We engaged GIS-Point to design and develop EagleEye — a full-cycle, multi-role web GIS platform built for government and municipal use, enabling street-level spatial exploration, infrastructure layer analysis, and geospatial data management for both technical and non-technical users. GIS-Point delivered an end-to-end solution covering: an interactive main map with a dual-list layer panel (Active and Library), per-layer opacity and visibility controls, data grid inspection, and basemap switching between default and satellite views; a panorama module with road navigation, info spot interaction, and a synchronized split-screen mini-map; a point cloud viewer for reviewing 3D spatial data; and a measurement toolkit with circle, line, and polygon tools. The Admin Panel covered full lifecycle management of users and roles, GIS layers and layer groups, info spots (with WFS/XLSX/CSV data mapping and custom icon templates), basemaps (2D and 3D), basemap groups, SMTP and AWS configuration, platform branding (logo, colors, localization), and an FAQ module. A street data pipeline was also delivered, supporting KML, WFS, and SHP ingestion with attribute mapping and automated processing. The platform supports three distinct user tiers — Admin, Registered User, and Unregistered Visitor — each with tailored feature access.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

GIS-Point delivered all core platform modules on schedule, resulting in a fully operational geospatial intelligence platform actively used by our team for urban infrastructure monitoring and street-level spatial analysis. The panorama navigation module and point cloud viewer were integrated seamlessly into the main map experience, enabling workflows that previously required separate desktop GIS tools. The Admin Panel gave our team full autonomy over platform configuration — from user role management to basemap setup and data ingestion pipelines — eliminating ongoing developer dependency. The platform's three-tier access model (Admin, Registered User, Unregistered Visitor) was validated through structured QA and is functioning reliably in production.

Project management was disciplined and transparent throughout the engagement. GIS-Point worked in structured iterations with clearly defined milestones, keeping us informed at every stage. In a single platform, they unified street-level panorama navigation, point cloud visualization, multi-source data ingestion, and a fully self-service Admin Panel — all within a coherent, permission-driven user experience. What stood out most was their ability to translate complex geospatial workflows into interfaces that non-specialist users can operate confidently. The info spot data mapping pipeline in particular — supporting multiple source formats and custom icon templates — saved our team significant manual configuration effort after launch.

Are there any areas for improvement or something GIS-point could have done differently?

A more formalized onboarding session for the Admin Panel at the point of handover would have helped our internal team get up to speed faster, given the breadth of configuration options available. This is a minor process note rather than a technical concern — the documentation provided was solid, and the team was always available to clarify. Overall, the collaboration was smooth and the outcomes were exactly what we needed.

We engaged GIS-Point to design and develop a full-cycle, web-based Site Suitability Analysis Platform tailored for urban planners, real estate analysts, and environmental specialists in Saudi Arabia.

GIS-Point delivered an end-to-end solution: from requirements workshops and UX design to a production-ready platform with a dynamic hexagon-based spatial visualization engine. The system calculates and displays suitability scores per hexagon cell based on user-selected decision models, with adaptive zoom resolution for performance at scale.

Key deliverables included: a multi-criteria spatial analytics engine with weighted overlay logic; toggleable data layers covering transportation, infrastructure, and environmental zones; a comprehensive Admin CMS for model creation, layer management, user roles, access control, and white-label branding; and a multi-tenant architecture supporting isolated organizational environments. The backend was built on .NET Core with ABP Framework, the frontend on Angular, with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and AWS (EC2, S3) underpinning the infrastructure.

The project is in the final stabilization and pre-launch stage.

The platform significantly reduced the time and specialist expertise required for spatial analysis workflows, making GIS-level decision-making accessible to non-technical planners. The system successfully handles the rendering of thousands of scored hexagons with smooth performance, and the multi-tenant architecture supports isolated organizational environments with no data leakage. The solution is actively used by government bodies and private developers to drive data-driven site evaluation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have weekly updates and meet the acceptance criteria. For example, the public map URL loads without login, with working layers, legends, pop-ups, and scale bars. The organization-only map rejects anonymous requests and loads after login. Switching the base map doesn't affect layer rendering, and the full extent sets to the map's initial view. The viewer passes responsiveness checks and meets the agreed-upon TTI.

How did GIS-point perform from a project management standpoint?

GIS-point delivers fairly on time. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by GIS-point's professionalism and attitude, knowing they're working during a war.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We're both non-native English speakers, which makes communication a bit hard sometimes. However, there's nothing they can improve on.
