a messaging app.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I found it impressive that they had a system ready to go and their patience level with some of our employees who took a long time and many phone calls to connect with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only area of improvement would be a shared spreadsheet that's hosted online instead of sharing back and forth via email.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ICS conducted a comprehensive assessment of our aging and outdated infrastructure, took the time to understand our business and requirements, and designed a modernized environment aligned with our long-term goals. Key deliverables included a fully refreshed infrastructure, secure remote-work capabilities, and improved resiliency and security.ICS updated all core components of our infrastructure, including servers, network architecture, firewalls, security tools, backup and disaster-recovery systems, and end-user access. They also implemented secure remote-access and monitoring solutions, modernized our cybersecurity posture, and put scalable systems in place to support growth and long-term reliability.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project resulted in measurable improvements across reliability, security, and productivity, including increased system uptime, faster issue resolution, and a significantly stronger cybersecurity posture. The modernized infrastructure enabled seamless remote work during COVID with no disruption to operations, reduced infrastructure-related incidents, and provided a scalable foundation to support ongoing growth and business continuity.While we didn’t formally benchmark every metric before the project, the results were clear and measurable in practice: system uptime improved to effectively near-continuous availability, infrastructure-related incidents were reduced significantly, and response times for support issues became noticeably faster. Most importantly, productivity increased across the organization due to stable systems and secure remote access, allowing our team to work efficiently without disruption, capabilities that proved critical during COVID and continue to benefit the business today.After ICS modernized our environment, support response times improved by an estimated 50%–70%, and infrastructure-related incidents decreased by roughly 40%–60%, resulting in a noticeably more stable and productive operation.

ICS’ project management was organized, transparent, and highly effective. They communicated clearly, set realistic timelines, and delivered the project on schedule while keeping stakeholders informed throughout each phase, even as they worked through the complexities of modernizing a legacy environment.Our primary forms of communication were in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and emails or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed us most was how ICS took the time to truly understand our business, not just our technology. They translated our goals into a practical, secure, and scalable infrastructure, were proactive rather than reactive, and consistently delivered thoughtful guidance and responsive support that made them feel like a trusted extension of our internal team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Given the scope of modernizing a legacy environment, the project was executed very effectively, and there were no material areas we could point to for improvement. If anything, some phases required careful coordination due to the age of the infrastructure, but ICS managed those challenges well and kept the project moving smoothly. My only regret was that we didn’t hire them sooner.
