Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
GoodYou led the design and development of a new website for Solar Cookers International (SCI). The scope of work included website strategy, information architecture, UX/UI design, content migration and organization, WordPress development, responsive design, accessibility, and integration of key website functionality. Key deliverables included a redesigned website structure and navigation, custom page designs and templates, a mobile-responsive WordPress website, migration and restructuring of existing content, improved presentation of our programs and global impact, and development of pages for resources, publications, advocacy, events, ways to give, and other organizational initiatives.
GoodYou also incorporated accessibility considerations throughout the site, including appropriate color contrast, readable and accessible design elements, support for different languages, and a structure that makes the website easier to navigate for people with different needs. A particularly important part of the project was translating a large amount of existing content into a clearer, more intuitive website structure while maintaining the depth of information needed by our nonprofit’s audiences. GoodYou worked closely with us throughout this process to organize the content and create a website that is modern, accessible, engaging, and easy for our internal team to manage and update.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The project delivered a measurable improvement in the website’s accessibility and inclusivity. A key outcome was achieving WCAG 2.0 conformance, validated through automated scanning and manual testing across all key page templates and interactive elements.
Since launching the new website, we have also seen positive engagement trends, including increased website traffic, longer time spent on the site, and more event registrations tracked through Google Analytics. We have also seen an increase in sign-ups and other visitor interactions, indicating that the new site is not only attracting more visitors but encouraging them to engage more deeply with SCI’s content, programs, and opportunities.
We have also received very positive feedback from donors and supporters, who have commented favorably on the new website and the improved experience.
SCI staff took over content publishing immediately after launch.
Page load times reduced compared to the previous site.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They took the time to understand our organization and specific needs through discovery calls, asking thoughtful and relevant questions rather than making assumptions. This helped ensure that the proposed solutions were appropriate for our goals and audience.
They were accountable throughout the project and communicated clearly about timelines, deliverables, and next steps. When questions or challenges came up, they were proactive in finding solutions and provided us with appropriate options to consider. They were also willing to go the extra mile when needed and consistently followed through on their commitments.
Overall, we found GoodYou to be professional, ethical, dependable, and genuinely invested in the success of the project. They were responsive to feedback, accommodating when our needs evolved, and maintained a collaborative approach that made the entire process easy and enjoyable to work through.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What impressed us most about GoodYou was the combination of technical expertise, thoughtful problem-solving, and genuine commitment to understanding our organization. They didn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach; they took the time to understand our mission, audiences, and specific challenges and then tailored their recommendations accordingly.
We also appreciated how they consistently looked for ways to improve the end result, even beyond the original requirements. They were proactive in identifying potential issues, offered practical solutions and alternatives, and were willing to go the extra mile to make sure things were done well. Their reliability, transparency, and ethical approach also stood out. They felt like a true partner in the project rather than simply a company delivering a website.
Are there any areas for improvement or something GoodYou Marketing could have done differently?
Overall, we were very happy with GoodYou’s work and the outcome of the project. As with any large website project, the timeline sometimes took a little longer than initially expected. This was largely due to the nature of the project and our own evolving decisions and requirements. As we worked through the website, some priorities, content, and design decisions naturally changed, which meant that certain stages took longer than initially anticipated.
GoodYou was very understanding and flexible throughout these changes, responsive to our feedback, and worked with us to accommodate evolving needs while maintaining the quality of the work.
We don’t have any significant concerns or areas for improvement to highlight. The team was professional, flexible, and committed to delivering a high-quality result, and we would be happy to work with them again.
