Ginger IT Solutions

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

David Koprenovic: I'm the co-founder and chief sales officer of a startup company.
Sara Erceg: I'm the CEO and co-founder of our company. We're a perfume business that manufactures perfumes in France and imports them to Serbia. We mostly sell our products online, so our website is very important for our company, serving basically as our showroom.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Ginger IT Solutions?

DK: We needed an IT services provider for our business. The team has also supported us with brand strategy and web design and development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SE: Ginger IT Solutions has designed and developed our website and online store on WordPress. The team has also been involved in other areas of our company, including product branding, corporate identity, technical SEO, on-site optimization, mobile optimization, brand strategy, and brand messaging. The team is also helping us with marketing.

DK: Ginger IT Solutions has completed our website and continues to offer web maintenance services and support in additional tasks we request. For the branding, we initially gave the team our company name and vision.
SE: The team presented branding options based on our vision. We chose an option, and Ginger IT Solutions proceeded with designing our logo and other materials, requesting our approval.

What is the team composition?

DK: We've worked with 7–8 teammates from Ginger IT Solutions, including a project manager, a tech lead, a branding specialist, and a web designer.
SE: We've also worked with a marketing director, an SEO specialist, a frontend developer, and a backend developer.

How did you come to work with Ginger IT Solutions?

DK: I met teammates from Ginger IT Solutions while working at another business. They then founded Ginger IT Solutions, and I contacted them.
How much have you invested with them?

SE: We've spent around $50,000–$100,000.
DK: We initially paid the team $50,000 but then had additional charges that we agreed on.

What is the status of this engagement?

DK: We started working with Ginger IT Solutions in October 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SE: We launched our website a couple of days ago, and we've already sold our products.
DK: Our web visits are in the thousands, and we've sold hundreds of perfumes.

SE: We're a small company, and these are significant amounts for us and our market. We were looking to work with a team we could rely on, and we've found a partner for life and other businesses in Ginger IT Solutions. We've already recommended the team to colleagues who are about to open their business because the team is a loyal partner we can count on at any time of the day. During the branding process, we approved the majority of designs presented by the team in the first round, and we're a picky team. Ginger IT Solutions has understood our vision and what we wanted.

How did Ginger IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

DK: Ginger IT Solutions meets deadlines.
SE: Our perfume manufacturing took much longer than anticipated, delaying our deadlines. However, the team delivers work ahead of our deadlines and is always on time.
DK: We communicate via email and phone calls.

SE: Our business has just opened, and we request several immediate changes to Ginger IT Solutions. The team is hands-on and available at all times, especially in this initial phase.
DK: For instance, yesterday, we had a situation where we clicked something we shouldn't have in the website's admin section. We called Ginger IT Solutions at 11 p.m., and they resolved the problem in the middle of the night.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

SE: We've had the greatest communication with Tomislav (Chief Sales Officer), Srdjan (Founder & CEO), and Sonja (Co-Founder & CMO).

What did you find most impressive about them?

SE: The Ginger IT Solutions team works amazingly together and complements each other. Every teammate is an expert in what they do and their department. The overall team is very strong and effective.

Are there any areas they could improve?

DK: The only improvement area I can think of for Ginger IT Solutions is to expand their team, although I'm aware this is difficult to do.
SE: Ginger IT Solutions is picky with their team because they work with absolute professionals.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

SE: Be clear and specific about your vision and idea. If you provide specific ideas to the team, they can make a great design. You'll probably be dissatisfied if you aren't sure what you want and expect the team to do all the work. I suggest providing thorough explanations to Ginger IT Solutions.
DK: Communicate with the team and be open-minded about their ideas.
