I’m the project coordinator and spokesperson for AMJ. We organize annual symposiums in Kosovo and worldwide.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hatom?

We had more than 400–500 people participating in our symposiums from various companies, ethnicities, government delegates, and NGOs. We had problems managing the registration and invitation processes, which we did manually.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hatom handled our entire digital presence. They organized our data, gave us statistical insights, created a digital printer, and handled our registration via QR codes. Hatom created a web app with mobile app features from scratch. They created a database that could be used online and offline. They also built mobile apps for Android and iOS.

The team provided a practical idea for the project. For example, if someone from the government was invited to our symposium, they could confirm their attendance. We’d receive an email confirmation, and a registration card would be printed for them. Hatom also created a solution for scanning QR codes.

We were in contact with 12–15 people from Hatom.

How did you come to work with Hatom?

Some friends referred Hatom to me. I checked them out on Google and saw that they were client-friendly, flexible, and willing to meet outside of working hours. I also liked that they had finished all their projects on time. We had a demo installation where we could check things and discuss bugs with them; that practical demo helped us a lot.

We spent less than $10,000.

We worked with Hatom from January–April 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Without Hatom’s help, we would’ve had only 107 participants. With their help, the number of participants increased 4–5 times.

How did Hatom perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very friendly. Hatom assigned a practical person to contact us throughout the project. They adjusted to everything we wanted, and they customized everything for us.

We had more in-person meetings and some Google Meet calls. The frequency of the meetings depended on us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Other companies usually don’t finish projects on time. Hatom was impressive because they finished the project ahead of schedule.

HATOM played a key role in this project by managing and sourcing the whole IT scope, end-to-end. This included intense collaboration during the early ideation phase where HATOM created high quality mockups of the product which were key in securing financing. 

The team was then very professional and efficient, sometimes on very short timelines to iterate through the MVP and versions to create a fantastic web based solutions, super responsive and cutting edge AI enabled. We really appreciated HATOM keeping us real on budgets and expectations throughout the process.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Very clear milestones were set from the start of the project: mockup, mvp 1, mvp 2, soft launch, hard fix 1... Further phases still ongoing. At each of the phases we agreed on what the product should be able to do. The biggest success being to have the platform up and running and soft launch this year in August.

Hatom was super responsive while keeping expectations on budget and deliverables realistic. We had very regular and quality interactions throughout our collaboration. At times, milestones were even shortened thanks to some stars they have on the team!

Their unique ability to combine technical expertise with a strong sense of design was truly remarkable. They didn’t just deliver a functional website—they created an engaging online presence that reflected the essence of our studio’s work.

Hatom’s attention to detail, from the UX to the integration of design elements, showed their dedication to quality. Are there any areas for improvement or something Hatom could have done differently?

While our experience with Hatom was overwhelmingly positive, one area for potential improvement could be increasing their vigilance regarding unique design elements. We've noticed that some companies have adopted designs and structures very similar to what Hatom developed for us.

While we are proud of the work that Hatom has done, ensuring that our design remains distinctive and not easily replicated would help maintain the uniqueness of our brand. Enhanced efforts in protecting and differentiating our design could be beneficial moving forward.

The most mesurable outcome was the substantial amount I have save by using the system and procedures they built for me

It was very much a two way conversation theough which my needs and wants changed. I personally did not have strict deadlines, but they responded and delivered most items promptly.

I was impressed by how they knew exactly what the issues with my old system and procedures were. i suppose they have good experience with such small business owners as myself.

At our meetings things got a bit techie sometimes, so I would have appreciated it if they had dumbed it down for me at the time.
