I'm the founder and CEO of Koboldo Inc. We're a standard E-Commerce, and we're coming up with a new concept in the retail space with our customers.

We hired Immence to build an E-Commerce platform for our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I work with Immence to help me design and develop the frontend for both the mobile application and the website. I have my design team, and we had already come up with the design and business model before our engagement. I do the techniques with my designer, but I took input from Amit (CEO) on the design; we agreed and started putting it into action.

The website was built from scratch using Springboard and React Javascript technologies. They're in charge of the frontend of a mobile application available on iOS and Android and made in React Native.

What is the team composition?

We work with about four different people from their team, but I interact mainly with Amit, who manages the project for me.

How did you come to work with Immence?

I found them on a freelancer platform. We engaged, and I gave them a brief of what I wanted to be done. We began working with them as freelancers, and now it's more of a collaboration.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent approximately $5,200 on the project.

What is the status of the engagement?

We began working together in December 2022, and the engagement is ongoing — they're a big part of my company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their overall performance has been perfect, and they've met most of my expectations.

How did Immence perform from a project management standpoint?

We set weekly targets, they provide us an EPK, run it, and then give them feedback on our spreadsheet. We also like that they're always available for meetings, distinguishing them from other providers. In addition to that, they stick to the timelines and budgets that we set.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is pretty good, and they take the feedback positively — they tell us up front if something is possible or not, and there’s no ambiguity about the prices they're charging us. They presented us with an estimate that we discussed, and they'd adjust the cost to a mutually amicable position.

Overall, they're a trustworthy partner, and Amit has the right attitude, which is the most important thing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There have been some delays here and there, but I've seen the output consistently. It’ll be great to improve on that, but they don't control the labor turnover.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be honest and transparent with them. If you’re upfront with letting them know their expectations, these guys will work well. Also, let them know when the price, delivery, and quality of work are not right, and they will correct that.

Immence made changes to the recognition category of our mobile app that allows the user to change the student list order from random to alphabetical or to the student assigned seat locations. Immense also made changes to allow the user to change the maximum token value of the recognition award from the set value of 10 to multiple options ranging from 5 to 50. Technologies: Mobile App Development, Android, IOS, Ionic.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Measurable outcomes included: 1) changes to recognition category, 2) pointing server, 3) PWA generation. All work has been completed to our satisfaction and was completed within the expected time frame.

Communication tools are web conferences, Skype, and Trello task cards. First we met with mobile app developer to discuss scope of job, functionality, and timeline. After work is completed, we test and communicate any needed changes.

We hired Immence to help us in developing a software application. We were managing our recruitment process using an Excel file so we hired Immence to help us create an applicant tracking software (ATS) similar to JobDiva.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team is developing an ATS for us. They have prior experience in developing a similar type of software so we've just given them a basic idea of what we needed. From there, they've taken care of everything and have built everything from scratch. They continue to handle the maintenance of our software. In the future, we plan to launch it as a product just like JobDiva.

They've assigned 6–8 people to handle the project, including a project manager, graphic designer, business analyst, two frontend developers, and two backend developers.

How did you come to work with Immence?

We met them through a mutual connection. We were looking for developers and my friend mentioned that they were great. We then reached out to Immence and they sent us their portfolio which was very specific to what we were looking for. In the end, we decided to give them a shot.

Before their CEO established Immence in 2021, they worked for us as a freelancer. During that time, they only had a few developers. When their company was established, we converted the private engagement into a B2B engagement.

We've spent around $180,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in December 2021. We'll continue to work with them until 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've improved our turnaround and have reduced it by three times through the software they've created. To be specific, our turnaround used to be around 25–27 minutes, and we've been able to make it nine minutes.

How did Immence perform from a project management standpoint?

Their performance has been great, and they've never disappointed us in any way. They've always provided us with whatever we wanted. They also have a pretty good project management process. If we have to rate them, we'll give them a 9.5 out of 10 rating. We communicate through Slack and Google Meet.

The Immence team is the best in the market. They have smooth communication skills and impressive business capabilities.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When it comes to software development, they're pretty good. I don't think that there's anything they should have done better.

I engaged Immence to work with me in the design and development of a new mobile application that would connect to a new medical device that we designed to allow doctors and patients to collect and remotely interact on over 18 biometrics derived from the device that we designed. 

The key deliverable was a mobile application that would allow for the patient to take the measurements at home, view the metrics in an easy to understand and use format while allowing the medical practitioner to also view this data in order to work with the patient on their health and wellness goals. 

The secondary deliverable provides integration to an external AI application pulling in the outputted data seamlessly so that the patient has access to this information within one central application. The tertiary deliverable provides seamless access to an external portal where patients can find resources for their health and wellness including forums, food recipes and support.

In actuality I came to depend more on their team as they shown weakness to my internal team members who then were reassigned as not to impact the work that was being put forward by Immence. The working relationship has been the best that I have had working with remote teams. I have direct access to their CEO when needed and all project members. The experience has been one of extreme collaboration.
