We needed to rebuild a full website on a tight timeline, with very specific technical needs. From start to finish, Exceedion made sure we were a priority and listened to every one of our needs, pain points, and wish list items to deliver an on-time, high quality website that we can easily build upon for years to come.

Exceedion trained our team to be as independent as possible moving forward, but also assured us we can count on them at a moment’s notice for technical needs requiring their expertise. We are very happy with their work and can’t wait to pursue future projects with Exceedion!

Reorganize the layout of the website, advise on the format, where pages should be connected and placed, as well as advise on photo placement. They also assisted in the integration of the website with online forms being tracked to a Microsoft SmartSheets account.

A new website layout, successful integration of four new forms with different programs we are working on.

Exceedion was incredibly helpful, they were very responsive and got the work done in a timely manner. We set up a tentative schedule of when we wanted the project to end and they followed the timeline and even assisted in keep us on tract for what we needed to provide them. Bradley is who we primarily worked with and he was helpful, and kept in mind our budget as he worked with our requests!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I like that it is a smaller team but still responsive and knowledgable. I never felt like my requests were falling to the wayside and I knew they would be done in a timely matter. I also appreciated his willingness to set up a call with us and talk through our vision. He provided an expert opinion and was still able to listen and implement our ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Exceedion, LLC could have done differently?

I do not feel that I would have changed anything when working with them. There was some delay on our end and I feel they did an excellent job navigating a potentially frustrating situation!

Our website now looks up-to-date and runs effortlessly. They incorporated all our requests and then improved upon them.

Exceedion is very responsive. Communication was easy and timely, from the initial email to the occasional phone calls to working through our project. We especially appreciated the use of Basecamp to help us all stay on the same page and monitor the project’s progress.

Exceedion has always responded timely, answers questions, and spells out steps needed for any task. They're also helpful at identifying what we can do in-house instead of charging them - they'll send screenshots and instructions to help me figure out how to make necessary changes.

What I appreciate the most are their quick, helpful responses when I send an email out of the blue with a question or forwarding an email from another web vendor that I don't understand, or want to make sure is legitimate. They never made me feel like I was asking a silly question; they always talked me through potential solutions, shared their costs upfront, and moved quickly.

Our website has gone through multiple iterations over the last 20 years. The goal is to always have a fresh, current site that is easy to navigate and captures who we are as a firm.

We interviewed 5 local web developers and Exceedion was the one who we felt had the both the technical expertise and aesthetic skills to bring an improved version of our vision to life.

After the initial meeting to understand our desires, we had several back and forths on concepts. Once a concept was finalized, Exceedion built the site out, not missing any mutually agreed upon milestone dates.

Our organization is a 501(c)3 subsidiary of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. As a not-for-profit, we guide employers through their health and well-being journey, providing education, resources, evaluations and connection to other businesses.

Exceedion helped us overhaul our website and member resources.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Exceedion has helped us think through UX, website content/layout and daily website maintenance and support for specialized projects.
We started with planning calls to discuss what we hoped to receive from projects and what functionality we wanted to see on our website. Their program management process helped the process to run smoothly.  

We’re a membership-based organization, so we want both our member and non-member organizations to efficiently get the information they need from our website. Some of our content is only accessible to our members, and Exceedion provided features to make this possible. Companies can submit membership applications online which makes it easy for us to follow up.

We’re also a very event-focused organization, so we had to be able to provide information about our events in a very streamlined and easy-to-follow way.

We’ve been working together since January 2020. The first project was a lengthy process that required forethought, planning, and thinking ahead. At the end, we had a web page that was manageable, meaningful, and met our expectations,

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve seen an increase in the number of new member applications we receive through the website thanks to Exceedion’s in making our site easy to navigate. The training they provided has helped us keep the site up to date. In addition, SEO wasn’t a priority with our original website. Now that Exceedion has trained our staff in SEO, we have a wider internet presence and impact.

How did Exceedion, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They always stay on budget and are excellent communicators. We’ve had a couple of questions for them, and they quickly respond with accurate information about how they’ll fix it or about how we can resolve it ourselves. They’re very easy to get a hold of. Finally, time management hasn’t been an issue. Basecamp, email, and Zoom suffice for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their size is a strength for them. We’re working directly with the president of the organization; he has a strong interest in making sure that his clients are happy with their projects. The fact that they’re local is an advantage as well. We’ve been able to work on-site with them on multiple occasions as well. Their WordPress abilities and familiarity with our organization and parent organization stand out as well.

We’ve been very happy with Exceedion's service and look forward to continue working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s a good idea to have an idea of what you want to accomplish when working with any consultant or vendor. They can provide recommendations, but it helps to know what message you’re trying to get across and how you want to communicate. Be open to their ideas as well, however.

Our website was in need of a refresh. We worked with Exceedion to create a fresh new look and feel while also ensuring that technical SEO, accessibility, and UX were prioritized.

After researching various vendors, we ultimately picked Exceedion due to their industry experience, web design expertise, and overall value of the services offered.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

After a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals, we received 3 initial designs for the main page on the site. Once we chose a theme, they finalized the design and provided feedback through Zoom Calls, Adobe XD, and Basecamp. This allowed us to discuss and show them how we wanted the rest of the site to look. The vendor came back to us with designs for our other pages, including customized contact forms specific to our industry needs.

We worked closely with two resources at Exceedion, the President, to make sure all of our goals and needs were met, and a project manager on the team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Exceedion's documentation, onboarding, and project management were comprehensive and seamless. They took pride in their work and kept our project milestones on track. We are about to launch the new website but have gathered a great deal of positive feedback and excitement about our new design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We had in-person meetings and phone calls, but most of the feedback was through Basecamp and email. They delivered everything on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Exceedion'sextensive knowledge about website design, user experience, and optimization made our web redesign project a success. We appreciated that they were patient and thoughtful while we came up to speed. We have worked with other agencies in the past, but this was a particularly collaborative and positive experience.

The Exceedion team was transparent about the project from the beginning. Their communication of expectations was exact. I don't think there is anything this team could improve upon.

After discovery meeting, proposed two design concepts with options. Used competitor sites for benchmarking. Review and revisions for home and secondary pages. Developed e-commerce strategy for setting up on-line store and SEO. After approval of each stage, final testing and approval to go-live completed.

Project deliverables were to make competitive site with online store on time. All deliverables were met. Site launched this week so sucess of increase traffic and sales cannot yet be measured.

Basecamp software used as project management tool. Some initial difficulty learning the software but overall effective. Project was broken down into individual elements and organized by major milestones. Communication and feedback were good.
