We hired Fireart Studio to lead our rebranding effort- to explore a new color palette, typeface, iconography and photography for Replicant.

How did you select Fireart Studio?

We looked at several vendors both in the US and abroad. We narrowed the search to 3 branding/design firms and chose Fireart because they had a great portfolio of work, at a very reasonable budget.

We followed a typical brand design process. It started with a briefing for the Fireart team on the company and our project. They developing a communications and brand strategy, followed by 3-4 mood boards to establish the overall creative direction. We moved through several rounds of development to include color palette, typeface, photography, etc...

A bonus during this was the development of a new logo, which was not part of the original spec, but we liked it so much, we adopted it.

How many people from the Fireart Studio team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a project manager, a creative lead, and two or three supporting designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Fireart team was great to work with. They shared multiple creative directions with us. We ultimately chose one direction to develop, and within 5 or so months completed the project- from creative strategy to final brand design recommendations.

We had weekly project meetings that were efficient and well prepared. We also communicated regularly via email and slack. Dmytro and Kotryna in particular were very effective communicators. When we disagreed on a direction (which happens in brand design!) they were very effective at explaining their point of view.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Fireart Studio had great communication, combined with strong design, at an affordable price for a project like this.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We really enjoyed working with Fireart!

I’m the CEO of Prajix, a software company that helps students and undergraduates build project ideas from the ground up.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fireart Studio?

We needed to develop a website for our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

FireArt Studio developed our website using the UX/UI we'd already designed. They used a mix of coding languages and frameworks, including Javascript, HTML, and React.js. They also used MongoDB for the database. 

On the site, we can customize suggestions connecting project members to project ideas. Users can upload their project outlines and create a profile, which is used to match users. Users can collaborate through Zoom, texts, or chat functions.

What is the team composition?

Fireart Studio's CTO was on our project team the entire time, but the other teammates involved changed. We worked with back- and frontend developers and a personal assistant. 

How did you come to work with Fireart Studio?

Fire Art Studio was referred to us by one of my mentors about a year ago.

FireArt Studio stood out from other providers because they had a more personal approach — we knew our relationship was over after meeting their team.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $86,000 with Fireart Studio. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Fireart Studio from February 2021–May 2022. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We just received the source code, so I'm not sure what concrete metrics I can provide at this time. Overall, my team and I like the clean look and feel of the website — the site was fresh and easy to use. We haven't faced any UX challenges. 

How did Fireart Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We kept in close contact with Fireart Studio through Slack, email, and Zoom. We also used Notion and Google Drive to manage the project and exchange project pieces. Fireart Studio's team provided regular updates about our current project status and where the project was headed. They were clear about whether we'd met our project and payment deadlines. The project updates from Fireart Studio helped us plan work in our other departments and set up launch dates. Fireart Studio's personal assistant helped us with communication, helping us get into a working rhythm whenever we had new teammates join the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Fireart Studio's communication through email was great. We're based in the US, and it can be tricky to schedule Zoom meetings, but they were good at providing answers to our questions via email. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Fireart Studio could be more flexible with their meeting hours and adaptive to their client's schedules.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd recommend that customers ask questions and request updates so that both partners are very clear about the project status and the bigger picture. It's crucial to understand the entire process to ensure the product is finalized — customers shouldn't just hand over the payment and expect everything to get done.

I’m the CEO of Sprightful Solar, a solar energy company that builds software that allows clients to review their energy details and make bill payments to us.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fireart Studio?

We wanted to build our MVP. Our team wanted to check the viability of hiring an external company to help develop the product instead of hiring a software engineer or a developer of our own. As a result, we hired Fireart.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

As the first step of the engagement, we sat down for half a day and talked about the important aspects of what we wanted to build. This was Fireart’s discovery process. From there, we decided on the product’s features and the look of its corresponding web app. They then provided us with a quote. Fireart built the product’s frontend from scratch, while the backend was made using the testing apps our team had developed. Fireart also worked on the look and feel of the product. 

In terms of features, the platform allowed us to tap into energy sensors and grab information from them through a cloud-based API. The product would then display the information on a dashboard app. It could also make calculations to help us understand how much we should charge for our service every month. The MVP ran on React, and it was meant to run on both mobile and desktop devices. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with an account manager, a lead developer, a frontend developer, and backend developer. Our team could connect directly with the front- and backend developers, but they often followed the instructions of their lead developer. In total, 4–5 people were involved in the project from Fireart. 

How did you come to work with Fireart Studio?

I found Fireart through Dribble. 

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we spent between $50,000–$60,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

This particular project lasted from March–December 2020. To be clear, we’re about to jumpstart the second version of this project, but it hasn’t started yet.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We were successful in getting an MVP. We’d been able to use the software that Fireart developed to test the waters of our market. Our team wasn’t exactly looking for users or any numbers — we were simply validating plenty of ideas. With Fireart’s help, we’d done that. Overall, this project was successful. 

How did Fireart Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Fireart delivered the product on time though slightly over budget. The team was careful when they quoted us; they gave us both a pessimistic and an optimistic range for cost. In other words, they didn’t give us an exact price. They gave us a range, and we were ok with that. To communicate, we used Slack, Google Meet, and emails. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their front- and backend teams had a solid integration — they worked efficiently together. Their frontend work was great, while their ability to develop the backend of the product was quite good. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

If they had better tools for better QA testing, then that would be awesome. For context, they largely relied on our team to do the tests. That wasn’t sufficient for us — we weren’t developers, so we didn’t know exactly what to seek. We could’ve used a bit more help in that regard. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear understanding of how to communicate with Fireart. Reach out more often or whenever you have any doubts. Schedule video calls instead of pushing your doubts away. Being proactive about communicating your concerns will be helpful.

We talked to their sales manager first. Later, we were navigated through the entire process by their project manager. At the end of the project, we got a chance to have an online meeting with the CEO of Fireart personally. It's was a great collaboration!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The digital marketing platform created by Fireart Studio performs seamlessly. Since they finished a product development process, we have never faced any inconveniences or technical issues.

Our team and Fireart were communicating very smoothly. They organized weekly meetings to update us on the project's progress, and we loved how they packed all the necessary information in a concise format.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Fireart created very beautiful branded illustrations for our software. Illustrations are made in our brand's primary colors and help us raise the team's spirit when we are working with our new digital marketing tool.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The overall work was great. However, they were sometimes too soft with our suggestions. We couldn't even clearly say what we want from the product at the very beginning, and our suggestions were unprofessional. So, we expected that they as would approach us with expert recommendations more aggressively.

We constantly collaborated with 2 designers and a developer. Our main contact point with Fireart team was their project manager.

We should admit that our company started attracting more clients with a new website. The traffic doubled during several months.

Our teams collaborated smoothly. The project was delivered in a timely and responsible manner. We had weekly meetings and some additional calls in-between when it was necessary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Fireart is amazing, and their web animation and design significantly contribute to such a positive impression.

We haven't noticed any issues or areas for improvement.

I hired Fireart Studio to design and develop a custom marketing and CRM software for my company. We're an international company with hundreds of clients worldwide. So, we needed a robust and sustainable CRM software that would help us manage our customer base and effectively communicate with clients. Also, this software had to help us look for new clients, reach out to them and allows us to easily create beautiful sales and marketing emails.

First, I saw Fireart's works on Dribbble. They are currently ranking among the top design studios there, so it's was relatively easy to find them.

We connected for the first call to discuss project details. At the next stage, we moved forward to workshops to collaboratively create a user persona and came up with some product ideas. Later, their team delivers stunning designs and technology solutions, and our company approved them. Right now, Fireart team is working on the project implementation, and we're looking forward to seeing a finished product.

Our team is mostly communicating with Fireart's project manager. We also talked to their sales manager at the very beginning.

We can't share any outcomes right now since the project is still ongoing.

Fireart runs all proccesses very constitently and in a timely manner. The workflow seems great and effective right now.

We're delighted with the UI design that they suggested for our software. Their idea are very innovative, so I may say that Fireart is impressive due to its creative thinking and professional design.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't say any area for imporvement as we liked how Fireart works.

What were your goals for this project?

Our primary goal was to deliver a truly intuitive mobile music experience to users. Also, we aimed to create an outstanding design, and we were ready to incorporate animation, special visual effects and beautiful microinteractions to make an impressive product.

We started the project with a kick-off meeting followed by several workshops to discuss the project scope, goals, user persona, requirements, etc. Then, Fireart created several wireframes and prototypes. When we accepted the final UI and UX design, they continued developing the application in code. They also tested the product many times and almost at every stage of the project.

Fireart's project manager was our main contact person. He regularly updated us about the project progress. Also, we communicated once with a designer and lead developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Later, we received many positive user reviews on the App Store. Also, the app performs smoothly till today, and we haven't had faced any problems or technical infelicities.

We find Fireart exceptionally responsible and tolerant. It seemed that they did their best to make a workflow as effective and convenient as possible. We like this collaboration.

Fireart creates amazing user interface design and their animation works are literally fascinating.
