We’ve seen continuous growth in our SEO results. We've seen results only in Serbian because that's our website's language. The website has great speed and UX. We’re also ranking for a lot of keywords and have seen a continued growth of organic traffic. We've stopped our email marketing campaigns because they weren't successful.

Give them honest and constant feedback. Whenever we've had struggles during the project, it’s been because of the lack of feedback. Be connected with them and proactive. The team is consistently available and sends emails to check if everything is good. Communication is the most important thing.

Ginger IT Solutions has delivered a modern website optimized for AI search platforms. We’ve gone from having 166 pages on the old website to 242 pages on the new one. The old content has been refactored and reclassified into different categories for better understanding and accessibility. Within the first month of the new website’s release, we saw new keywords popping up that were previously not present on any search engine. The SEO refactoring has shown a noticeable uptick.

Ginger IT Solutions’ project management is very good. The team delivers on time and stays on budget. The communication is excellent, quick, and effective. The team is very responsive to feedback and understands the current issues I have. I’m always informed about the schedule and timeline. We communicate through phone calls and video conferencing.

Ginger IT Solutions is very good. After our first meeting, the team knew exactly what we needed. The team has great experience in the industry, and the whole website shows it. I’m the CEO of Mikroparfem, a perfume company. We have a huge collection of perfumes and are influencers. We share our collection with our followers through decants of perfumes. We put the perfumes into smaller bottles with our design and sell them through our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ginger IT Solutions has designed and developed our website. We wanted something easy for our customers to use. People in Serbia aren't used to buying online, so we've had to work through a lot of challenges to make the website easy and practical to use. We also wanted it to contain all the information it was supposed to include while being aesthetically pleasing.

We've taken a minimalist direction to create a website where customers can feel safe while buying. We're very open and transparent. Customers can choose whatever perfume they want and purchase it. We only offer pay on delivery, so the website doesn't support credit card payments.

The user can see our brand description in one sentence on the first page. Then they can scroll, see a picture of me and my husband as the founders, as if we were talking to them. We have a best-seller section where we recommend some perfumes to buy. In the footer, there is just some regular information.

There are product pages with women's, men's, and unisex sections. We also have an "About us" page. The team is creating and writing a blog for us. Customers choose the perfume and size, type in shipping information, and pay on delivery. Ginger IT Solutions has included post office information so users can calculate shipping prices.

We've provided Ginger IT Solutions with documentation and an example of a startup website we wanted to be similar to. The team has also provided content writing services. The website is built on WordPress. Ginger IT Solutions also provides maintenance services.

Some of the products they’ve developed are live, while others are still in the design and development stages, and everything is going great. 

We also take into account the smooth usage of the platform by our users and our growth. The latter is why we've chosen to expand our engagement with Ginger IT Solutions. The team has been awesome; they’re the best company we’ve ever dealt with. We plan to engage Ginger IT Solutions for all our design, development, and marketing needs.

I was very happy with the outcome of our project. A couple of patients approached us to ask who created and designed the website. The local directors of another clinic also contacted us because they liked the clean and modern look of our site. We gained more notice in the area, not only from patients and clients but also from our competition.

As soon as we launched the website, the traffic increased significantly. We launched the site two months ago because we were a new business and had to wait for regulatory approvals and inspection to launch the company. The numbers were increasing exponentially from month to month.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ginger IT Solutions?

We were looking for a team to work on website development projects for our end clients. We developed the site's designs and needed a partner for implementation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Generally, during the design phase of each project, we share design files with Ginger IT Solutions. The team reviews our design files for a couple of days and returns with an estimated time and cost for development. We work with Ginger IT Solutions throughout the development process. Generally, our initial requirements and designs expand or change during the project as we present reviews to the end clients. 

Most of our sites use WordPress as the backend CMS and are based on PHP, which is generally hosted on a Linux server. We've also worked on projects that use JavaScript frontends, and Next.js is a specific technology that we've used, too. Overall, Ginger IT Solutions does most work in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS stylesheets, and Sass. The team also uses a build tool to compile all the JavaScript assets.

What is the team composition?

Our communication is with two primary teammates from Ginger IT Solutions: the head of project management and the head of development. We usually work with a developer too, although we don't interact directly with them. At any given project, we work with around three teammates. 

How did you come to work with Ginger IT Solutions?

I met Ginger IT Solutions through a teammate I worked with when he was with a different company. He let me know he had left that firm to start his own company, and I wanted to continue the relationship with him. I contacted Ginger IT Solutions to get an estimate the next time we had a big project that seemed to be bigger than our team could handle. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around $20,000–$30,000 per project. Overall, we've spent around $200,000–$250,000 with Ginger IT Solutions since we've worked together.

We started working with Ginger IT Solutions in the middle of 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're currently closing a project for an end client in the real estate industry. Initially, the client told us they didn't have a big budget, so we decided to use an off-the-shelf software. However, this tool wasn't customizable to fit the end client's needs, so we called Ginger IT Solutions and told them we had a small budget to do customization work but had a huge need.

Moreover, the tool's developer took our customization requirements and told us the tool couldn't be used that way. When we brought Ginger IT Solutions, the team said it would be tough but thought they could do it. The team was able to appease, so I can't think of a bigger praise for them than the fact that they delivered an inexpensive solution to serve a very prestigious client. 

Ginger IT Solutions was willing to take on this project even when the tool's maker didn't think it could be done. Our end client knew we had a good development team and was even more excited after this project. 

How did Ginger IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a lot of ongoing correspondence with Ginger IT Solutions throughout each project to follow up on tasks completion they had previously been assigned and to discuss changes in scope priorities or timelines that arise. The development process is super smooth when end clients don't request changes. Usually, we're the ones that have restricting deadlines, and Ginger IT Solutions still delivers on time.  

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to highlight Tomislav (Chief Sales Officer) and Stevan's (CTO) work. Stevan has been amazing, and we've worked on several projects with him. He serves as the head of technology and also rolls up his sleeves to do work. 

The team is based in Serbia, and their time zone is around six hours ahead of mine. Still, Stevan is available for us throughout the day, which means he works late hours in his time zone. I've reached out to Stevan with an emergency at 5 p.m. in my time zone, which is probably 11 or 12 p.m. in his, and he has responded. It's super comfortable to work with a teammate who is willing to help since I don't usually get that kind of responsiveness when working with an offshore team. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ginger IT Solutions questions our decisions and offers suggestions when we need help to solve problems we didn't anticipate. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is nothing about Ginger IT Solutions' current approach or delivery that I'd ask to be improved. Still, if they could expand their bandwidth down the road, it would be wonderful to use them for multiple projects simultaneously. We keep Ginger IT Solutions busy, and although they've never failed to meet our needs, our company's needs keep increasing as we continue to succeed. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

A lot of firms think it's their responsibility to define requirements on their end when searching for an outsourced partner, throw work over the wall to the developers, and expect them to deliver code. However, usually, the end client's requirements change during the course of the project, so what you want isn't just a robot that is going to do exactly what you tell it to do; you want a team that offers insight and has a strategic mind about what the best solution might be. 

My advice is not to treat Ginger IT Solutions as a robot but as a strategic partner and to engage with them early on at the strategic and development levels.

DK: Ginger IT Solutions has completed our website and continues to offer web maintenance services and support in additional tasks we request. For the branding, we initially gave the team our company name and vision.
SE: The team presented branding options based on our vision. We chose an option, and Ginger IT Solutions proceeded with designing our logo and other materials, requesting our approval.

SE: We launched our website a couple of days ago, and we've already sold our products.
DK: Our web visits are in the thousands, and we've sold hundreds of perfumes.

SE: We're a small company, and these are significant amounts for us and our market. We were looking to work with a team we could rely on, and we've found a partner for life and other businesses in Ginger IT Solutions. We've already recommended the team to colleagues who are about to open their business because the team is a loyal partner we can count on at any time of the day. During the branding process, we approved the majority of designs presented by the team in the first round, and we're a picky team. Ginger IT Solutions has understood our vision and what we wanted.

DK: Ginger IT Solutions meets deadlines.
SE: Our perfume manufacturing took much longer than anticipated, delaying our deadlines. However, the team delivers work ahead of our deadlines and is always on time.
DK: We communicate via email and phone calls.

SE: Our business has just opened, and we request several immediate changes to Ginger IT Solutions. The team is hands-on and available at all times, especially in this initial phase.
DK: For instance, yesterday, we had a situation where we clicked something we shouldn't have in the website's admin section. We called Ginger IT Solutions at 11 p.m., and they resolved the problem in the middle of the night.

DK: The only improvement area I can think of for Ginger IT Solutions is to expand their team, although I'm aware this is difficult to do.
SE: Ginger IT Solutions is picky with their team because they work with absolute professionals.

SE: Be clear and specific about your vision and idea. If you provide specific ideas to the team, they can make a great design. You'll probably be dissatisfied if you aren't sure what you want and expect the team to do all the work. I suggest providing thorough explanations to Ginger IT Solutions.
DK: Communicate with the team and be open-minded about their ideas.
