I’m the CEO and founder of Valid Blocks, a cryptocurrency company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Graffino?

We looked into the ecosystem of the MultiversX blockchain and saw a need for a Multisig interface. It was a great opportunity to bring in a big player into the development world of blockchain Web 3.0.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Graffino provided blockchain development services. A lot of documentation on MultiversX was available, and we had experience in blockchain development, so we initially offered support on that. Graffino looked at the specs, and we went over the product design.

They built the product in React, and we made it open-source; it was all configurable and available at xSafe for anybody to contribute. To interact with the blockchain, the user needed an address and proof that they could access that address. We also saw the need for a solid interface and decided to act on it.

We built an interface for a Multisig wallet that people could share with others. Multisig was the standard for the custody of funds in projects. Transactions could only be performed based on multiple signatures, so they could only be issued if the quorum was reached. If the funds were held in one wallet, and one person had access to it, then it wouldn’t be safe.

We worked with Graffino before on website development and branding services. Based on that, we reached out to them for this project. Graffino already had some exposure to blockchain, and they were happy to help us out.

Our total budget for this project was between €30,000–€50,000 (approximately $32,000–$54,000 USD). 

What is the status of the engagement?

We started this project in June 2022, and they built it in six months. We announced it in November 2022 at the big conference of MultiversX in Paris and launched in February 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before we launched, numerous people contacted us and asked when we were undertaking. The response was very positive; anybody involved in a blockchain project on MultiversX blockchain could benefit from it.

Moreover, the interface was well received, and we got excellent feedback, so our image had a nice boost. We built the product without expecting a return; we didn’t make it to increase our portfolio or monetize it.

How did Graffino perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked together and managed to get it out on time. We were almost ready to deliver it last year, but we decided to wait because the launch in February would give us a better launchpad. After all, we had joined other big projects in MultiversX ecosystems.

Overall, Graffino was great and open with communication. We were mainly in contact through Slack and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This was a new project for Graffino; they considered it a challenge. Although some things needed clarification and more knowledge, they pushed through the project with dedication. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would’ve been awesome if they already had blockchain knowledge and experience because it could’ve helped us finish the product faster. However, it wasn’t possible because they’d just started working on this technology. A future collaboration with Graffino would go a lot smoother and quicker.

I gladly recommend Graffino. People are already interested in working with them on their blockchain projects.

How did Graffino perform from a project management standpoint?

Graffino is very responsive, so we’re very happy with that — we have a very good relationship with them. We communicate via Slack, Zoom, and Asana. Their communication is great despite the fact that they’re based in Romania, and we’re in the US.

Graffino’s flexibility is outstanding. Whenever we need to add more things to the site, they adjust and provide us with the solutions we need. Still, if we need to slow the process down, they’re also very willing to do it. Additionally, they’re very nice to work with and have great frontend development skills, which is exactly what we were looking for.

I’m the founder of a consulting and development company for the logistics industry. On the software and hardware side, we offer solutions to close gaps in the transportation and logistics processes through digitalization.

We wanted to launch a new product in the area of cargo dimensioning. We were looking for an operational system to capture cargo dimensions and load factors for the transport industry.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Graffino has worked on full-stack development, building a web and mobile application from scratch. We initially defined the requirements, and they translated them into a technical solution.

The application has different elements. The mobile app is built on Android and iOS; it’s a process-driven application to capture dimensions, load factors, and documents by warehouse operators or drivers. The app also can integrate third-party measurement devices through wireless connections like Bluetooth.

Additionally, the web solution allows measurement results to be displayed, analyzed, and managed, supplying some algorithms. The data can also be exported in different ways through API or Excel.

Currently, Graffino is doing maintenance work, so they work on the complete end-to-end product life cycle.

We work with around 10 teammates. We have different people for different project phases, including a project manager, a solution designer, mobile, backend, and frontend developers, and QA engineers.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We went live two weeks ago, and now the app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. Before, we tested the solution with a closed group of customers in the logistics industry. The first product is in its 1.0 version, and we’ve started the sales process. 

Overall, the dimensions of a good IT project are that it’s delivered within budget, quality, and time. Graffino has done that, so it’s been an excellent collaboration.

How did Graffino perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been happy with the project management. They’ve applied a Scrum methodology and worked in sprints. We have an overall project manager and a technical lead on the backend of the website and mobile sides.

Moreover, they have good internal communication. We have refinement meetings and regular calls to review sprints through Zoom. Sometimes we also have face-to-face meetings. For project management, we use ClickUp and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We always have access to the machine room. If we want to discuss something specific with the development team, I can access them. When needed, we also have direct access to the managing partners.

Overall, they’ve demonstrated a big can-do attitude. Sometimes we have crazy ideas, but Graffino always finds great solutions.

No, we’re very happy with them.

I’m an executive at a gaming company that connects large-scale influencers, creators, and professional gamers with regular gamers worldwide. Users can go on our website and book time with some of the best players in the world to play alongside them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Graffino?

We originally had another group of developers that built a basic site for us. The website wasn’t working, so we hired Graffino to make it work. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we handed over a 50% finished site, and Graffino took it from there. Our former developers didn’t provide documentation, so Graffino had to work on the site from nothing. 

We spent three months working with Graffino to redo the whole site. They got the booking processes, calendars, and payment processes working. Graffino provided one full stack developer who worked with PHP and a UI developer focused on the frontend. The site is built on Laravel, and the database is in AWS.

On the website, coaches can create a profile page similar to those on social media sites and a calendar of available times. Users can book creators and pay for their time. The profiles have individual private links that show features like booking, tipping, payment processing, and scheduling. Coaches can also go online and show availability for instant bookings. 

Additionally, Graffino offered maintenance and hosting services for us.

We searched for development teams and got a recommendation for an agency. Through this agency, we contracted Graffino.

We launched our website and went from no traffic to having traffic to our site. When the website had bugs, Graffino was available and fixed them.

In order to ensure the success of the company, we have identified an opportunity for improvement in regards to the distribution of responsibilities among the co-founders. Specifically, we have noticed that Nick, one of the co-founders, is currently spending a significant portion of his time on minor tasks, which is detracting from his ability to focus on more strategic, high-level responsibilities as a co-founder.

To address this issue, we believe that it would be beneficial to identify an individual who can take over some of Nick's current responsibilities. This person would ideally have a strong background in the areas where Nick is currently spending a lot of his time, as well as the ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

By finding someone to take on these responsibilities, we believe that Nick will be able to focus more on co-founder responsibilities, such as strategic planning, business development, and fundraising. This will not only benefit the company in the short term by allowing us to capitalize on Nick's expertise and experience but also in the long term by ensuring that the company has the necessary leadership and strategic vision to succeed.

We wanted to create our branding and build our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Graffino provided us with website development, branding, and graphic design services. They designed our logo and other branding material. First, they created the logo, and we decided on the color scheme. Since we didn’t know the direction we wanted to go, we didn’t have specific requirements, so the team came up with 6–7 logo options. We had discussions and a feedback session, plus two more sessions in which they presented more options. After we chose a design, they refined the logo. 

From there, they designed a mock-up of the website. We gave them feedback on the mock-up and requested some changes in a collaborative effort. Then, Graffino implemented the design on the site. We wanted to showcase our products and features on the website. Our requirements included contact forms, newsletter signups, a blog, and a page where users could see our documentation. 

The team built the site from scratch using WordPress, and they helped us structure everything and put the content into place. Graffino created our blog and documentation pages. Additionally, they optimized the website for SEO; we gave them a list of keywords, and they set up backlinking.

We worked together from October 2021–February 2022. Although Graffino finished the project in January, they offered a month of maintenance.

We were very happy with Graffino’s work. We’ve gotten excellent feedback from potential customers, who praise the website’s engagement, color palette, and slick design. The site has only been live for three months, so we don’t have any SEO metrics yet.

The project management experience was very positive. The team was quite good at meeting deadlines, and communication was always very easy with them. We exchanged emails and had weekly meetings where they gave us status updates and answered our questions.

I’m the founder and CEO of swapto GmbH. We provide virtual goods like game items, special skins, and anything that’s related to digital currency to our users via loyalty programs to certain brands or services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Graffino?

We wanted a web application to make our presence known. The app needed to be informative and engaging. It also needed to convey a new message since we are creating a new business that hasn’t been heard of before, so it needed to explain relatively complex topics in easy terms and make the app appealing to people.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Graffino developed our B2B web app from scratch. We gave Graffino the content and they developed the website. They came up with the image of the company on what the design should look like and what we want to express in our icons. We decided on fonts, layouts, colors, and then they started to make a proposal. We worked on Figma so I could constantly monitor what they were doing. 

The app was created so people can contact us and we could have a place so people can learn more about us. We reach out to different service providers that have loyalty systems and game publishers.

The collaboration was a constant exchange. I would make notes and they’d very quickly turn them into a reality. At times, they’d explain why things should be done differently because we’re not UX experts. They also implemented Google Analytics into the site.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were customer-focused, friendly, and delivered quality work. We haven’t received leads from the website yet but we did get positive feedback. People really think it’s well-designed and gives them the information that they need. 

Graffino was super competitive price-wise but overestimated a little bit. They said no to our ideas at times but they explained why. They also provided consultancy which wasn’t part of the contract but it was nice. They gave us a bit more than we expected.

How did Graffino perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Figma and another tool to be able to see the progress of their work. They’d log tickets and we could put comments for them to answer.  We also had some scheduled calls for our particular items.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked their minimalistic and clear design. They had very competitive pricing given their location and provided the right mixture of customer engagement. The website was built nicely and is easily customizable. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I had a review with them and already gave them feedback. They should just keep doing what they’re doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The way they write their emails could come across as being short but it’s because English isn’t their natural language. Just be aware that you’re communicating with someone whose first language isn’t English, but they’re definitely people you can trust.
