We had a manual ticket system, with 1–2 people handling all ticket sales. The biggest challenge was determining seat availability. We wanted an automated system that would list all of our events and keep track of event statuses. We also wanted people to be able to book tickets online.

Forebear Productions developed our website and digital box office. After that, they created the Android and iOS mobile application. They continue to maintain the products.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provide high-quality work. The system is really robust and automated, and we now have a complete solution. If somebody calls and asks us to book a ticket on their behalf, we can do so through the box office. 

How did Forebear Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. They’re very quick to respond to us. When we experience issues, they will work on the weekend if necessary. We use Jira. We regularly analyze their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their services are excellent, and their work is impressive. We have a six-year relationship with them because of the quality work that they do for us.

There’s nothing for them to improve.

Initially, one of Forebear Productions’ developers built our main WordPress website using PHP. We then expanded the scope and scaled the team. They’ve now developed more than 100 websites—including some e-commerce sites—for our clients.

The CEO is my main point of contact. I share requirements with him and he assigns developers to each project. Teams include 3–4 developers, depending on the scope, as well as QA testers.

Development for our main site went smoothly. Furthermore, Forebear Productions has helped our business grow by implementing everything we wanted to convey to American customers. The team works independently on our clients’ sites because they understand our business well; we only need to provide the instructions. Their ability to learn processes quickly and deliver quality results saves us time and makes our clients happy.

How did Forebear Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

We have strict timeframes for the projects and Forebear Productions delivers on time. Their effective project management approach includes complex business analyses. We interact via email, Skype, and Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is available in the middle of the night to handle urgent tasks. They are helpful, supportive, and professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Forebear Productions has performed well and I no problems with them. I recommend the team to other people.

Forebear designed and developed a mobile app for iOS and Android based on our requirements. They then designed and developed a website, using a combination of a CMS and database-driven system, including PHP and Javascript. From inception to design and development, their team follows an agile methodology.

We started working together around the spring of 2016. The first project wrapped up in 2017, but we continue to work with them on other projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our first project with Forebear was a huge hit for our company, which led us to expand our relationship with them. They provided a solution that our internal team was unable to deliver. Some of the apps they've worked on for us have reached the list of top 100 educational apps in the iOS store. We've received a phenomenal response from the quality of the apps they've built; people are enjoying them and leaving positive reviews.

How did Forebear Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very serious when it comes to project management, and committed to getting projects done efficiently. Rarely have they had to allocate additional hours outside their estimates for any project or fallen behind schedule. They track tasks through Trello, which allows us to see exactly what stacks they're working on and ask questions or leave feedback through the system. We also communicate with them frequently through Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by their ability to keep projects lean from start to finish. They adapt to our needs and have strong technical expertise. I'm also very impressed by the performance and types of resources they're able to provide from their team—they go over an beyond what's expected.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Maintain an open and active line of communication with the developers working on the project, so everyone's on the same page.
