BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Train at Scotland's Premier Marine Training Centre. Courses available for both beginners and experienced skippers. iPowerboat run all courses from RYA Powerboat Level 2, to Advanced Powerboat. Day Skipper to Yachtmaster™ Offshore theory, Sea Survival to VHF radio as well as STCW First Aid are just some of the training courses we offer.

For what projects/services did your company hire Initi Digital, and what were your goals?

We wanted to be able to allow our students to learn remotely in their own time. Initi created our App and our feedback directly from the students has been nothing other than positive.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I knew the vendor, and was trusted.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

It started with a series of meetings, that then lead to a prototype framework for an App. Once we approved this, Initi began to build the App. Communication was great, and as some of the quizzes in the App were technical, Initi constantly forwarded us updates to check.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Rob was our main contact from start to finish. Rob is the business owner.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within a year, we were already at 500 downloads. These downloads came from our direct students.

Easy to communicate with, always quick to respond to messages and requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their problem-solving skills were fantastic. As with any new project, glitches are common. However the speed that these glitches were resolved was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I was a happy customer. I cant really think of much more that I would require.
