We're using technology to impact millions of people in our organization, so we needed someone to build our website and do our branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Global Lancers has built our website on WordPress, done the branding of our activities, helped us with infographics, and made our iOS and Android app — they've designed and developed everything from scratch. We told them our goals, and they implemented them. We also gave them our requirements and worked with them to define them better.

We work with a project manager, software designers, UX designers, and other team members.

They were referred to us by someone who knew about their work.

We started working together in January 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've increased engagement with customers now, and we can make it scalable. Additionally, our app was reviewed by a third-party architect, and it came through very well.

Project management is one of their strengths; they not only do their work but they keep us informed if there’s a delay on the user side.

They have the ability to understand our needs and translate them into usable specs.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on — they’re continuously learning and deploying newer technologies, so their services continue to get better.

What challenge were you trying to address with Global lancers?

I wanted to make sure my project management was smooth. As a result, I needed a trustworthy and reliable vendor who could offer us a fairly comprehensive range of services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a platform for us and helped us with digital services. We also mapped the digital transformation together. Once we brought our ideas to them, they competently captured, mapped, and translated them into a delivery model. 

In the end, they built a very dynamic website that can have a lot of users and have e-commerce features. They built a sleek native mobile app that enables us to reach out to our customers and stakeholders. They also maintain our digital assets, and they bring in some expertise and resources for our digital marketing, video, graphics, infographics, and UI/UX needs. 

Their entire technology stack includes WordPress, MongoDB, API integration, and Stripe payment gateway integration. They’re pushing things in the app store, and they create entire modules for the app. In addition, they perform cloud integration using Amazon Cloud, and they deal with a bunch of graphics software, too. Overall, a lot of the projects are ongoing, and we're looking at a long-term relationship with them.

Global lancers came from a well-known engineering college that had alumni all over the world. One of the alum members was very accomplished and well-known in the San Francisco Bay area. We liked that they were a young team, and they were innovative. I gave them some small tasks to test their skills, and we were impressed with their speed. Since then, we continued to give them more work.

We started working together in April 2020, and we continue to collaborate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve launched a very savvy newsletter for us, and the marketing automation they’ve completed is a good benchmark of their performance. Our stakeholders have also complimented our website's frontend.

We like that Global lancers is a very driven enterprise, and they're diligent and trustworthy. We're very satisfied with their delivery, the way they map their work, and their process. Our operations was hardly affected by the pandemic because of the processes we worked with them.

How did Global lancers perform from a project management standpoint?

They have one person dedicated to project management, and they always show up. We use Slack and Jira, and we have a shareable Drive. We can track their performance, and they’re pretty proactive in creating templates that are trackable.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very agile, young, and ingenious.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can map a few of the things better and engage the customer. It’s a two-way street though because the mapping happens when the customer also interfaces with them. Overall, Global lancers can be more proactive in getting more input from the customer.
