I’m the CEO of a company that develops mobile apps, web software, and sites. Anything tech-related, we can handle. We offer custom developments to our consumers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Instazoid Digital Solutions?

We started his business to help small businesses afford custom apps that fuel their next big ideas. Our team needed app development to help to expand our abilities. We worked with them on several app projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our teams work very closely together, so we often bring them into the process from the start. One of our most expensive projects involved their team. We outsource their app development services to take some of the work off of our plates. Often, for projects that are too big for us to handle, we’ll turn to them for help. They typically use React Native, Java, and PHP for our projects. They’re skilled across different tech stacks. 

What is the team composition?

We work with 4–5 of their teammates. There are likely others working in the background as well.

How did you come to work with Instazoid Digital Solutions?

I started a networking group in Houston that meets every Thursday. When I first started my business, I thought there would be tons of other competitors in the area. They were one of the few that I found over the course of an entire year. We connected through the group and decided to collaborate.  

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $140,000–$150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around May 2018, and our collaborations are ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We just concluded our biggest project with them. During our two-month beta testing phase, the 50 users provided very positive feedback. I was proud to say that it was a project that we worked on. It was above the quality that I expected. There weren’t any functionality problems. 

How did Instazoid Digital Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly meetings every Thursday. That makes everything transparent and easy, so both parties know where the project is headed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re kind, ethical people. I care about that in a partner and can’t always find it in this industry. The reason I partnered with them is because of their values. We’re always on the same page. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything is running smoothly in our relationship.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Remain open and transparent upfront. The more they know early on, the less likely we are to have issues down the line. Once we finalize a scope of work, that stands. So, it’s important that we document what we actually want from them.

They coordinated our web designers and programming vendors. They worked through what our goals were and the steps we needed to take. Once they had the information they needed,  they set up contacts.

They also did some work on our website and set up our support documentation, tickets, and CRM.

 They’ve been very good so far. They’re organized and get everything done. I’ve heard from my team that they work well together.

How did Instazoid Digital Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They create biweekly reports and come to our office for 4–5 hours, once a week. They’re also available via web sessions or phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re easy to work with. They’re organized, positive, and get things done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One of the programmers they’ve worked with before let us down a few times. Instazoid Digital Solutions should have followed up a bit sooner. There were some miscommunications, but that has improved. That was the one exception to an overall positive engagement.

Be clear and concise in your objectives. Tell them what you need, and they’ll make it happen.

We reached out to Uzo with a vision for this website and a budget. Over several months, she helped us turn this vision into a reality. Her team developed our website that is essentially platform for small businesses to display their work and get in front of real consumers. Each vendor needed a webpage (almost like social media platform style). They connected the payment platform to the website for a seamless experience from the vendors. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We now have a successful platform for our vendors to connect with local consumers and vice versa.

The timeline did get pushed out further than discussed, but there were many factors that contributed to this. Uzo communicated well every step of the process

The only thing I can think of is providing more detail about what will be recevied when adding on to the existing platform for the cost.
