Gamer Loot app is an E-sports skills challenge platform. We allow players to challenge friends and outside opponents for set loot amounts. While doing so we also provide each player the ability to stream their matches in order for them to build and grow their own communities. I'm a Co-Founder and Head of Business Development.

For what projects/services did your company hire Finally Free Productions?

The Gamer Loot team hired FFP to produce our wire-frame prototype initially. Once they delivered on this phase (early I might add) we decided to move forward with Phase Two which was starting the back end development of the app itself.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals are to become the leading E-Sports Challenge and Streaming App.

Our team researched top app developers within the NYC area and found a total of 3 teams we we're impressed with. We ended up selecting FFP after our initial phone call that had us excited to meet them in person.

The 3 of us Founders felt super comfortable with Saj and his team. They themselves were gamers and could relate to our product immediately, not to mention they are an Award Winning App development team.

FFP provided wire-frame development and interactive prototyping. They provided UX/UI strategy advice that was key in building the app itself.

What was the team composition?

Saj has been the overall source of information and strategy as the Project Lead. Horton has been our main point of contact for all items on our list. Aaliayah has also acted as developer and project lead.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

FFP has most certainly steered us around issues in our original user flow map. With their experience in building applications and us being new to the space, months and many dollars have been saved on our part thanks to their input.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We have been in full communication from meeting to delivery of Phase 1. The team at FFP has offered us an open line of communication for any ideas or questions we have, no matter when we have them. All meetings and initial conversations have been arranged through Horton. All progress and deliveries have come from Saj/Aaliayah.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

First off their humbleness, they are an award winning app development team and yet they did not overly brag about this accomplishment. Second they were down to earth and incredibly relatable. Thirdly they offered an incredible amount of expertise and knowledge about developing applications in the gaming world.

We are looking to improve player knowledge of playbook .. once we have a product we can use it to prove the improvements of players

I’m the owner of The Signal Mind and we’re a startup that provides support to small businesses.

What challenge were you trying to address with Finally Free Productions?

I had an idea for a mobile app and I needed someone to develop it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Finally Free Productions is developing an Android and iOS app for my company. After sending them a draft of my idea, they delivered a prototype plate that told me exactly what is going to be implemented on the app. Once that was done, they then sent me the data to see where everything is going to be before we start coding.

This product would have everything that a small business may need to get started, such as integrated meetings, appointment scheduling, and product pricing — so far, our MVP is still in the beta phase.

I work directly with Jack (Owner).

How did you come to work with Finally Free Productions?

I found them through a website called Bark. Finally Free Productions didn’t have that many accolades, but I can tell they were hungry for an opportunity. After interviewing about four people, Jack stood out as the best candidate because of his honesty and friendly attitude — he didn’t rush me to make a decision.

So far, we’ve invested around $4,000.

The style, the features, and the overall product has been getting a lot of positive feedback from our partners and other people. 

How did Finally Free Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

So far they’re doing a great job of understanding what I want to see. I have a feeling the final product is going to be great because Jack is putting his all into its development.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with their level of understanding, and how they make sure that I understand the progress of the product. My partners and I haven’t done anything like this before, so they’ve been very receptive in explaining certain aspects of the project, and accommodating since the initial process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be helpful if they could anticipate all my questions before I even ask them. I didn’t know what kind of questions to ask at first, because I really didn’t understand this type of work. It would make the progress quicker if they can have a set of FAQs ready.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to have your idea set on paper before sending it to Finally Free Productions.
