What challenge were you trying to address with Funnel Boost Media?
Digital marketing wasn’t my expertise. We needed a professional in that field to revamp, redesign, and strategize in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, and web design.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We usually use Funnel Boost for SEO and PPC services. They do background research on the business or client, and then they discuss with us what’s the best route to take. Once we’ve discussed things, we start our campaign.
Since it’s a long-term game, the results don’t show overnight. When we see results, we can start manipulating the budget or moving it to other areas for strategic goals. We’ve brought in Funnel Boost to work with three clients so far, and we’ve pretty much implemented the same process.
They’ve also done web design for us. We’ve given them a brand guide with colors, logos, and fonts, and they’ve scooped and scored. Funnel Boost knows the best WordPress practices and how to make everything run smoothly and look modern.
On SEO, they do their own research. We can provide information about the customer and what we are targeting, but they handle it all independently.
What is the team composition?
We have 5–6 people on our team. First, we have contact with one of the owners. He talks to clients for financial boost and makes all the contractual sales. The other owner is the mastermind behind the SEO, but he also has his team underneath him.
Overall, we work with web development, business development, a PPC manager, and the two owners. If we need something, we know who’s in charge of what, so it’s easy to reach out to them.
How did you come to work with Funnel Boost Media?
We were using a national company that was doing a poor job, so I took it upon myself to research SEO digital marketing groups in San Antonio. I had a few results, but I ended up with Funnel Boost. Their website looked interesting and was super clean. It drew me in, so I reached out to them.
They called me almost immediately and talked to me about what they could do. I went forward with them because they were the only company that actually took time on the phone to understand what we were looking for. They had a personal approach, and our relationship has been nothing but uphill from there.

We’ve spent about $12,000 a month for the past two years. Some of that’s budgeted for ad spend, but that’s the overall budget that we work with Funnel Boost.

Before we started using Funnel Boost, we were averaging 250 low-authority backlinks. Now, we’re more diverse with our backlinks — we have some high, middle, and low-authority. Moreover, they help us with organic growth. We went from maybe 2,000 to 10,000 views on the website per month. We’ve also decreased our PPC spend from $9,000 to $3,000 in just one year.
Additionally, they’ve worked efficiently and quickly to get things done as we need them. Not only do they bring us clients, but they also help us to be a shepherd over the herd. When clients come in with any request or issue, we have Funnel Boost on the phone to help us get rid of that, block some things off, or redirect them. In turn, customers have less emotional distress, which helps us with branding and community relationship.
How did Funnel Boost Media perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re on their toes and ready to work. Whenever we ask them to do something, they get to it right away. One time, the reports didn’t appear as they should’ve, so I emailed them and immediately got a response. They were ready within five minutes.
Also, it’s very easy to work with their team. They’re personable people, and they answer our questions. In fact, their communication is one of the things I like the most about working with Funnel Boost. It goes all around from them to us, and we go back and forth through email, phone calls, and so on.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s the curated experience. Nobody wants to feel like a number, and Funnel Boost doesn’t make us feel that way. We’re a special client to them.

We haven’t run into any issues so far.

If you don’t know about digital marketing, I would recommend asking each company you’re interviewing about it to see if they tell you the truth. Don’t fall for companies that tell you they can increase your revenue.
Funnel Boost was honest, and they taught us that with SEO, we weren’t going to see results appear like magic. It takes time, and not everything is sure because you’re constantly competing over keywords and other things. After the initial meeting, I many conversations with the Team as they worked on achieving my vision of the website. I would like to note here: that the Funnel Boost Media Team did an excellent job of listening to my ideas and concepts!

Three people worked with me on this project. Jacob Dial, COO Cory Rodriguez, Senior Developer Cecilia Bretado, Cory took the lead after the initial set up and Managed the process.

We have just launched the site, but I will provide feedback after some time.

The website cost $7,500. The monthly SEO is around $2,000 per month, so we’ve spent around $65,000 in total.

We started working together in December 2018. We’re still working together on the monthly SEO services.

How did Funnel Boost Media perform from a project management standpoint?
We mainly communicate through email, but they’re available through phone calls. They always take my calls whenever I need them. Mainly, it’s easier for us to communicate through email, though.
I’ve never had a problem in terms of meeting deadlines or scheduling with them. They were at every meeting and appointment. They use Salesforce to manage the project. Their team always does what they say they’ll do, so I’ve never had a problem with them — I’m very satisfied with that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The easiness of the whole process and their availability are great aspects of working with them. They work seven days a week so I can communicate with them on the weekend — they’re always available. I’m very happy with their service and continue to use them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t have any criticism.
