I'm Director of Technology at Tie Bar. Tie Bar is a Chicago-based, D2C brand into men's work wear and wedding. Known for high quality, trend-driven men's neck-wear at an accessible price, and expanded into Men's clothing and accessories.

I'm responsible for providing technology leadership and all technology initiatives, engineering and product management. Define the technology strategy and roadmap; hiring and mentoring while directing the daily operations of the tech department, including establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.

To build and maintain custom e-commerce platform and integration services. Primary goal is to have an extended team that delivers right solution that can scale based on project resourcing needs.

Thru Referral. Deep expertise in NetSuite and Enterprise Application integrations. Consultation services in Microsoft technology areas that fulfill all our technology related needs. Deep knowledge and expertise in executing Custom software development. Ability to deliver projects on-time using Agile Scrum methodologies. All in budget friendly.

To build and maintain custom ecommerce platform developed using ASP.NET MVC, C#, ReactJs and EF and .Net Core. To build and maintain custom Middleware using C#, Hangfire, Elasticache using Redis for Netsuite ERP and 3PL Integrations. Also involved in migrating from custom ecommerce platform to headless shopify plus solution. Migrated the custom middleware to Celigo Integrator Platform for Shopify/NetSuiteERP/Newgistics3PL integrations.

Total of 7 includes Technical Project Manager, Technology Lead, Senior Software Engineers and QA Engineers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Re-architecting the custom e-commerce platform yielding 50% infrastructure costs savings by moving from Rackspace to Amazon's Web Services cloud hosting. Technical expertise in NetSuite resulted in better Financial reporting for Stakeholders.

Agile Scrum and used Slack and Jira. Also used Google Docs and Spreadsheets for Documentation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a lot of experience building a custom application. Integration experience with Enterprise applications like NetSuite and 3PL. Expert resources in Microsoft .net and Reactjs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When there is change in resource due to attrition, KT and handling the change could be better.

I'm a CEO and Head of UX. Our company is a dedicated UX studio. We deliver beautiful experiences through deep user research. We design user experiences for mobile, web, desktop apps, etc.

Hamsa Hitech help us to set up a digital presence, building out the websites, mobile apps for the various clients. They help to develop sites, apps thinking about current and future trends. They also created a custom built content management system.

We engaged multiple agencies for proposals. Hamsa Hitech won the bid based on their pricing, their timeline, as well as the details delivered in their proposal.

We work with them on a project by project basis when we need development support. They’ve work on creating websites, mobile apps, and backend services. They serve as our development team without being part of our organization. For specific projects, we start with brainstorming with the team. Then they work on unique pages of the projects. Once, things are final; they develop remaining pages. They also support on customizing some of the pages.

A project manager is our main point of contact throughout the process. There are also 3-5 full stack developers, mobile developers, and a designer working behind the scenes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The websites and mobile apps has been a big hit. Our clients reached their target audience, and business increased significantly.

We have daily stand-ups with their project manager, who communicate with the rest of the team. If there are any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare. We used Slack, Jira, and GitHub to coordinate, and they work well with our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their knowledge of UX Design and their ability to deliver solutions has been impressive. Their expertise makes business sense and ROI for customers. I found their communication most impressive. With our previous company, that was one of the biggest problems with them.

Their ability to communicate and actually execute what they say they’re going to do is great. The most helpful thing I’ve experienced with them is being able to talk and feel out the process with whole team. They’re all working hard to get it done, and that line of communication is the biggest attribute to who they are.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It’s hard to find something that I would want them to improve on. They’ve been really good to me, and I don’t know if it’s because I came from a disastrous experience beforehand, but there’s nothing I can be upset about.

We were designing a customer service mobile application which can have a self service model platform for seamless service.

We were looking for a company that can build a quality product with effective rate, Hamsa Hitech was a perfect partner for it.

We had several workshops together and the Hamsa team created a scope of work based on the wireframes designs which we gave. They divided entire workflow into smaller task flows in sprint fashion, their team was equipped with best skillsets to turn around the entire app quickly.

There were 3 resources, one was a project manager another were developers.

Within 2 months of lauch we saw great download rate in playstore and average review was 4.6, which is incredible.

I think they could also set up some monthly governance meetings for a overall status, but otherwise great effrots and management.
