The main idea of ​​our project is that users are helped to lose weight through a balanced diet. The user enters his parameters (weight, height, age...) and based on the parameters, our service offers different dishes that the user can eat and choose from a huge list what he/she likes. We already had the design of our website, but it was not at all functional and convertible. I've decribed to Gapsy the whole idea, provided design references and asked to improve it.

After they gave some thinking to it they proposed to start from scratch and work on the prototype screens and focus first on UX, test them, iterate and then work on the UI. After many iterations, we have agreed on the final prototype and started to work on UI design, which also had quit many iterations. After the UI was approved, they started adapting the design to mobile devices and tablets.

Further, all design and source files were transferred to the development team. Some of the designers I did not asked for and they were coming up with new ideas and always trying to look with fresh eyes and challenge it. This obviously made design much better and we were very pleased with the end result.

We needed a design for our site, so that students would intuitively understand the subject matter and to enable engaging lessons. We discussed our project in detail with Gapsy and determined our goals for this project.

After agreeing the details, they conducted UX research, including competitor analysis, user personas, jobs to be done and user flows. After providing detailed information from the research, they began the stage of UX design, prototyping, and mockups.

During this stage, the designers and I conducted brainstorms to understand how it would be most convenient for a potential client to use the platform. After the UX stage was approved, the designers moved on to the UI, and after it was approved, they handed over all the source files to us.

I found the design studio on Upwork. The decisive factor for me was the reasonable price, the impressive portfolio and the structured approach from our first interview call. This created the trust I needed to ensure a high-quality functional design that can catch the user's eye.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We wanted to create a farm to fork food marketplace, where customers could choose the right products from local farms, learn more about the farms and how they grow their products, and order home delivery of these products. We held frequent meetings where I explained to the team my vision, objectives and design ideas.

The team carefully took notes and went back to do some research and preliminary ideation. We started with UX research, identified the target audience, understood their needs, goals, and mental models. Then we decided on the user experience. The designers described the approximate interaction of users with the interface and threw off the visualization as it would be.

For me personally, the main value added was that I could clearly look and validate each step of my future product. For the interface, the team defined a style guide with the best colors, fonts and iconography combinations that conveyed the objectives of my product to the target audience.

They carefully implemented the clickable and straightforward design prototype. They showed me the layout of the elements on the page which made the software development task clear and straightforward, we didn’t even need a requirements document.

The working process was smooth and well-communicated. Most tasks were completed on time and according to plan.

The studio staff grasped all our wishes, adjusted to improve efficiency, and not only offered several creative ideas for the website design, but challenged our ideas when they thought a better solution was possible. Special thanks to the designers who created excellent and original layouts! I was pleased with the site's design and adaptive version, and we didn't make changes during the development phase.

Our project exceeded our expectations. Therefore, I was glad to cooperate and can recommend this studio with confidence. I think they shouldn’t be afraid of challenging the customer, as whenever they did so, they actually came up with great product improvements.

The project resulted in a complete and visually consistent UX/UI design for the MVP, fully ready for developer handoff.

The final design successfully translated the platform’s storytelling and gamified vision into a cohesive user experience across desktop and mobile.

The design system now allows for efficient development and scalability.  The project took longer than expected due to multiple revisions and clarifications along the way. Better initial structure and understanding of The project would have helped deliver faster. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the result. The final design truly reflects my vision and identity for the project. A bit more organization and collaboration from the start would make the experience perfect, but the team’s responsiveness and flexibility really stood out.

The project was not delivered within the expected timeframe, mainly because multiple revisions had to be made along the way. I would have appreciated a clearer organization and structure from the very beginning, as well as a deeper understanding of my project’s vision from their side.

I also wish the team had collaborated more closely with me during the creative phase instead of mainly executing instructions, as this could have led to faster alignment and fewer iterations.

That said, they were always very responsive and willing to help, showing strong dedication to meeting my needs and adapting until I was satisfied with the result.

Gapsy Studio could improve by providing clearer project structure and communication from the start. Having a well-defined roadmap, timeline, and explanation of each step would help clients better understand the process and reduce confusion.

At the beginning of the project, communication felt a bit unstructured, you receive an overall estimate, but the workflow and steps aren’t always explained unless you ask. For clients who don’t yet have a perfectly defined vision, it would be very helpful if the team took more initiative to ask questions about the “why” and the “how” to better understand the project’s essence before starting the design phase.

I would also suggest a more collaborative approach during the creative process rather than strictly following instructions. This would save time and lead to faster alignment.

Finally, adding a thorough final review before delivery would help catch small alignment or UX details that might otherwise be missed. I would likely recommend Gapsy Studio, especially to clients who already have a clear and structured vision of their project. Their design quality and responsiveness are excellent, and they deliver modern, visually appealing results.  For clients who need more guidance or collaboration during the creative process, I would suggest ensuring that communication and structure are well defined from the start to make the experience smoother.
