I had a great experience with my 1st start up product working with Hyper, so it was a no brainer to reach out again years later for my 2nd startup journey. 

We have completed a couple of stages now, and it's been successful beyond expectations so far. Their team feels like your in-house team, and that you are their No 1 client.

They also have a wider support team on hand for any commercial or consulting questions you might have which is invaluable as all startups become a web of technical skills you won't have yourself - but Hyper have you covered.

I'm currently now in the build stage with our in-house devs but planning to retain Hyper in our journey as much as possible b/c they add a lot of value and experience elevating our product to it's full potential. I did an internet search looking for the best app development company in London, many companies came up in the search including Hyper; however, Hyper was highly recommended and appeared to be exactly what I was looking for

The co founders met with Mathew Bould (Matt) who is one of Hyper's representatives. The idea was explored and Hyper collected vital information such as requirements, timescales etc. The project was kick started with a story arc where the entire journey of the project was laid out so the process was extremely transparent. Matt was extremely helpful and accommodating, we were offered some free seminars to help us build the business and the team was always at hand to give support.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager Andrei to oversee the first stage of the project where the focus was on the prototype and validation. A number of deliverables were agreed from the onset and I was always kept updated with the progress of the project which was always on time. After the prototype was delivered, Hyper facilitated a focus group and they provided some resources to ensure the event was a success. The project is now in the scoping and design phase and another project manager, Martin was assigned.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All deliverables were delivered on time to date and team has remained consistent in their approach and the high level of commitment the have shown from the start.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication with the team is seamless and they are very flexible in using different forms of communication to get the job done.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Hyper's knowledge is very impressive both as a company and on an individual level. Hyper is also very organised as the needs of the business were captured from the first few meetings and they dedicate a lot of time to supporting the project

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to get something tangible in front of investors, potential customers and users as quickly as possible while understanding all other crucial areas such as go-to-market strategy, legals and funding implications.

We searched online over a period of weeks before deciding upon Hyper based on their previous experience and great team.

We worked with the Hyper team to brainstorm, map out the concept and had a series of sessions to further define what needed to be done, working backwards from the vision. There were regulalar meetings and real time adjustments and comments could be made on the designs with wireframes, UI design, and branding.

What was the team composition?

We had a great project manager who was the main point of contact throughout the project and brought in other areas of expertise as and when required to complete the work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the project we used the branded, clickable prototype to show potential customers and gather feedback. Within just 1 month of the prototype being showed round we were able to get interest from angels and Vcs, such was the quality of the end result. In many meetings following the prototype I was asked who'd done the work and at what cost and had many comments on how reasonable and great the work was.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was excellent, communication was timely and overall the team were great.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team and leadership are excellent. They have a vast knowledge of the startup space but the most impressive thing is the value add they bring. Continually keeping in touch, constantly being on hand to offer support and guidance even after the build, plus the additional events they put on.

I have very little in the way of areas of improvement, perhaps putting on even more great events/talks.

We are the Co-founders of SLIDE, an app-based startup company making it easier for people to go out to nightclubs and bars. With SLIDE nightlife customers are able to browse events and offers, then access guestlist, tickets and bottle service packages. SLIDE is currently in full development and is set to launch at the end of 2019.

We initially engaged Hyper Apps to discuss our idea and transition into the creation of a prototype for the app. This process was invaluable in refining and building upon our initial concept. Several months later, when we were ready to progress, we then worked with Hyper to carry out the scoping and design phases of the process. This involved going into extreme detail in regards to how the app and software were going to function, and then designing each of the individual screens.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to simply create software that we as founders were confident in taking to market. We knew at a high level what needs our minimum viable product had to fulfill, and then we really utilized Hyper Apps’ expertise to arrive at the best technical solutions for each part of the product.

How did you select this vendor?

By researching the best development companies in Australia, reaching out to a few of them for an initial consultation, and then selecting the one that seemed like the best fit for us. After our initial consultation with a Hyper Apps growth strategist, we knew that they would actually assist us in going from an idea to launching the app.

The prototyping phase involved us working with a team in Romania, where we had regular meetings to review and confirm each part of the prototype before proceeding. This involved starting with the problem we were trying to solve, working through the solution, conducting high-level UX design with wireframes, UI design, and branding.

At the end of this phase, we had a clickable prototype to show potential customers and gather feedback. In the scoping and design phase, we worked directly with the team in Melbourne, where we methodically worked through all the functionalities we wanted in the app and backend software. From here, the team designed the screens by improving the UI from the prototype.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager for both phases who was the main point of contact throughout the project. There were approximately 4-6 other people working behind the scenes that were engaged when their area of expertise was being focused on.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to raise $300-400k AUD (final amount not confirmed as of yet) in order to fully develop the product that Hyper Apps designed with us and launch the business. As stated earlier, the app will be launching late 2019.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was excellent. Communication was never an issue. Hyper Apps was exceptional at listening to us and understanding what we wanted to create.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to actually meet new founders where they are at and work with them based on their current knowledge and capabilities. For us, we started out not knowing anything about app design and development, and by the end of this process, we have now raised capital and are launching a tech company without a tech founder.

There weren’t any areas for improvement that we could find.

IQDIY is a drop shipping service in the UK. The app allows the consumer to purchase goods directly form the retailers, as well as comparing products from various retailers.

I had a business idea and needed to create an app, but executing the idea and creating a prototype of the app was the tricky part, so I went to Hyper Apps team to get help.

They guided me and mentored me from the start to the prototype creation. They helped me with the business strategy, revenue steams, market research, target audience, partnerships, objectives and goals, UI/UX design, wireframes, user flows and the prototype design.

What were your goals for this project?

To have 60000 users signing up on our platform by the end of 2020. By end of 2022/2023 we will be aiming to trade goods to end consumers and going partnerships with manufacturers.

How did you select this vendor?

After we did a comprehensive research online, we shortlisted a few companies, including in India and other countries. We had a call with these individual companies and narrowed it down to two. The final decision we made was to go with the Hyper Apps team because we felt that our vision and the outcome we are looking for matches their portfolio.

Once we selected Hyper Apps, I went to their office in Central London for the second meeting to finalise things and signed the contract. Soon after few days, I had my first meeting with the online team and I was welcomed and introduced to the teams.

After introduction on how the programme is structured out, I received few documents that I had to complete.These documents or workshops were for the business tear down and the business strategy break down. There were series of meetings and workshops as went along with the development of the prototype.

Currently the Hyper team are deigning the UI/UX and soon we will have a complete prototype of the app.

What was the team composition?

Initially I met with the Growth Strategist and a commercial director to discuss the idea and after we agreed to go ahead I was assigned a programme coordinator as a main point of contact, and a delivery manager who would oversee the project. I have also met the designer who is now working on the prototype.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

There has been a good progress since I have been with the Hype Apps team. We are currently in the process of creating the wireframes and soon after, the team will start the interface of the prototype.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The programme coordinator and the rest of the team are really helpful. We have regular meetings to discuss the project step by step and there were several workshops created, which the participants could attend if they needed to know the finance aspect of their project and the marketing strategy.

We communicate via Slack and I receive update as soon as anything has been changed. The designer uses Invision to create the user flow and wireframes where I can leave feedbacks throughout the prototype creation.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed that Hyper Team have managed to raise funds for some entrepreneurs previously. After few weeks of engagement with the team, I was happy that i chose Hyper Apps, as I could feel and see that their guidelines and strategy was just great and I knew that I'm in the right hands. Their approach to app development and ability to bring ideas into reality is impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Initially I thought that things could be a bit faster, but soon realised that in order to create something amazing, you will need time to achieve that. I am pleased with their level of service and If I had to go back, I would again choose Hyper Apps.

I first met Mark Saccoia ( Commercial Strategist ). He introduce me to Andrei Tecsi ( Delivery Manager ), once work commenced I interacted with Andrei, as we continue with development he introduced me to new team members who are skilled in particular areas.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Andrei Tecsi was my main point of contact. Things have been moving forward smoothly, and any hold-ups we’ve had have come from my side because I did not have experience in this field. They helped me to understand what I am doing. We had a weekly meeting during which we’d view a Google spreadsheet to constantly monitor progress. What I love the most about working with them is that they’re genuinely excited about your project and believe in your project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was blown away by their knowledge, passion, understanding, and ability to bring my idea to life. I learned about mobile app development, user experience, optimisation and much more in this. Everyone is 100% committed to the project and excited to work with you. I think there are businesses that could learn from Hyper about customer service, values, business ethics and culture.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can always be done faster, but sometimes takes time to establish a solid foundation, I am very satisfied with the work that we’ve dome so far. In the end, quality, and to build a great product is more important then speed and I ended up with a great prototype. I am incredibly excited for what comes next.

Hyper Apps has produced a prototype for the app. The app looks amazing and has received great feedback from other members of my company. We’re impressed with the quality of work from them. 

How did Hyper Apps perform from a project management standpoint?

The Hyper Apps team is wonderful at product management. They use Slack and InVision to communicate the status of the project. The project manager and the team help you help us along the way and are available 24/7. They respond very quickly, and I’ve never had any problems.

Additionally, they ask for and incorporate our feedback, making changes whenever we need them Whenever we need help with something, they get a teammate on a call with us. They guide us through the journey.

Whenever we need them, they’re available around the clock. They’re well-researched about the work. Hyper Apps thoroughly explains the choices being made on my behalf. They do research to highlight the best possible choices and actions for my business.

The platform allows users to borrow high-end designers items from other users. Providers can monetize their closets while consumers can use these products at a more affordable rate—approximately 10%–25% of the recommended retail price.

I first provided Hyper Apps team information about the app’s primary purpose. After several discussions, the design team provided a few iterations until I was satisfied with the look. They then developed the prototype and sent it to me for feedback and approval. Hyper Apps also helped me develop the branding, a business plan, and a pitch deck for the app as well.
