Every time we have a new project, we usually share our requirements with them, and they come back with a loss of available candidates. Then, we interview them, and in some cases, we give them technical tests like coding assignments. If we believe that they would be a good fit for the role, we hire them.

We usually require developers from Innowise with different technical backgrounds, such as .NET, React, Ruby on Rails, Angular, and Python.

We’ve worked with 3–5 resources from Innowise, including backend developers, frontend developers, and QA specialists.

We got to know each other through references from the industry. Since then, we’ve kept a long-term ongoing communication.

We measure the success of our engagement based on its longevity; the more Innowise’s resources stay engaged in our project, the more successful our partnership is.

How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Innowise’s project management is good; they stay on schedule and deliver on time. We use different project management tools for different projects, including Google Sheets, Jira, and Asana. Additionally, we communicate via email, phone calls, text messages, Google Meet, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Innowise is very reliable, and they have vast technical expertise.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, Innowise is doing a great job, but some of their developers’ English level could be improved.

Hire them — you won’t be disappointed.

For what projects/services did your company hire Innowise Group, and what were your goals?

We are a young startup and have many simultaneous ongoing projects, as well as ambitions for further product development. However, due to the fact that we are a startup, we also have a relatively small team that are already committed to multiple projects.

In 2021, we had an idea for a new product - which is essentially an add-on to Excel that provides you with collaboration and control - which we believe will be extremely beneficial to many sectors and industries. We wanted to start developing it as soon as possible. We began looking for how we could outsource some of this work, and we eventually came across Innowise Group.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Innowise Group were incredibly responsive from the get go. Not only were we impressed with the specialists on their team, all equipped with the skills and know-how we needed to bring this project to fruition, but also how quick turnaround time seemed to be.

We wanted to get to an MVP of a new product relatively quickly so we could test it in the market. Before we began working with the specialists from Innowise Group, we had a website and product mock ups, but hadn't really begun on any of the actual development work.

We had a tight schedule and a fairly technical product, but the team pulled through remarkably, and also established a good rapport with our own engineers and developers. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We arrived at an MVP relatively quickly and subsequent iterations with further improvements and are ready to test it in the market. It has been a very impressive turnaround with a lot of effort involved. We are delighted with how much we have achieved in this time - it has only been 6 months but we have made huge progress.

Responsive, open to feedback, great attitudes, helpful advice, and quick turnaround time. Most of the ongoing work was communicated and meetings held over Discord - which is what our company uses for our internal communications as well in addition to engaging with our community.

They are always very helpful and responsive to our needs.

N.A., we were very happy with our decision to engage Innowise Group.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of a software startup developing compliance management software tools for small and medium-sized businesses.

We hired Innowise to extend our software engineering team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Innowise provided us with software developers to help us build software solutions. They initially provided us with a single developer, but we incorporated more resources as the project progressed. As for the technology stack, we used Vue.js and other Javascript hybrid frameworks.

What is the team composition?

Besides working directly with Innowise’s developers, we also worked with a project manager and a business analyst whenever we needed to discuss business requirements.

How did you come to work with Innowise Group?

We found Innowise on LinkedIn. I reached out to different software engineering providers and collected some offerings. Innowise’s proposal had good pricing, and the contractual terms seemed fair, so we decided to go with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around €250,000 (approximately $270,00 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March 2019–March 2022. We decided to end our collaboration because we wanted to expand our engineering team with in-house resources.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although I would need to ask our CTO for hard metrics, I can say that Innowise worked very well. Whenever we had an issue or something that didn’t work as originally planned, they were always eager to find a constructive and efficient solution.

How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked on an agile software development environment, and issues were expected. However, Innowise’s communication and eagerness to solve those problems were great. Whenever the budget didn’t work out for us, they offered solutions and some kind of compensation.

We used Jira, Asana, and GitHub to manage the project, and we communicated via Google Meet, email, and Slack. Additionally, we used Bitbucket as our repository.

 What did you find most impressive about them?

Innowise demonstrated a great determination to solve problems in our best interests. Overall, we had a very good experience working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no constructive criticism for Innowise. Although we faced some issues over the years of cooperation, those were only typical issues for working with remotely outsourced software engineers.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you have realistic expectations about working with outsourced teams, you will get outstanding results from working with Innowise.

I am one of the lead designers here at OliveX. We work mainly with fitness and wellness brands in the digital space.

We have been creating NFT's avatars for out Fitness Metaverse which is soon to be released. We needed a 3D artist to come on and help us design and create these avatars.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They looked like they had some great 3D artists from their website and we were looking to get someone on quick so they seemed like the best option, for the market price.

After a series of discovery meeting with our partner, we figured we need to create avatars for 5 of their ambassadors. We looked at skin themes and type for each avatar, and went about creating traits for each one. This is so we could then randomise all of these designs through code, and create a set of complete unique avatars.

After finalising all our designs we then went about sticking it into the spreadsheet where we could randomise and have the set to hand to Sandbox. They are now implementing into their game.

In total we have worked with two 3D artists.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At the moment we can only share images and animations of the avatars as they are still being implemented into Sandbox. But we will have a live website where you can then mint these NFT's for your own use.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The 3D artists workflow has been great they have got on with the tasks we have set them. They are asking for work once they have finished their sets tasks. This was done all through slack where they sent me images of their progress or if they had any questions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a great talent of 3D artists who are efficient with their work. They were always asking if the artists were sufficient in the work we were providing them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wouldn't say so, it's been a good experience working with them.

I’m the managing director for a Cloud software provider.

We needed a company that could develop our software platform and mobile apps.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Innowise Group is primarily responsible for our feature development. We’ve been working with them to enhance our software with specific features in the HR business. They’ve also worked on the mobile apps that we’ve introduced to our employees. Aside from that, they do a lot of bug fixing for us.

We would usually define the project and milestones, and they would do the development work. After that, they would come back to us with the results for our approval, after which we would deploy their work.

We’ve worked with a total of 10 different people from Innowise Group, though not all at the same time. We usually work with a team of 3–4 people at the same time.

Innowise Group was already working with our company when I joined them two years ago, so I wasn’t involved in the selection process. However, I believe they were referred to my company when they were looking for software development resources.

We’ve spent between €500,000–€600,000 (Approximately $526,000–$631,000).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2019, and our last project ended in December 2021. We don’t have any ongoing projects at the moment, but we’re still planning on working together again in the future.

Our development heads have provided positive feedback on Innowise Group’s work.

How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Innowise Group has performed well in terms of project management. They’ve consistently delivered on time and according to our standards. Our collaboration has been very fruitful, which is why we still continue to work with them.

They were integrated into our software management tool landscape in Atlassian. We also use Jira as our ticketing system, Confluence for documentation, and BitBucket.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with Innowise Group’s understanding of German laws and regulations. They’ve been able to develop our software in accordance with those rules and regulations without even being part of our German regulation system.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints.

Make sure that you have a good definition of your product’s use case.

We have finished the final development stage of the project within our time scope and we could launch the platform as planned.

The appreciate and value flexible approach and adaptability from Innowise side to adjust to our project management style and use our project management tools to complete the work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Communication, easiness and response time. Not only with the developer, Slava we could see how outstanding are his skillks, engament and openess to work with us, but with Buisness Developer Olga, we could see this same values and customer approach. Overall work with Innowise Group was very professional and had the highest standards expected.

I cannt find any at the moment.

We needed a company that could provide us with web development support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired Innowise Group to develop and implement enhancements to our website, but they ended up rebuilding the entire website instead. They used PHP, Python, WordPress, Javascript, MySQL, and ReactJS for this project.

We continue to use their services on a regular basis on other projects.

How did you come to work with Innowise Group?

Innowise Group contacted us through LinkedIn, but at that time, we were not looking to outsource our development work. But as our workload increased, we decided that we needed help and reached out to them.

The reason why we chose them was that we liked their previous work and their attitude. They were also cheaper than other firms, and we happened to speak the same language, so it was really easy to communicate with them.

Innowise Group has performed very well in terms of project management. They've been very engaged with our business, and they usually deliver on time.

I really appreciate our direct communication. We’ve cut out the middleman, which means that I work directly with Innowise Group’s developers instead of going through a project manager. This makes the whole process more efficient and practical.

Sometimes, there are delays because of our time difference. It’s not necessarily a drawback for us, but rather just an inconvenience.

We tried to choose a company with similar values and understanding of the problem. After a brief conversation with their business development representative and technical lead, the decision was made to select them.

Innowise provided detailed recommendations on the choice of technology and its specialists' assistance for our internal management system. It allows us to keep personal cards of employees, vacations, monitor workload, calculate salaries, etc.

To begin with, the representatives of the company clarified the exact functionality that this system should have, after which we were provided with an estimate of the cost and time that may be required for it. All the time, we were in contact with the account manager and the project manager, who provided information about the project's progress.

For what projects/services did your company hire Innowise Group, and what were your goals?

Innowise Group was hired for developing custom software for our company. We had a lot of moving pieces to our business and thus needed an efficient system to manage all our resources. The Innowise team had developed similar software applications earlier and thus we onboarded them as our technology partner.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We discovered them on Google, reviewed their services, portfolio, past clients, etc. and felt comfortable working with them. They had a flexible engagement model and proven track record in software development.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Their team was supposed to develop software that can help us manage our resources efficiently. For this, we initially sat on a discovery call to map out the features and functions of the software. In the later stage, their team created wireframes, and designs of the software. After a few iterations, we settled on a design that looked minimal and was easy to use. After this, they moved to the second phase - development. Their team built custom modules for features we needed in the software and integrated them all to it. In the last phase, their team tested the application thoroughly to ensure it worked seamlessly as intended. As of now, they are deploying the software on the server.

We worked with a team of software developers, UI/UX designers, copywriters, and a project manager who was leading this project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We got our hands on the beta version of the software and from the looks of it, the software is designed as per our needs. It is simple, intuitive, easy to work with. If our estimate is accurate, we will be able to save more than 40 hours a week with this software.

The project was managed autonomously via JIRA. We communicated mostly through that software itself. Their team submitted their work, we added suggestions, and then they would revise the application accordingly. The cycle repeated. We held weekly meetings to discuss additional details about the project.

We have worked with several agencies. But working with Innowise was the best experience so far. The kind of support we received from their team was remarkable. They treated us like their partners and not one from many ‘clients’. They ensured the project was handled carefully and things were delivered on time. They have been a really good technology partner so far. We expect the same amount of professionalism and dedication from them.

I’m the chief AI officer for a neurophysiological startup. We’re trying to build software solutions for depression detection and depression treatment outcome prediction.

What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?

We needed help to validate some of our hypotheses with machine learning (ML).

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Some members of the team were from our company, and some were from Innowise Group. There were a lot of small tasks, but the whole idea was to have them analyze, detect, and assess the performance of an existing deep learning model.

The team was ready to provide the whole solution, but we decided not to have a big project with them and we utilized their skills to help us. As it was a research project, they wrote Python code and provided the code to us. The code was also used to make conclusions. The team did a presentation with slides that explained the conclusion. After that, they explained the methodology of the research, the results, and why they made the conclusions they made.  In the end, the results of the research were provided to us in a written report.

What is the team composition?

They provided one full-time engineer to help us with our tasks.

How did you come to work with Innowise Group?

Our founder had worked with them previously, so we already had an established connection. We also had several projects with Innowise Group.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership ran from July–November 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provided everything we expected from them, so we were pleased with their work. The information they delivered was valuable for our company and the whole research process. If we need additional expertise in machine learning, we would definitely go back to Innowise Group.

How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We used an agile approach, so we didn’t have strict deadlines. We had one-week sprints and generally, the team met our expectations. The project took more time than expected in the beginning, but it wasn’t because of their performance. It was because we needed to investigate more hypotheses than we initially expected. We used Jira for task management. For communication, we initially used Skype but we switched to Zoom and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had good communication skills, and they were open-minded to any problems and solutions. They tried to look at the problem from our perspective, and they were ready to do everything to help us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d be happy if they had solved the site problems before and came to us with a ready solution. However, I recognized that it was almost impossible because they were a software development company and not a scientific research company. As a result, they could have more specialists available for these types of projects.

You should have a good understanding of your needs. In addition, share your ideas and requirements with Innowise Group in a precise manner.
