We have specific requirements for the resources Innowise Group provides, which change depending on the project we’re utilizing their services for. However, we always request that the developers can communicate in English and have several years of experience. Once we bring on developers from Innowise Group, my in-house team runs the onboarding and project management.

We have discussed our needs with our account manager, Alesia, screened the CVs, interviewed the developers, selected them, tuned their already high Scrum skills (typical for a Scrum Consulting company)

I cannot share any detail on the customer project, covered by a thick NDA. But I can just say that after 6 months we have doubled the number of developers hired

Initially we created a Scrum Team for these developers, then we have mixed them up with the other developers. They became part of the team, with everybody working remotely

Create a Customer satisfaction tracking system based on Python to monitor our customers' feedback. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The system now works great from our side: we get automated customer feedback updates, access to survey data, and visualized data related to project status. We are now able to take instant measures to boost customer satisfaction rates and enhance the overall CX.

We used Jira for task management, Gmail for emails, and Microsoft Teams for calls and meetings. The communication between our technical teams was fast, effective, and smooth.

Working with Innowise Group has been a real pleasure. Their responsive team, project management, development approach, and communication were amazing. With a deep understanding of business processes, they created a custom ready-to-use system with a robust set of features that we needed. Innowise met and exceeded our expectations.

I'm CEO of a company building custom software solutions

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Innowise Group, and what were your goals?

We needed a module for generating drilling profile and dynamic probing charts for our client. This module was almost self contained so we searched for someone external to build it in parallel.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

By chance Innowise approached us just at the right moment. The decision to work with Innowise was easy as they agreed to do a small PoC (around 15 hours or work) for us to evaluate their work. Our risk was this very small.

I didn't want to introduce a new platform just for that module and asked to evaluate Typescript/Nodejs first for generating the charts and produce a PDF. This had already been confirmed in the PoC mini-project. We've set up a simple Kanban workflow in Gitlab where I specified the steps and created test scaffolds when needed. After the spec was ready the developer pulled the task and signalled when it was ready for review. The charts where generated using node-canvas and PDFs were generated with pdf-lib. Key deliverable was a node package with functions that accept the chart data as JSON and return a PDF with the generated charts.

There was one developer working for us and an account/project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We couldn't have produced the module quicker ourselves, even if we had the capacity. We would have lost 3 months without external help. The code delivered was very good from the beginning. We did very few refactorings which were picked up quickly and code quality improved further.

We used Gitlab issues and Telegram groups and Google Meet calls to communicate. Both the developer and the project manager were very responsive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed how good the code quality was right from the beginning. What excited me the most was the little overhead our cooperation incurred. Their frequency and style of communication was to the point and never more then needed, but not less either.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing really! Maybe a SEPA bank account so I can save on some fees.

I am CEO of CoreLedger AG. We provide an infrastructure for blockchain applications.

For a customer Project we needed a software partner capable of using our blockchain-based App template to be used for a notarization project. The goal was not only to get the project built but also to find a reliable permanent partner for future projects with our customers who could do App and Web development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have a couple of potential future sofware development partners in the pipeline while we try to get a suitable pilot project for a first test-run. Innowise convinced with quick and straight-forward communication, no delays in getting the paperwork done, pragmatic approaches and also with their economic prices, which are especially important in a pilot stage.

The project is done in four stages. Three of them relevant for App development and thereby for Innowise. The first task - Stage 2 - was to use our Whitelabel App template and modify/extend it in such a way that it has all the features of the web application that was built in Stage 1 by another software partner. Key deliverable of Stage 2 is the NOTRZR App, available for public download in the Google Play store.

It's based on React Native. The planning is done with Microsoft Team Foundation Services TFS. Innowise first had to overhaul the design according to their UX/UI experience. Then to implement and link with the NOTRZR API. The whole project is based on a huge blockchain architecture and PKI infrastructure. We are currently in the testing phase of Stage 2 and are looking forward to get the App enriched with new and exciting features in Stage 3 and Stage 4.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The App has been built in an amazingly short time of just about 3 weeks and costed just a fraction of an App that is built from scratch. This is partly owed to the fact that the App was already existing as a template and all its backend components were in place, especially a generic multi-purpose Token Economy infrastructure on blockchain. The Innowise team excelled on top of this favorable starting condition and did not only deliver the App but also completed a proof of concept for the App template approach.

Project management is done internally at Innowise. That was important for us, because we don't want to manage the development team directly. Urgent issues are communicated through Microsoft Teams. Once a week we have an alignment call to go through the backlog items and get a status update.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The development team has easily familiarized themselves with our token economy operating system and its components. They have experienced people, seniors in their area of expertise are a big plus in such a project and save a lot of time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have different approaches in time reporting and resource planning, however that is not a big issue.

I am the co-founder and CTO of an event management company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Innowise Group, and what were your goals?

Our event platform needs to integrate with multiple third-party systems, WordPress being one of them. We had already made a minimum viable product type of custom plugin but Innowise helped us to take the plugin to the next level. Our goals were to enable our customers to handle larger amount of events with attached media, better synchronization between our product and WordPress and overall smoother experience.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were initially contacted by Innowise and their sales reps came to visit our office. During the introduction we found that Innowise had broad expertise in the technologies we were utilizing. In the end, we did some peer reviews from the same area and found that both skill levels and pricing was in line with the other companies. The personal touch and dedicated project manager was the deciding thing for us.

Innowise familiarized themselves with the plugin code (PHP, HTML, Javascript) and our API documentation. Then we started creating sprints with prioritized tasks and tested the milestones before creating new production versions.

Our dedicated project manager has always been the main point of contact. We also talk directly with the team leader and with the developers themselves. Usually there is 1-2 developers involved and a designer to create necessary new views.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We upgraded the plugin to function with our new API and added several new features with the help of Innowise. We have managed to close multiple new clients with these new features.

Innowise team is always reachable via Slack and they are very responsive. Even when our own team is busy, they keep on giving updates and checking up if there are any more issues to handle.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The transparency throughout the team is amazing. We can communicate directly with the developers. This way it is easier to make sure everything is going to the right direction and also developers can reach us quickly for checking details etc.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes there has been some language barriers but those were quickly fixed by adding the team leader into the meetings and they then translated the necessary bits in real time to make sure everyone understands what needs to be done. Also, in the beginning we were a bit surprised by the hours spent on tasks but Innowise was quick to allow us access to their ticket system so we have view to a more detailed break down of work done.

we tried to complete the first MVP of this product in 3 months. This goal was very ambitious but it was achieved. And now we want to repeat this mission with others 3 MVP which it will complete all the product suite

We needed manpower and scalability as we saw a strong growth and need for developers. As we are a "small" company we looked for a stable outsourcing partner for general developer needs and we found that in Innowize.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I belive i got contacted on LinkedIn and we started a discussion from that, the deciding factor was their flexibility and willingness to adapt to our needs.

They helped us develop a new platform based on Laravel-stack with a SSR-frontend in Nuxt, so we got both backend and frontend-developers through Innowize as well as a designer. Main technologies used are Typescript and PHP hosted on a microservices/kubernetes platform. We are working with them as an extension of our office, with daily contact.

We've had a total of 3 people workin on the project this far, a backend developer, a frontend developer and one designer. Then i also have a POC/business developer at Innowize that sees to our needs and follows up the work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As we work on multiple projects and functionality is added all the time we have not yet released the product to market, but innowize has for sure helped us keep the project going by delivering their tasks on time and providing great feedback for us.

We communicate daily in a SCRUM-like workflow, with the developer to developer contact. 2 weekly meetings where we discuss outcomes and deadlines. They have been coming with propsals for workflow and what has worked for them in previous projects.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

During the covid-period we had a drop in sales, Innowize were very foreseeing in this and allowed us to quickly scale down the team, even outside the contract requirements, so that was very appreciated by us.

They've shown us that they are into building long-lasting relationships, and now that we are able to scale up again we even got the same persons back on the team, and that will give us a good speed boost as they are already into the project and codebase.

Not that I can think of.

The project is wrapping up now but we’ve decided to engage with them on a web application in the near future.

They got the job done well. The QA work has been outstanding and helped moved the project along. The development has been high quality, too.
