Our old e-commerce site was built on WooCommerce. We asked Hatch House to carry out a review of the site to pin point issues and help resolve them in order to grow the e-commerce business for us.

The decision was made to move the site to Shopify and to also move our retail stores to the Shopify POS allowing for a seamless selling process.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The transition was incredibly smooth and the team at Hatch House were only a phone call away for the days around the move. We have found the project to be a great success with sales increasing a lot faster than expected and showing no signs of slowing.

Timelines were hit on every aspect. It really felt like the team at Hatch House were working in our offices with us for the weeks leading up to the launch which was incredibly comforting for ourselves. Nothing was an issue and important tasks were prioritised.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their personal touch. At no point did it feel like we were dealing with a 3rd party and the team had great interest in making this work.

Honestly no!

We were trying to unblock and unsuspend a TikTok advertising account. We were having trouble finding someone that could do it for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

HatchHouse Digital has provided PPC services. Initially, they introduced us to some important contacts. Then, they solved our account issue. We didn’t need to give them a brief, we just sent what we needed to do over email.

They’ve offered us more services, but we only use TikTok to run ad campaigns.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were able to maintain impressive ads that led to 1,000 clicks per day because HatchHouse Digital was able to restore our account. Moreover, we added 4,000 users in one month, which was more than we’d ever added before that.

Communication is perfect; we couldn’t ask for anything more. We mostly use email to stay in touch but sometimes we use Google Meet.

We had a specific use case that nobody else could do. We were shocked that HatchHouse Digital delivered because we’d been banging our heads against the wall.

As the subscribers grew we then launched email marketing and more advanced digital marketing strategies were implemented. My goal initially was traffic onto the website & conversions. As this grew our focus is now on brand development. HHD manage all aspects of my digital marketing including my social media profiles.

My online business has grown from zero to a rate where I have had to hire two additional staff to fulfill our online orders. It is still in it's initial year, but we are growing month after month

Super, Very responsive, this is the thing when dealing with smaller agencies. You are dealing with the people at the top of the organisation.

They are my one-stop shop for all my digital marketing needs. They also are very good are giving constructive feedback & suggestions for improving the website, this is all very new to me

The Jesuit Refugee Service, Ireland is a charity organisation that supports asylum seekers and refugees.

The goal of this project was to create a one stop information portal for international protection applicants who are newly arrived in Ireland.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

HatchHouse created a PWA, which can be accessed on multiple devises and in 10 languages.

HatchHouse were patient with us in the development of this complex project and we had a few scoping meetings before mock-ups were created. The development of the PWA took an agile approach while we figured out what would be the best way to present information. Key features added: ->Website ->PWA ->Push notifications ->Language translations ->Interactive checklist.

We worked directly with two team members; the founder and project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launch the app this month and it is being used by newly arrived international protection applicants, the national health service, NGOs and several government departments. It is already changing the experience of arriving in Ireland for many people and enabling to connect with essential services.

The project management style was professional but friendly. The team were highly communicative, organised, flexible and creative.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They cared a lot about the project and understood the impact it would make on many asylum seekers and refugees. Their care shone through in execution of their work. They were willing to put in the time in order to get the best outcome.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing! If we were to embark on another project they would be the people we would call.

Matt had built a relationship with our business development manager because they go to the same gym. We did consider a few other companies, but we found HatchHouse Digital was the best at explaining things in layman’s terms, and was the best overall fit for us.

HatchHouse Digital did exactly what we asked them to do—increase our online presence. We’ve had more cold calls from clients that found us online and like the feel of our website in the past year than ever. The feedback from clients and our teams around the country has been excellent. We have been pleasantly surprised at the results since working with HatchHouse Digital.

They provide weekly updates and finish the work within expected timelines. The team is very responsive. We communicate via phone calls, email, and in-person meetings.

We're a rugby equipment provider, providing everything from clothing, sports equipment, and accessories for rugby in Ireland. I'm the commercial manager, and I look after all the operations.

A lot of our sales come from B2B transactions with organizations. We were looking to drive sales through Google Ads as well as social media, so we hired HatchHouse to create a website for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

HatchHouse built our website on Webflow. We told them our expectations, and their team provided a full plan for six months' worth of social media ads, marketing, and others. At the start of each month, they provided us with the following month's ads, which we would review on demand if necessary. The team also provided us reports as well as plans for the following month.

I worked with three people from HatchHouse in total. Originally, I only worked with Matthew (Founder & Director). When we moved on to the marketing side, I worked with two additional people who looked after our social media campaigns.

A friend who used HatchHouse to set up a website for a few Crossfit gyms recommended their services to me. The reasons I chose them were because of that recommendation and because I was impressed with them after the first couple of meetings.

We worked with them for six months from July–December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measured success directly using online sales, and the metrics we used were pretty much based on how much ROI we were getting, on what we were spending with HatchHouse, and our ad spends. We were happy with what we were getting. Across the six months, we gained six times our previous ROI.  

How did HatchHouse Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

I was really impressed. The HatchHouse team was proactive. The engagement was more of them coming to me with ideas as opposed to me having to chase them. They were moving more to me than me to them.

Their attention to detail on everything was most impressive, and their general knowledge around what they're offering was second to none I would find. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any specific ideas on how they could improve. I was really happy with everything that they offered. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Engage with them. Don't hire them and think that they're going to do everything. Potential customers need to give them as much information as possible for them to work at their best. They need to buy into the partnership if they’re going to start working with the HatchHouse team.

I work for a company that does kitchen manufacturing all over Ireland. We design and manufacture kitchen and wardrobe products, and I work as a designer for the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with HatchHouse Digital?

Our website was out of date, so we needed to have a better online presence. That was our overall goal. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their work involved updating the website. It was an overhaul, and we added a few features. There were a few images that were recycled, but for the most part, the site was pretty much brand new. I had a few options on the layout. I’d tell them what I was looking for and roughly what I was looking to achieve, and they would come back with some viable options. From there, we worked on the development. 

In terms of functionalities, we offer a lot of different designs, so we also needed to have a good way to search around kitchen styles and similar things. There were also some promotional bits on the website, including little brags about our company and the things we've done. We did a little SEO, but it wasn't part of the initial scope.

They were recommended by someone in the company. There were a few people that we were talking to about the website, but HatchHouse had a very comprehensive package, so we hired them.

We partnered with them from August–November 2020. The website is finished, but we’ve been contacting them for some small bits of work.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Overall, our website definitely looks much better. We've got a lot of good feedback from customers, so I know there’s been a definite improvement. The functionality is also much better. HatchHouse found good ways to incorporate the search and promotional functions we wanted. 

We have some analytics and things like that to look back on. However, we haven't had the website up and running for very long to compare on a month-to-month basis. 

How did HatchHouse Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated mostly through emails. There were a lot of file transfers since we needed to take all images over to them. We also used Dropbox and other similar tools. If we needed to do a phone call, we’d do that, but we didn’t have to do any massive group meetings.

A lot of things went on behind the scenes. But as far as making things simple enough and bringing our goals to fruition, they were good. We didn't have to deal with those things — they took care of everything. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their problem-solving skills were the most impressive. I'm not particularly technologically savvy, so it was helpful that I could tell them what I was looking for. When it came to the practical side of putting things together, they were able to figure out what we needed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing immediately comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They should have materials and things ready in one spot. It makes things easier. We had a lot of images, and the HatchHouse team had to go over a few different channels at different times, which could’ve complicated things. We were still waiting on a few things to come during that time. It would’ve been very helpful for us if we had all of our images in one place at one time.

I work for an Educational Charity that specialises in providing courses and activities in Ireland. My position is Manager, overseeing marketing, delivery and execution of the content provided for programmes offered.

The user experience on our website was very poor. Complaints about not finding the course needed, not being able to close a sale quickly, confusing messages, clunky download speed and mobile responsiveness questionable.

We hired HatchHouse Digital for - web overhaul and a massive improvement in UI/UX Design.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted the user experience to be positive: ease of access and location of desired courses, ease of payment processing and access to material only available to those registered via a personal login. That the website would show a far more transparent seemless style that would encourge our clients to commit and book a course.

We wanted to increase loyalty of our clients by giving them login access to exclusive online material and record of the courses they had attended. A more personalised experience.

SOLUTION

How did you select HatchHouse Digital?

We selected HatchHouse because they were very professional, approachable, understood immediately what we were looking for, respectful and supportive of our ethos.

Once we signed our contract with Hatchhouse, they were excellent in communication (always sending updates on time - every Friday), outlining the timeline of the work that they would progress every week, setting goals, outlining specifics of new discoveries and improvements.

There was never any moment that you were not informed and felt that they supported you in what you needed of the project.

What was the team composition?

My main contact was with two people: the founder of the company who was overseeing the project and the Head of Project Management & Marketing Operations who kept me informed weekly.

I was also made aware of Developers working on the back-end and troubleshooting various stages of project development and improving outcome. The size and communication of the team was consistent throughout.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are still at the early stages of the project launch but one thing I have noticed is that all the people involved in my company are very happy with the outcome. They love the open, clean look and feel of the website and the quickness in which you can access the various elements.

Even with the 3 weeks since the launch, we have had a noticeable increase of donations on our site, as it's much easier for people to click and donate. Delighted!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. There were never any hiccups and if there were, they were quickly ironed out and explained.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I loved their approachability. They always answered you very quickly on any queries you had and informed you of their advancements of the project.

I also really liked how they kept you informed of the technicalities and quality control of the development. This was very helpful to know.

Even when there was an unforeseen event that delayed minimally the scheduling of the development of this project. It was no problem really to us. They still offered us a 10% discount on overall cost, even thought we didn't think it any way that it was necessary.

I was very impressed with their professional integrity to be honest.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None. What I am also delighted with is that even though we have finalised our contract with HatchHouse Digital, they are still open to suggestions to tweak various things we - as a company - hadn't foreseen. It's a pleasure to work with them.

I was dealing with one person who was the account manager. It was very helpful because I only needed that one point of contact. I’m not too sure how many people might’ve been working behind the scenes.

They were referred to me by a friend who had worked with them before. I reached out to them and spoke to them about what I wanted to do. They sent over some examples of what they were doing with other businesses.

We invested around €800 (approximately $933 USD).

They started working with us on the website in the summer of 2019, and we were finished pretty quickly after. It took about two to three months.

We’re really happy with the quality of work. There were quite a few different features and content we wanted, and we got all of that loaded. We had some changes that have come up over the last few months with COVID-19 as we have had to change our opening hours and make our restaurant takeaway only. They have been really supportive and made a lot of the changes for us online without any charge. They’re also now going to train me and another manager so that we can use the website ourselves and make simple changes to the website like opening times and menus. 

How did HatchHouse Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was really strong. We were in constant contact, and I found them really easy to brief and work with. I would send over shots of what I wanted, and they understood what we were looking for. They have been extremely flexible with how we work as well which has been really important, particularly in the last few months.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think that they do the research in terms of where your business is. They were able to show me how they would work with a restaurant and or someone in the hospitality industry, and I liked how they altered their approach in that way. They understood our brand, and because they had worked with other restaurants before, they understood the industry. 

Secondly, they are very easy to speak to and hands-on. If you email them or call them, they will get back to you straight away. They are really responsive and strong on the account management side.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not that I can think of. One of the things that I need to work out is changes on the website. I thought we would only have to change things once every few months, but we have had to change it a lot more. They are working with us in a more flexible model, but I don’t think that is something that was an improvement on their side – it was more something we didn’t think we would need initially.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be really direct with what you want. Give them a good brief on your business and what you are trying to achieve. Be really clear with them on what you are looking for but also allow them to be creative in terms of what they can deliver. If things aren’t working, be really open and transparent because they are really open to feedback and also ensuring that they give you the best service.
