At the outset, the team collaborated closely with us to understand and refine the product vision, translating business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications. Their behavior is highly unprofessional, and they have not honored the agreements we signed.

I’m a partner at Find my seva, a service provider company. We offer services such as plumbing, construction, and carpentry. Our platform also features a directory where customers can find different vendors in their area. This service is new in India, and we currently operate in Goa and Bangalore.

What challenge were you trying to address with GeekyAnts?

We needed help developing our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

GeekyAnts provided end-to-end web design and development services for our platform. We initially had an HTML page and a sample created by another service provider. They built a more detailed and functional website based on what we already had.

The team designed the platform to be user-friendly. Users can sign in as customers or vendors. As a customer, I can input my location and the service I’m looking for. For example, if I’m looking for a plumber, the platform identifies vendors or traders around me. I can then reach out to them, get a quote, and have them come and do the plumbing work.

On the vendor side, I can create a profile and choose from different subscription plans. If I take a higher subscription, I can upload a video about the services I provide. Additionally, once a vendor registers, they get added to the directory, and customers can reach out to any preferred vendor at any point.

For tools and technologies, we used Figma and Adobe.

What is the team composition?

We initially spoke with a member of their business development team. Once we finalized our requirements, they brought in the web development team. We worked with around five people, including two individuals who helped us with the initial design, colors, icons, and logo.

How did you come to work with GeekyAnts?

I found them through a Google search. We reached out to multiple service providers, but when we spoke to them, we were confident they could deliver.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a total of 600,000 Indian rupees.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from June 2023–March 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t reached out to the market yet, so it’s too early to talk about metrics. However, the few people who have used the website say it’s user-friendly and easy to navigate. We’ve also implemented videos to make it easier for users to access information.

How did GeekyAnts perform from a project management standpoint?

The team was professional regarding project management. We were in touch with the individual working with us, and they shared the entire plan with us. They explained what would be covered in the first phase, what features would be implemented, and the timeline they were looking at. They delivered on time and didn’t have any delays.

We communicated via phone calls and Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

GeekyAnts' overall professionalism impressed us. They had a dedicated business development lead who was in constant touch with us. Whenever we had an issue, they reached out to us. We had weekly calls, and they kept us up to date on the progress.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were new to this process, and they were able to explain things to us in a way we could understand.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure you have weekly calls with them to discuss progress. The team is proactive, so you don’t have to do much in terms of follow-up. They’ll reach out to you if there are any additional requirements. Apart from that, you should have a clear picture of what you want.

Additionally, if you want to implement the website within a specific timeline, you should have a testing phase. In our case, we wanted vendors to come in and register and go through the entire flow of the project. There was a delay on our end because we weren’t able to have vendors come in on time, and that testing phase took a lot of time.

Prototype Completion Rate

Customer App: 100% of planned features (e.g., browsing products, placing orders, tracking deliveries) were successfully designed in the prototype.
Driver App: 100% of essential functions (e.g., accepting deliveries, navigation, status updates, return and exchange features) were implemented in the prototype.
Admin Panel: 100% of backend management features (e.g., order monitoring, inventory tracking, driver assignments, Vendor management) were incorporated into the design effieciently.
 

Stakeholder Approval & Investment Interest

Investor Interest: Two potential investors expressed interest in funding the next development phase.
Business Alignment: The prototype met 100% of initial business requirements set by stakeholders.

These metrics showcase tangible progress and validate the success of the prototype phase, setting a strong foundation for full-scale development.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Their project management was solid overall. They followed an agile approach, breaking everything down into phases and keeping things on track for the most part. Most deliverables like wireframes, UI/UX designs, and the interactive prototypes were delivered on time.

Communication was a big plus. They kept me in the loop with daily check-ins and used tools like Slack and Figma to track progress. Anytime we had feedback or needed changes, they were quick to respond, usually making updates within a couple of days. They didn’t just follow instructions blindl they actually made suggestions to improve the design and user experience, which was great.

There were a few small delays here and there, but nothing that threw the project off course. Overall, they were organized, flexible, and really responsive, which made working with them a smooth experience. They were always very accomodating, very freindly and approachable.

I would happy recoomend their services to anyone.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What really stood out about this company was how much they actually cared about the project. They weren’t just going through the motions they really thought through the customer, driver, and admin experiences to make sure everything felt smooth and intuitive.

A few things that really impressed me:

They didn’t just follow orders - they gave smart suggestions to improve things, like streamlining the checkout process and making the driver’s interface easier to use.
They actually listened. Every time we gave feedback, they didn’t just nod along - they made changes quickly and kept us updated.
Communication was on point. We never had to chase them down for updates, and they were always transparent about progress.
They thought ahead. Even at the prototype stage, they designed things in a way that could scale easily when we moved to full development.

Overall, they were easy to work with, creative, and genuinely invested in making the app great—which made all the difference.

Are there any areas for improvement or something GeekyAnts could have done differently?

From my experience I was thoroughly impressed with their delivery  of service and look forward to working with them on furture projects. No changes I can think of.
