We are a full service digital marketing agency in Orlando. We have a team of about 10 members and we service the hospitality industry. My role as founder is to lead our growth and development.

Because we are in a real time social media environment, it is key that we move fast. Changes happen fast, they happen frequently, and often they happen at the last minute. We needed a partner who could respond to things ultra fast, and we wanted someone who could get it done right the first time.

We were looking for a partner who was not only able to work quickly, but work right. We looked for a group that was great at communicating and coming up with ideas and solutions for our problems.

They were responsible for developing and maintaining our website. We started working with them 3 years ago and the relationship is ongoing.

Safari Surf is a surf instructional tour operator providing all-inclusive surf vacations to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Our offices are located in the USA and in Costa Rica. We have around 20 employees globally.

I am the Chief Executive Officer and owner of the company, and I’m in charge of sales, marketing and public relations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Safari Surf needed to revamp its website for desktop and mobile as the UI and UX was not up to standards. Working with Finoit Technologies was very simplistic and professional, and they offered the services we needed in a timely and affordable manner. Since Finoit developed our updated URL and mobile platform, we have seen a marked increase in inquiries, and as a result, overall sales.

SOLUTION

Finoit Technologies was recommended to me by a colleague. I interviewed them, and from my interview and strong recommendation from my colleague, I was confident in their abilities to provide me the service and reasonable pricing I was looking for. The Finoit team worked in close proximity with Safari's web designer as well as with Safari's sophisticated backend CRM [customer relationship management] system, Peak 15, to create a seamless UI and UX user experience. The duration of the project was about 4 months in total.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

In using Finoit Technologies, my business was able to save a substantial amount of time and overall cost compared to other developers we had interviewed for the job. The Finoit team was very easy to work with, was on budget, and within a reasonable time as far as the deliverables being in the scope of timing that was agreed upon in advance.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Finoit?

We had many challenges to address on our website. We were searching for a developer with strong problem solving skills and the knowledge to give feedback about user behavior and user flow. Our website also had many issues with poor coding. Whenever we had a developer change something on our site, it would create a waterfall effect and cause multiple other issues in the user flow to arise. The other issue we had was finding a good communicator with a dependable work ethic.

SOLUTION

We agreed to work with them for a set amount of hours each week to develop and improve our website. The group implemented a development site as well as a staging site for our website, so we can work out new ideas before they go live. They also found that our site was running 2 versions of bootstrap, which is what caused so many issues in the first place.

Could you share any feedback from this engagement?

This group is excellent at communicating and they are reliable. They are able to offer feedback and think outside of the box. Most developers are told to do “x” and will sometimes (if you are lucky) hit the “x” you actually hoped for. This group is capable of taking the “x” you asked for and suggest the “y” and “z” that you didn’t think of, and their execution is excellent. We were tired of giving other developers instructions and having to edit their work 10 times before they got the job right. Bottom line, Finoit has helped to improve our site tremendously and we are extremely optimistic about the future of our business with them as a partner.

BACKGROUND

Our project was a mobile fishing application that connects anglers from their local area, and that allows users to keep in touch with fishers from all around the world. Users can also connect with friends and subscribe to Anglers. With our Fishing app, anglers can share fishing experiences, upload fishing photos, drop GPS anchors, create private map visibility screens, and much more. The fishing app is location/radius based which allows users to stay in touch with local angler knowledge and the latest fishing news.

I’m the Chief Executive Officer of the company and have been responsible for creating ideas and implementing them.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

The fishing community could do much with tech empowerment. However, there hasn’t really been any solution in the market which could facilitate the social experience for the huge fishing community, until now.

SOLUTION

We developed our platform to facilitate a way for the fishing community to interact and socialize with fishers across the world. Finoit has developed an iOS and Android app along with web back-end, and they have been responsible for updates, support, and maintenance of same. I did a lot of screening and evaluated multiple vendors before finalizing my decision to go with Finoit. Finoit stood out with multiple positive past references, varied skill range, and their consultative approach. They not only developed the platform, but also provided valuable creative inputs which I have incorporated in my platform.

The project lasted for a couple of months and the work is ongoing for post launch. We have constantly been working on new updates and features.

They not only delivered as per my expectations, but also exceeded them. Finoit has a fantastic team with a consultative approach and good integrity, which I value the most. I’m sure we will be working together for many more years to come, on this project and new projects.

BACKGROUND

We operate numerous dating services and brands powered by our dating platform. I am the founder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

The goal of this project was to develop native applications on both Android & iOS for consumers to use. These applications needed to be able to communicate with our dating platform.

SOLUTION

We selected Finoit after a thorough tendering process. We were impressed by their portfolio of existing work and extensive knowledge in this area.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Our apps launched into the Android & iOS marketplaces and have continued to grow. So far we have had around 500,000 downloads and our apps average a 4/5 app rating. We continue to work with Finoit to upgrade and update our applications.

BACKGROUND

2Way is a software startup based in Iceland, developing a software solution for pilots and pilot groups or unions. I am the founder and owner of 2Way.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Our target users are the world's airline pilot unions or groups. The challenge is to convince the target group to switch from conventional means of communication (email, blogs, etc.) to a more interactive way of doing things via mobile platform and working with statistics in a backend system.

One potential big challenge is how relatively small the target is, but the side product of this solution is also achievable in a much bigger market.

The number of pilots is set to grow enormously over the next 10 years, so we think there is a real opportunity here.

SOLUTION

Finoit has provided all programming for iOS, Android, and web based backend along with support. I got to know Finoit after a long selection process, and what made them stand out was that they had multiple experts available for every field and a good track record.

The project lasted initially for 2 years but is now an ongoing development.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

All required elements were delivered satisfactorily. If there is a unique factor regarding Finoit, it is that they have qualified experts for every job needing attention so there is no need to have an amateur experimenting or looking outside the team for qualified personnel. For a project extending over this long period and being physically apart, tension tends to rise, but the team did a great job of communicating in a prompt, professional manner.

Everyone can improve, Finoit is no exception. What I think is important for all service providers is that they have to be able to show initiative, especially when working with non-specialists, since they might hold a better solution to a requested job or feature. Also, going that extra mile has never disappointed anyone.

We were able to build the initial version and launch in our planned timeline, and continued to engage Finoit for next level of development and support work.

Once that was done and when the project moved to development, their project team used to connect with us once a week. They built a good product and were responsive to what we needed.
