BACKGROUND

Could you briefly describe your company?

I work for EverBank. It's a banking and financial services organization. 

What is your position?

I'm the IT manager at EverBank.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Could you describe the business challenge(s) you were attempting to address when you initiated the relationship with Global Infonet?

It was the implementation of a new content management system, which was Sitecore, and also redesigning our site to be more dynamic and interactive. 

What was the rationale behind selecting Sitecore as your preferred solution as opposed to some of its competitor solutions?

We selected Sitecore because of its capacity for a wide range of customizations, and the fact that it was run on the .NET framework. We had partial expertise with .NET, so it made sense to go with Sitecore. 

SOLUTION

How did you select Global Infonet as your solution partner?

There were several in-person interviews in which they demonstrated their developement capabilities. They’re based in Jacksonville as well, so it was a face-to-face discovery. We definitely wanted a partner that would be accessible. 

Could you describe the scope of this project? For example, did it involve custom visual design, backend development, training, support, etc.?

The implementation involved all of those components. They took us from strategic conception to deployment and module customization. They handled all of the backend work under our supervision and also dealt with all of the testing procedures prior to going live. 

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in monetary terms?

The project cost several million dollars from beginning to end. 

When was the project completed?

March of 2013.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

In terms of results, could you share any statistics, metrics, or user feedback that would demonstrate the effectiveness of the work they've delivered?

The whole thing has been highly successful. It’s hard to provide metrics or figures, because we went from one CMS to another without much evaluation in between. We went from flat files to a CMS. We now have the content in thousands of different data items that were previously managed through flat files. It’s much more manageable, and the end-users can publish content without having to go through IT. The entire process is more convenient and fluid now. 

When working with Global Infonet, is there anything you would consider unique or special about them compared to other vendors you’ve worked with?

They’re much more thorough than a lot of other vendors we've worked with. They take a meticulous and comprehensive approach to implementation. We spent considerable time evaluating and reviewing our goals and process before we started the implementation cycle. 

In retrospect, are there areas that you think they could improve upon, or are there things you'd do differently as the client before approaching this type of project?

No. They've done a fantastic job. We've been consistently impressed. 

Do you remain confident that the Sitecore CMS will continue to meet your business needs into the foreseeable future?

Absolutely. Sitecore was definitely the right decision for us.
