Art by Bodge was established to sell artisan designs on blank printables as a drop ship company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd, and what were your goals?

Having started with a Wix site, I found that there were lots of limitations to what we were trying to do and the apps we could employ. Shopify became the answer in a new site.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Glowlogix seemed to have the know how at the right price and their timing seemed like it was going to be good.

Shopify allowed a greater scope to the store and my needs became greater as the construction went further. Initially, as in any business construction there was changes in some job descriptions and tasks. In general, Glowlogix reacted reasonably to the changes.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I believe over all 2-4 guys worked on the job over the 6 months.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Measurables are difficult with this as we are still having major problems both with Google and Facebook establishing contactable relationships. We have had very minimal traffic and almost no business 6 weeks post launch.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

GlowLogix project management style is generally one of minimal communication where I would've been happy to have email everyday. This led to misunderstandings being common. There were also initial language and cultural differences right from the outset. I'm not sure the initial brief was ever detailed enough. With this, there was never enough questions asked.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found that the designers felt free to offer creative input before asking if that was good. They also had a way of taking my input to my site as being confrontational. I believe that this came largely from not having the creative in the same room.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They should take better briefs from the start and communicate more with the customer.

I’m the assistant manager at Premier Table Linens. I work in the printing department and work with graphic design.

What challenge were you trying to address with Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd?

We needed custom apps as well as consulting.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The project is basically a document that was about six pages. We split those pages into separate grouping tasks that were made by Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd. Every single project has a different group of tasks in it. We go back and forth with revisions and suggestions. Their work is a mixup between consultancy and development. Because our websites were a really big problem, we need a lot of different custom apps.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is a project manager and there is also a main developer.

How did you come to work with Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd?

I found them on Fiverr. I was basically sold from their reviews but the final decision was made when I sent the same document to every single developer that had the minimum requirements. I asked them to reply if they thought they had the capability to fulfill the custom development of the apps, and that they provide me with a quote, reviews, and any reference they may have.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, it was less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I believe we started in July 2020 and the project is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

So far, the project has been 100% successful. 

How did Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

All of the communication was weekly or daily through Fiverr, but I don’t bother them when we’re close to a deadline. They always meet the deadline perfectly, but if we add anything extra we move it. At least once a week, they reach out to me with an update.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really easy to work with and were very capable of understanding every concept in both a customer and developer way of speaking.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe be faster at things, but so far I’m really happy with what they’re doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a full call before hiring them, that way you’ll see that they’re easy to understand and are capable. Get away from the texting or messaging and at least have a video or phone call.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our invention is similar to a design mat, but it’s designed for 3D objects. It’s a patterned tool that helps create 2D shapes that can be combined and built into 3D objects. We have social media tutorials that show how to use the product. I’m the owner and the president of the company, and we’re selling the product on Shopify, Amazon, and other platforms.

What challenge were you trying to address with Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd?

We had to create a Shopify website after launching a Kickstarter campaign. It was important for us to have an online presence to go along with the campaign.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided them with a logo and instructed them to utilize it in their design processes. They presented me with three distinct site design options. I selected one of them, which started an iterative process. After taking feedback and making adjustments, they would show me their changes on an unpublished URL. That’s how we collaborated and offered feedback. 

The website needed to have three product landing pages, video content, and a project section with detailed descriptions and step-by-step guides that indicate how to use the product. Their team also created a blog for our site. Overall, the design, layout, and color scheme was also chosen by them. After completing the site, they were also willing to add features at very reasonable rates as needed.  

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with Usama (Owner, Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd), but there were likely three others working on our account. 

How did you come to work with Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd?

I’ve worked with Usama in the past during my experience as a freelancer. Given my positive past experiences with him, I was happy to see that he had grown his operations. It seemed like he was best for the job. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $5,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June 2017–March 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I was really happy with their service, engagement, and advice on websites and SEO. With the solution provided, I’ve seen a tremendous boost in international orders. Without the site, I wouldn’t be able to capture those leads. At this point, about half of our orders are international.

The final site is SEO-optimized and is incredibly responsive. It isn’t overloaded with images, and old images were optimized for speed. They explained how images, tags, and other site components play into the process. Their team took a very transparent approach to the partnership, showing us how to be successful.  

How did Glowlogix Pvt. Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

The process was quick because they were always pushing us to move forward. I appreciated that. Everything was more efficient and quick that way. We used Monday to communicate and manage the project. The scope of work was always clear, so we could keep ourselves accountable. Our teams made sure to agree on project plans, collaborating from the start.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciated their swift responses and enthusiasm for completing tasks. They were able to keep the momentum going that moved the project forward. Their responsiveness was key. They often were able to get back to me in 10–15 minutes. I could always count on them to fix problems as they came up. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They might benefit from investing more in their graphic design skills and intuition for niche business models. However, I had a wonderful experience with them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go into this engagement with a clear understanding of your end goal and your company’s competitors’ sites. That will make them much more efficient in their work.

Glowlogix was able to create a Wordpress website that looked and worked exactly how I wanted it. They also were able to add in a fitness tracker to help our clients track their progress. This was exactly what I needed!

Before I had my website I had to rely of referrals and word of mouth to do most of my advertising. Now I actually have a website that I am proud of. It makes me look more professional and has helped me close more sales for sure!
