Recently, our team had the pleasure of partnering with Imenso Software to develop a web-based application to manage our day-to-day operations in renting and tracking medical equipment. The project was complex, catering to two types of users: reps and administrators. Imenso's development team demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication throughout the entire process.

The application they built handles product SKUs, bookings, dispatches and returns, reports, availability charts, and user management with remarkable efficiency. One of the exceptional features of the project is the communication enhancement module between users through real-time email notifications, which has helped us streamline operations in a great way.

Eventually, they also developed an Android and iOS application for our reps' users, which helped us streamline our complex booking process. They meticulously designed a user-friendly booking form that has significantly simplified our process. What once was a complicated and time-consuming task has now become effortless for our users.

• Outcome: Successful setup of the core system within the 90 days, allowing immediate access and use.

Monthly Rolling Updates:

• Phase 2: Continuous Improvement through Rolling Updates: Following the initial deployment, we adopted a strategy of monthly rolling updates. These updates were designed to incrementally enhance the system, fix any emerging issues, and introduce new features based on user feedback and requirements.
• Outcome: Consistent delivery of updates every month, leading to a more stable and feature-rich system over time.

We follow AzureDevOps for Sprint planning. We created separate projects in our Azure Portal for the projects we ran with Imenso. For each project, we laid out the documentation and scope of work and Imenso team gave us the timeline and estimates.

The way we saw progress was the estimations, costing and if the project is finishing in the given timeline. We had over 80% of success rate with Imenso in terms of timelines.

They did deliver many projects on time such as the custom charts. However, due to various reasons from our end and their end, some of the timelines were mismatched causing delays. Project management was mostly done from our end as we hired resources from their team on monthly cost to cost basis. There was a SPOC from their end who assisted when any issue needed escalation and immediate resolution. 

Their team also worked over time and on weekends to try and deliver key points before our important demos. This extra effort and additional resources at no cost which they added was really appreciated by our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing is that the team members seem happy and content with their company, Imenso. I had chance to personally visit their office where our team resides and it was evident they are very happy and like their job. That really affects their performance. 

It was probably because of this reason they gave their extra hours and worked in off time to complete important and crucial jobs for us as they are committed to hold up the reputation of their company towards the client which is commendable. We liked their dedication, transparency, honesty and sincerity. The CEO Mr Jimmy is also very sincere and was always there if any matter needed his decision.

There are some areas where Imenso can improve:

1. Keeping up with the given timelines. (although it is easier said than done)
2. Keeping more open communication. Sometimes we felt there wasn't enough open communication which caused some issues.
