Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Foobar Studio. We’re a software app publishing company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Excited?

We needed help with UI/UX design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Excited worked on our ADHD tracking app; they helped us create the wireframes and UI/UX design. They also did the logo, branding assets, and some animations. Overall, they led the whole design process.

Initially, we sent over designs we liked. Then, we did a small interview on call to discuss the designs, branding, and possible users. Based on that, Excited presented various options, including small mock-ups and prototypes of the potential design. Finally, we chose two we liked and iterated between them until they came up with the final design.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three teammates.

How did you come to work with Excited?

We searched on Google and found Clutch. After we looked at Clutch’s website, we talked to a few companies. Excited was the one we liked the most. Their portfolio seemed pretty good, so we decided to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $13,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from October 2023–January 2024.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work was very in-depth. Excited provided a styling guide, a color scheme, and a complete design system. The Figma files were also very organized and detailed. Overall, they did everything really well.

How did Excited perform from a project management standpoint?

Excited’s team provided a timeline and delivered on time. We went $1,500 over budget because we added more stuff throughout the process.

We had two weekly meetings, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. We talked about the designs they completed and which ones were next. Additionally, we constantly talked on Slack beyond the meetings.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I worked with Oleksandra (Product Designer). She was very communicative and responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their website and portfolio were outstanding. They had an intro video about some of their work with previous clients, which we didn’t find with other companies. Also, their designs aligned with the iOS design system, which other agencies lacked.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I didn’t have any feedback. We had an excellent experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Provide some designs, a simple wireframe, or a mood board to guide them on what you’re trying to build. It’ll help save time and money and avoid too many revisions.
