The vendor developed a wrapper application with a built-in time tracking module that integrates directly with our Odoo system. The scope of work included:

Wrapper Application: A branded, mobile-optimized wrapper for Odoo with secure login and improved usability compared to the default Odoo interface. Time Tracking Module: Clock in/out features, task- and project-based time logging, idle detection, manual adjustment requests with approval workflows, and offline logging with auto-sync. Integration with Odoo: Real-time synchronization of attendance, tasks, and timesheets through Odoo’s API, including error handling and reconciliation for failed syncs. & Reporting: Manager dashboards for monitoring attendance and tasks, timesheet approvals, and exportable reports (CSV, Excel, PDF).

This solution provides employees with a simplified, reliable way to track their time while ensuring all data flows seamlessly into Odoo for HR, payroll, and project reporting.

The project significantly improved how our team tracks time and attendance. Employee adoption increased quickly thanks to the simplified wrapper interface, which reduced login and navigation issues by over 70%. Managers now have real-time visibility into attendance and task logs, cutting approval and reporting time in half. The automated sync with Odoo eliminated manual data entry, reducing payroll errors and reconciliation issues by more than 80%. Overall, the solution streamlined operations, saved administrative hours weekly, and improved data accuracy for payroll and project reporting.
