What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Project was just finished so still early for definitive results but we've saved monthly fees with the DNS hosting change and more importantly now have our 2 websites back up and running (they were inactive for a long time before we found Expedition) which is an immeasurable value to bele to maintain an online presence so potential clients can find us.

The plan as originally designed was closely followed in terms of timeframe and all obejectives and activities were clearly outlined from the beginning. Communication was excellent throughout and questions/concerns were quickly addressed via email and/or Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I liked that they delivered on what was agreed to and promised. My numerous questions were always addressed clearly and patiently. It was a very friendly atmosphere and it helped create a reassuring feeling that our website problems would be resolved quickly and efficiently.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Expedition could have done differently?

Not a critique but I really liked having the Zoom calls rather than email especially when there was screen sharing which helped to explain and/or understand the question or issue at hand better at times than just back and forth emails. So no complaint but for a non-technical person like me it was helpful to have that option.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Scope:

1. Rebuild the site with a solid understanding of existing issues in order to fix them moving forward. Through our work on the site over the last few months, we’ve become more familiar with the current site build. Ongoing edits and changes have been more challenging then expected and there are better development practices that could be followed to alleviate some issues. We would compile a list of issues prior to development to ensure we address as many as possible with this new build and new set of tools. 
2. Limit plugins and custom code in development. The existing site utilizes a strange mix of template-based building and custom code. This makes it too hard to make simple changes, not to mention more complex changes. By limiting plugins and custom code when possible, changes become much more manageable. 
3. Ensure ongoing SEO and marketing effort are not negatively impacted. There is a good amount of strategic content throughout the site that benefits SEO and other marketing efforts. We will make sure that the site is properly optimized for SEO and supports those marketing efforts as to not negatively impact past efforts. 
4. Update the overall look and feel of the site. While the overall site structure and content would remain the same, this process would take us through the wireframing and mockup phases allowing us to reconsider the overall site design and make more substantial design changes to the website.

Deliverables:

1. Initial Wireframes: With a focus on structure over aesthetics, wireframes ensure a user-friendly and effective design by allowing us to quickly organize content, plan for the user experience, and facilitate collaboration between designers, developers, and stakeholders prior to design and development.
2. Revision Rounds: As you provide feedback over 3 rounds, we’ll revise the wireframes to refine the layout, content placement, and overall user experience. 
3. Final Wireframes: As wireframes are approved, we can begin to mock them up. Wireframes, mockups, and development can be fluid and we can continue to revise at any level of complexity as we progress. Mockups and Content Creation: Following the approval of the sitemap, we’ll develop mockups intended to give you a realistic preview of how the final website could look. This stage allows you to provide feedback and make adjustments to the design before moving on to the development phase. 
4. Initial Mockups: As the sitemap and content blocks are approved, we’ll move onto the mockup stage, where the visual design elements start coming together. We’ll add content, colors, fonts, photos, textures, and other design elements to establish the visual direction prior to development. 
5. Revision Rounds: As you provide feedback over 3 rounds, we’ll revise the mockups to refine the design and elements. This is also the time we’ll collaborate on any custom elements our team has developed. 
6. Final Mockups: As mockups are approved, we can begin to develop those pages. Mockups and development can be fluid and we can continue to revise at any level of complexity as we progress. Development: Utilizing industry-leading technologies and best practices to ensure your website is responsive, fast-loading, and compatible with various devices and browsers, we begin to build the final product. 
7. Back-end Development: We start by building the bones of the site and establish that the behind-the-scenes functionality is operating as expected. 
8. Front-end Development: Once we’ve made sure everything is functioning properly, we’ll translate the design concepts into functional and responsive interfaces. At that point, you’ll have access to review the progress. 
9. Testing and Final Revisions: Before launching your website, we test its functionality across different devices and browsers. We address any bugs, glitches, or performance issues to guarantee a smooth user experience from the moment your site goes live.

This team is really sharp. They have good internal processes for distributing the work and staying on task. They are also very adept at communication, which can be where things otherwise fall apart. We havereally enjoyed working with them; their cadence matches our own , as does their commitment to the task.

Overall, super reliable. This is not a team you have to hound for deliverables or information. They are on top of it (as a good contract team should be.)

They have so many capabilities and offer so many services that it would be great for them to promote more of them to existing clients!

We hired Expedition to act as Omega's dedicated website maintenance & development partner. Our prior vendor was not able to meet our development needs and we sought out a partner with a strong balance of creativity and productivity to help us modernize our corporate website and ensure its continued functionality. We needed someone to keep our site running, troubleshoot issues and help us transition to a more efficient, modern development platform after previously working with a vendor who boxed us into a proprietary design.

Bradley is communicative, creative and transparent - helping us to not only solve problems with our existing website (created from prior vendor relationships) but also to proactively move toward platforms and styles that will keep our site healthy, stable and compliant for the future.

Bradley and the Expedition team have been fabulous to work with. We meet regularly to talk about upcoming projects and initiatives and brainstorm new ways to keep our site fresh and healthy. He and his team are efficient, communicative and reliable - their maintenance plan has given us a confidence in our website that was missing with prior vendors.
