What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

One of our core goals for the year was to improve our SEO and drive brand awareness through top-tier media publications and expert commentary. We wanted to partner with Fractl, a digital PR agency, to drive targeted traffic to our Canadian website, MedExpress CA which we launched at the end of last year.

We initially reached out to Joe, the Co-founder and Head of Digital PR, because of the great success they were seeing with our sister business in the US.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

 Fractl manages data journalism campaigns and secures reactive press commentary. Starting from ground zero in Canada, we needed to build brand-new press relationships and establish ourselves as clinical experts available for expert commentary.

Fractl pitch ideas designed to generate coverage with strong press hooks, all while respecting our high clinical authority and remaining compliant within a heavily regulated market. They pitch ideas to us, and we collaborate on feedback. Our most successful campaigns so far for weight loss and sexual health have been the Weight Loss Index and Perceptions of Quitting Porn.

Our core contacts include Joe (Content Marketing Director), Nicole (Head of Digital PR and AI), Kip (Associate Director of Digital PR), and Adi. We also interact regularly via Slack with their data journalism team, who present new campaign concepts and reactive ideas. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our first retainer for MedExpress CA ran from February 2026 to July 2026. Based on those results, we have just started our next retainer.

How did your relationship with your partner evolve?
Our US brand, ZipHealth, gave them glowing reviews. Fractl deeply understands the regulatory restrictions of the healthcare market, ensuring complete compliance. We were also drawn to their creativity and data-driven approach to securing press coverage.

Within a 6-month scope of work, Fractl secured over 500 links and media coverage pieces across our brand. They’ve arranged high-profile interview opportunities for our medical experts to showcase their knowledge. They are currently tracking at +341% against our YTD target. As a new entrant in the Canadian market, our initial expectations were conservative, but Fractl completely blew us away.

In what ways can they improve?

They consistently meet all deadlines, operate with high efficiency, and make collaboration effortless. We review pitch ideas together in a shared Google Doc and track progress in Google Sheets, while doing day-to-day communication over Slack, where they are incredibly responsive and thorough. What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

One of our core projects for the year was improving our SEO. We wanted to work with Fractl, a digital PR agency, to drive traffic to our website, ZipHealth, based in America, and create brand awareness.

What was the scope of their involvement?

As part of our scope of work with Fractl, they’ve managed some data journalism campaigns and conducted reactive press quotes with the press they’ve been pitching for. At the start of our ideation, they asked many kickoff questions in which we shared our business objectives and what we hoped to achieve from the partnership.

Then, the Fractl team did a comprehensive link gap analysis to understand what links were missing from a digital PR perspective to drive traffic to our site. They’ve also discussed where we could optimize press coverage to drive that traffic to our site.

Essentially, they’ve come back with ideas to close the link gap and insights into topics that would be newsworthy and generate press for us. They’ve pitched these ideas to us, and we’ve given feedback on them. 

One of the most successful campaigns we’ve worked on with them has been the Soundtrack of Intimacy.

What is the team composition?

We initiated the conversation with Kelsey, the co-founder and head of digital PR. We’ve had three core team members we speak to most regularly: Joe, their content marketing director; Nicole, the head of digital PR and AI; and Kip, the associate director of digital PR. Additionally, there have been five other teams with whom we’ve been in regular contact on our Slack channel, including the data journalism team, which has been pitching campaigns and presenting reactive ideas to us regularly.

How did you come to work with Fractl?

An employee on a different team who previously worked with them at my company referred them to us. We chose them because we liked their approach to reviewing the link gap analysis and their data-driven approach to securing press coverage. Additionally, they’ve been very creative and shared our brand values.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our first retainer for ZipHealth started in May 2024 and ended in October 2024. Then, we onboarded them for a second six-month period, from November 2024 to April 2025. We have Levity’s retainer with them from September 2024 to February 2025, another brand within our company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Fractl has driven over 500 links and coverage across our brands, which has been great. As a result, we’ve achieved triple-digit growth, a 251% year-on-year in SEO traffic to our sites. One campaign has highlighted and explored the connection between music and sex.
The team's in-depth ideas about closing the link gap have been specific to our brand objectives and aligned with the issues we’ve wanted to discuss. They’ve quickly amended the ideas where we’ve wanted to see some changes, and then we’ve progressed with some ideas we’ve been happy with.

We’ve been so happy with the results of the first retainer that we’ve onboarded them for a second six-month period and for another weight loss brand within our company, Levity.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve consistently met all deadlines. They’ve been highly organized and efficient, and collaboration with them has been very easy. We’ve shared a Google document where we review their pitches collaboratively and a tracker on Google Sheets.

I’m the senior director of content marketing at a digital media company. We publish data journalism and have Fractl pitch our pages to reporters and journalists. We publish methodologies on insurance products and personal finance. We try to help connect our users to the financial products they need.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

We downsized our marketing team about a year ago to focus on other efforts across the business. I still wanted to keep the marketing alive, particularly the digital PR, but I couldn’t do it all by myself.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We brainstorm together what the next topic will be for our data journalism. We lock in a few topics, and my team does the research and gathers the data. We publish the studies and create the visual assets, then we send them over to Fractl. The team reaches out to their network to try to get placements for us for that content.

Currently, we do all the content creation, and they do the marketing and ideation with us. Fractl is pitching two of our studies per month. We spend some time talking together about what stories are hot topics or seasonal.

For example, we published a study on burglary rates in homes across America. The typical thing you’ll hear is that burglary rates go up in the summer. However, our study found that it wasn’t necessarily the case. It was very much a regional matter. In cold climates, burglary rates go up in the summer. In places like California and Texas, which are warm most of the year, it’s actually the opposite. Burglaries go up in the winter. That was a fun one to work with them on. We found a seasonal topic that we had a good chance of getting picked up. The study yielded some counterintuitive findings.

When we have counterintuitive findings, Fractl can pitch that with more confidence to journalists because it’s more interesting and newsworthy. Moreover, they’re responding to queries from journalists and putting us in touch with them so we can get on TV, radio, or podcasts. We’re trying to land some of those placements as well.

What is the team composition?

I work with Joe, Fractl's director, and Kip, who handles all digital PR. Occasionally, someone else pops into the Slack thread, but those are the two I work with closely.

How did you come to work with Fractl?

We’ve hired former employees from Fractl in the past. I worked with them pretty closely, so I already had a good idea that Fractl had great talent. That was in the back of my mind when I went out to find someone to help fill this gap for us.

I got a bunch of quotes from several providers similar to Fractl. Ultimately, I liked what they had to say and their price point. We talked with Joe, and I really liked what he had to say. I liked that he was willing to be flexible and work within our budget. It ended up being a good match.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay $4,000 per month. We’ve spent $12,000 so far, and I’m hoping to increase it.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2026, and the engagement is ongoing. We're looking into our budget so we can have more campaigns with the team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve landed a ton of coverage for us. We got a New York Post article where they linked to us and included 3–4 quotes from us. The New York Post is a top-tier publisher. We’ve landed some other pretty decent ones, like Zero Hedge and more regional outlets.

We’ve been syndicated across Town Square Media, which syndicates across 500 different domains. They’ve brought in a lot of volume through the syndication relationships. They’ve also landed us some prestigious placements with publishers.

When we get featured in these top-tier outlets, it spreads like wildfire. Sometimes it takes time. For the topics the New York Post published, our study can be rediscovered down the line. Some smaller publishers or individuals researching for themselves or their websites will cite that New York Post article. They’ll see that it’s linking to our study and go straight to our study and cite it.

It’s a nice thing that can continue organic growth for years to come. We keep building on it. From a brand recognition standpoint, it’s great. We can also take the New York Post article and publish it on our social media platforms and send it out to our network.

Moreover, they’ve landed us interviews on media outlets, whether it’s a podcast or TV. The subset there is what outlet it is. Does it have national reach? If it’s a podcast, how many subscribers does it have? Those are the things we’re looking at right now.

Although we didn't know what to expect, Fractl has met, if not exceeded, our expectations. That is the reason we want to increase our spend with them.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

They are super responsive, meet deadlines, and stay on budget. We use Slack to communicate.

We get on a call every once in a while. We meet regularly and have a Slack thread going, so I can chat with them daily if needed. We also have a recap call once a month where they give us some numbers and tell us how things went. We kick around some ideas for future stories. We also have a tracker in Google Sheets where we log all the mentions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their efficacy is impressive. Fractl's relationships with journalists and other media outlets make it really easy to land these placements. That’s the secret to all of this. It’s a lot easier to go through them than build those relationships myself.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really, which feels silly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Since Fractl is just marketing our work, come in with a perspective on what your editorial standards are. You want to create really high-quality content. If the content isn’t good, it doesn’t matter how many contacts or relationships they have. The team won’t be able to place the stories.

Have internal excellent standards for your content. Be open to going back and forth on angles with the team. If Fractl says an angle will perform better than the one you’re suggesting, hear that feedback. Don’t necessarily default to what they’re saying, but be open to changing your approach.

Fractl’s delivery and communication have been excellent. They’ve been on time and thoughtful in their approach to ensure the work is a great fit for us. We communicate via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Fractl’s consideration of AI publishing relationships is unique. Additionally, their agent-based product offerings have allowed our unique digital PR needs to be addressed more directly. For example, their Reddit-based agent is helping us ideate opportunities within the platform for posting and conversation starting.

Fractl provides digital PR services. We’ve started the process by providing them with a few guidelines on what would be a good asset for us in terms of a publisher that will feed our company by placing a mention. We’ve also provided them with the type of campaigns we’ve run in the past and what we’re expecting from them in terms of ideation for the digital PR campaigns they’re running for us. We've provided Fractl with the background, the guidelines, and the expectations for our project.
Fractl secures online mentions for us through organic promotions. The team has created several strategies for interviews, quotes, campaigns, and brand mentions.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is Joe, but we’ve also worked with Kip for the campaigns, Nicole for the quotes and mentions, and about 5–10 teammates from Fractl in total.

We found them through Google. We chose them because of their good online reviews and proven case studies. We also chose them because they were ultra-professional when we met them. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Fractl has secured 60–70 online mentions through organic promotions. Fractl has improved our reputation by allowing our brand to be featured in publications that we wouldn’t have been able to target without their help. The quality of the campaigns they’ve produced for us is something that we didn’t have the resources or knowledge to do.

Moreover, the team has contacts with journalists in the right publications to put us out there. By putting our brand in certain publications, Fractl is improving our brand image and position.

Overall, they’ve exceeded our expectations.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

Fractl consistently stays on budget and meets deadlines. Sometimes, things are a bit delayed, but that’s on both sides because we sometimes take extra time for feedback or ask for extra things. Fractl is constantly clear in communicating what they can do with our budget. If there’s something else they can do for us, they always tell us.

We mainly communicate through emails and Google Meet calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with Fractl's exceeded results, professionalism in communication, and active listening to us as clients. Their adaptability when receiving feedback makes them a great asset. It’s easy to work with them because they adapt to our needs and help us out. Fractl also takes care of informing themselves about who we are, what we need, and what our expectations are.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Fractl could improve the initial ideas they propose to us as a client. Sometimes, we don’t go with the first round of proposals for the campaigns, and there’s always feedback needed. Improving the outcome of the first proposal will save some time. However, Fractl is good at adapting to our feedback. The team comes with one proposal, we give them feedback, and the second proposal is already good.

It isn't a big problem for us, and we're happy to provide Fractl with feedback, but it could've saved us a week on the campaign.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid to ask for adaptability because Fractl will accomplish that. Also, ensure you answer all the questions and the questionnaire Fractl sends you at the beginning because that’ll be key for them to understand your company. The team asks the right questions, and it’s on the client to give the right answers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

We hired Fractl to support our greater organic SEO strategy for a client. We needed help creating content campaigns that could earn high domain authority placements on other publisher sites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl conducts research on behalf of our client with relevant topic areas. The team creates the campaign landing page and all the content based on the culmination of that research. Then, they leverage their extensive network of publishing partners to get exclusive content published on their sites for brand awareness and link authority that supports our client’s domain.

At the start of the relationship, we shared as much as we could regarding our strategy with the client. We've also shared relevant client information and data that would be helpful for them to use as a jumping-off point. During the discovery phase, Fractl provided some documents based on what we had provided in those initial discussions. They've suggested topic areas that would be valuable and relevant. The team has also suggested a list of potential publishers that would be valuable targets.

Ultimately, we aligned on the campaigns we would create over the course of the contract. Then, Fractl started researching and crafting the actual content. The discovery phase happened at the beginning of our 12-month contract. We've aligned on topics for the year. Since then, we’ve had a steady rotation of research, content creation, review, and work to get those campaigns published throughout the year.

There has been an initial keyword research, but we already had a lot of foundational keyword research that drives our strategy with the client. We've provided that to Fractl and directed them from the start. We've told them the keywords we've been trying to gain momentum for. We've had some back-and-forth discussions, but it's been a combined effort.

We collaborate upfront and review the content they create, but Fractl owns the process. The team does all the research and creates all the content. We give it the thumbs up, and our client gives it the thumbs up. Fractl's content goes directly to the client.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been in contact with a handful of people on the Fractl team. Joe, Fractl's director of content marketing, has been our main point of contact. He’s led the partnership along with me. We’ve also worked with several other staff members connected to or leading the research. They keep us apprised of how the research is going. Once Fractl creates the content, they share it with us for feedback.

How did you come to work with Fractl?

A couple of people at my company had either worked with Fractl or used to work for them. It was more of a recommendation that way. I had heard really positive things about them. Additionally, Fractl's strategy was impressive.

We started working with them in January 2025. We've actually renewed our contract with them for another year. Our client gets one campaign a month. It’s a well-oiled machine as far as conducting the research, creating the content for review, and working with us to get it approved and published by the client.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen very strong placements of the high domain authority, which is the ultimate goal in this partnership. We’ve leveraged Fractl’s extensive contact list and earned placements we wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

We’ve seen great success from the majority of the campaigns we’ve published over the last year. Some campaigns have been published on very high awareness sites. Others have been published on a site and then syndicated across a news outlet. This has helped us gain 200 more links on multiple new sites and the domain authority from all of those sites. Overall, Fractl has exceeded our expectations.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been impressed with them as a partner. I say that to anyone I get to talk to about Fractl. They’re highly impressive from a project management standpoint. The team responds rapidly and is consistently willing to collaborate and pivot if needed. They’re always on time.

We operate together using a shared spreadsheet. We can all see the live updates, and that has worked well for us. We primarily communicate via email. Sometimes, we have Zoom calls, but mostly, we use email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Fractl's response rate has been incredible throughout the entire partnership. They’re rapid responders, which is so valuable. Beyond that, the people who work there are incredibly kind and wise. In the first few conversations I had with them, I already felt they would be a very strong partner. From the onset, that went a very long way.

No, I don’t have any constructive feedback. They’re fantastic.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re an extremely creative group of people. Fractl does what they say they’re going to do, and they do it well. They also have a lot of interesting ideas you might not think of. Don’t be afraid to give them a little creative or strategic control if you’re looking to expand what you brought to the table for them. Fractl excels at expanding on ideas and collaborating further.

Be open to Fractl's ideas because, depending on your experience, you might be in unfamiliar territory. Test them out and see if their insight proves accurate. If not, Fractl is more than open to adjusting on the fly in case things aren't performing as expected.

We hired Fractl to do large-scale digital PR and data journalism campaigns to increase our website’s domain authority.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl worked on data journalism campaigns, including long data-based articles. The team also produced infographics that displayed the results of the data surveys. Moreover, Fractl gave us opportunities to submit expert quotes to journalists who were seeking them out. The team managed and followed up on the requests, got our quotes, and submitted them to the journalists.

We worked with around five teammates from Fractl, including those from content marketing, data journalism, and digital PR.

How did you come to work with Fractl?

We knew Fractl from referrals and had worked with them before at a different business. We knew of their track record of success in digital PR. When attempting to choose an agency, we met with Fractl and three other agencies. Each agency submitted a proposal, and we reviewed those proposals and had meetings with each agency. After that, we decided to work with Fractl.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our domain rating went from about 15 to over 30. The most successful campaign we worked on with Fractl over the past several months was a data journalism campaign about the vandalism rates on Teslas in connection to the current political climate. The team also produced high-quality infographics.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

Fractl met deadlines and stayed on budget. We exclusively used Google Sheets to track our progress, and Fractl registered the campaigns we were working on, all of the links we had as a result of those campaigns, and all the expert quote requests that were in play. For our communication, we used Slack and had occasional meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The ease of communication and how quickly Fractl responded to questions on Slack impressed us. Fractl made the process super simple. The team was highly professional and successful in what they did, providing a great client experience. Fractl made everything smooth and offered us a lot of confidence that we were going to reach the goals we had set.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of any.

Go into an engagement with Fractl knowing that you have the time to devote to the responsibilities on your end as a client. This includes providing and reviewing quotes and reviewing data journalism campaigns. This is the way you’ll get the most out of the engagement. Fractl will work as fast as you’re able to work, so knowing you have the capacity to do so makes the whole experience much more successful.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl provided SEO and content marketing services. The team conducted discovery sessions with our end client to determine what they wanted to be ranked for and who they were trying to target. After that, Fractl created an SEO strategy that targeted a list of keywords and a timeline for delivering the content pieces associated with those keywords.

Fractl created the copy and any associated graphics with those articles or journalism pieces. Then, our team took it from there.

We were in the same service area, so we knew about Fractl. We engaged with them because they were experts in content marketing, and we didn't do much of that.

Fractl delivered on time and on budget and communicated well with us. If something wasn't right, they fixed it. We had no complaints. We communicated via email, phone calls, and Zoom.

I’m the head of SEO and content at a math game company. We gamify the math learning process so kids can learn math through playing a fun game.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

We had a lot of bad backlinks and very few strong ones. We hired Fractl to pursue better quality backlinks on major media websites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl devised a plan for our engagement. They conducted surveys on our behalf, and we approved the topics and survey results. Then, they pitched stories about those surveys to media outlets all over the United States. They were responsible for images and text.

Usually, there was a post on our site that had their images and data. They did a lot of pitching to media outlets, and those outlets would write a separate story that Fractl was not actually involved in the writing of. They would just pitch the idea or provide a part of the idea, essentially to the outlet.

They came up with the ideas of which topics to pursue and created the content themselves. We also briefly worked with them on some other content they created for a website that was not pitched to the media.

I was brought on late in the process, so the engagement was already ongoing when I joined.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Fractl got us over 1,400–1,500 media mentions across the internet. They also got us approximately 40 DA90 or higher backlinks, approximately another 25 DA80 or higher, and another 50 DA70 or higher. In general, people were interested in the surveys. Some people were really enthusiastic about some of the surveys they did. We got a lot of positive news coverage.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

They met deadlines and stayed on budget. We communicated via email and had a meeting every two weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They overdelivered. They promised 300 mentions and backlinks, and they gave us 1,500. That was much more than we were looking for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a little closer to our market niche.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Fractl is a great partner for SEO, PR, and quality backlinks for your website. They know their stuff. You should work with them if you’re looking for original survey research. That has much more cachet with reporters than just regular blog posts. That’s what they’re really good at, and that’s why I recommend them.

The content was always high-quality, and the results were consistent and solid. We saw over 200 placements on sites with a domain authority of 70+, which was the kind of links we were looking for. The quality of Fractl’s work met our expectations. We used the research reports extensively for our own social and email campaigns. The content was very good.
