Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a creative producer at Dept Agency. We are an international agency and we do everything around SEO &  SEA strategies as well as video and still image advertisement creation.

What challenge were you trying to address with Monic Films GmbH?

We hired Monic Films to do video production for us and cover everything regarding shooting, casting, and post-production.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We approached Monic Films with our concept. We wrote down what stories we wanted to create, and the production director helped us nail down a concept of each film. Monic Fims then helped us with the casting and set design, overseeing the schedules and bringing in necessary crew members.

Together, we were able to make a total of four feature films. We also did still photography so that we could have something to post on our social media channels and print in magazines.

What is the team composition?

We usually have around 15 people on set. Niklas (Film Editor & Co-Founder) is my main contact. Another one of the owners steps in during postproduction as well.

How did you come to work with Monic Films GmbH?

Niklas, the director, and I all used to work at the same company. I originally got to know them in the business context and decided to bring them into my new company. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent roughly €55,000 (approximately $64,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We first approached them around April 2021, and our partnership is still ongoing. We’re supposed to have concluded the campaign at this point but our client was very happy with the content and asked us to produce more.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the films we produced with Monic FIlms has gotten roughly 500,000 views while another has reeled in around 300,000 views. Three of the four videos we’ve made received 1.25 million views in total.

How did Monic Films GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?

Moniv Films is amazing at managing the project. I am super happy with the whole process and the great work of the producer. We communicate mainly through email, phone calls, Google Hangouts, and Telegram.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very young themselves so they have a good understanding of how to tell stories to young audiences. They are easy to work with and always see me eye-to-eye on everything.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind. I'm super happy with how we work together.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come in with a clear vision and be open to collaborating with Monic. Let them challenge your ideas because feedback is very valuable.

Video Production for the online-video "Maskenmuffel" for BVG, Germany's biggest local transportation system

What were your goals for this project?

Telling consumers - in a smart way - to wear a mask on trains and buses in Berlin.

How did you select Monic Films?

We selected Monic cause they are extremely creative, agile, professional and by the way - a lot of fun working with.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The timing was tough. And due to an earlier stage of Covid also our first film production after the local lockdown. Monic made everything possible, within eachdeadline, within the budget and within all the health and safety-restrictions.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Monic was so flexible, agile and quick that each feedback from our clients was executed within a short amount of time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results were beyond the expected. Within the first days of the launch on YouTube and all social media channels of BVG our video reached nearly 1,5 mio. consumers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective team-work. Due to the tough timing we knew that we had to act and react quickly. Monic were the perfect guys for that.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their humanity, their fun, their great professionalism and overall: you realize that these guys really love what they do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The beer was not cold enough ;-)
