I needed a professional company to take care of my website because I was unsure about what I was doing. My business had grown to the point where most of my clients came after finding it online, so my site had to be up to date to help me pull in as many clients as possible.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Envisager Studio takes care of my entire website for me, and they help me answer questions when needed. Initially, I talked with them about my goal, which was to have an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-navigate website so that my clients could find the answers to their questions about my services. I also asked them to implement tools within it so that I could keep track of my schedule and have my health waivers embedded.

When Envisager Studio came into the project, I already had a logo, name, and branding, so they first looked at my current website to get an idea of my style. Then, they designed and developed my new website from scratch. I kept in regular contact with them throughout the process to answer their questions. Moving forward, they’ll take care of my SEO and website maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We recently launched the website, so we don’t have any performance metrics yet. Still, it works correctly, and most of my older clients have complimented me on it. No one has experienced issues while navigating through it and making appointments through the new scheduling feature.

How did Envisager Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Envisager Studio’s project management is great. They’ve taken care of everything for me, and they always answer my questions quickly. Having someone who knows what they’re doing and tells me their plans in detail has been great. They’ve always explained everything to me, and they implement changes quickly when required.

Moreover, Envisager Studio is very communicative, almost to the point where I can’t keep up with answering back. They always call me on the phone if I need help with anything. We usually communicate via messages and phone calls. For some parts of the project, I’ve worked closely with them to ensure everything gets implemented how I wanted it to be.

Envisager Studio is very hands-on; I’ve never felt like they forgot about me.

I can’t think of anything Envisager Studio could improve on; they’ve been very good.

They’re very communicative and helpful in guiding you on what you need to do. Thus, as long as you have a good vision of what you want, Envisager Studio will do a great job at making that happen.

Shafer & Ray, CPAs is a full-service accounting firm serving clients throughout the United States, as well as clients living abroad.

For what projects/services did your company hire Envisager Studio?

Our website was created several years ago and had become outdated. Our team are experts in accounting and tax preparation, not web design. So, we hired Envisager Studio to provide web design and development for us. By doing this, we were hoping to increase traffic as well as clientele within 6 months.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for local web design/development companies and interviewed 3 design companies. Envisager Studio has a high presence online and 5-star Google rating. After reviewing their web design portfolio on their site they were the best fit for us.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

After a series of virtual discovery meetings to discuss our goals, we received a home page layout and an inner page layout for the new site. Once we made a few tweaks, they were able to build the remainder of the website.

Through the development process, they provided us a private link to view the status while they worked on the site. This allowed us to give instant feedback, which fortunately, we did not have any changes at this stage as their work was spot on.

In total, we worked with 3 people, one project manager, one designer and one one seo specialist during the entire project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their work is meticulous and the overall look and functionality is modern and user-friendly. Site traffic increased by 60% and not only does everyone at the firm love the new site, but our existing clients and new clients give positive feedback.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As previously stated, we were initially provided a private link to view the website design progress. This worked out great for us because as CPAs, we have many in-person client meetings and thus phone calls to discuss the web design progress would not have been ideal. Instead, two CPAs and the office manager were designated to review the site each evening after work.

We then collaborated in a short meeting the next morning. But given that the site design went so well, the three of us only needed to meet for five minutes or less.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were elated with their wealth of web design, seo, and user experience knowledge and skill in explaining things to us in laymen terms. Their easy-going attitude was a plus, plus for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are usually areas for improvement, but we couldn't find any. The final design was even more beautiful and professional than what we had imagined.

People have said how awesome my website is regarding user-friendliness and its design. Overall, they delivered extremely high results for me; they did exactly what I wanted, did proofreading of everything, and helped me create what I had in mind.

How did Envisager Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good, and they were able to stay within the established budgets and deadlines. In terms of communication, we used phone calls and emails. They kept me always in the loop and explained everything to me because I’m not computer-savvy.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked the fact that they’re a women-owned business. She was also very hands-on and family-oriented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — they were phenomenal, and I loved their design and development.

The more information you provide, the better they can assist you; I was a blank sheet of paper, and they developed and built up from there.

I called them to do a site update. They did our website 14 years ago, but we recently needed a facelift for it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hazel (CEO & Creative Director) spent time with me to go over our web pages. She also had expertise in circulating our agency around social media channels, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. 

Apart from that, she went over each page with me with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that we were compliant with the California Civil Code, which stated that workers in the field should be classified as independent contractors. We also had to follow guidelines from the IRS and the State of California’s Employment Development Department (EDD), and she was mindful of these as she updated our website.

I was referred to Hazel back in 2008, and I was pleased with her work. As a result, I decided to become a return customer.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Hazel did a phenomenal job and never lost her cool. I was busy on some days when she had questions, but that wasn’t a problem for her. She’d just tell me to call her when I had the chance. On top of that, I wasn’t computer savvy at all, but Hazel remained patient and mild-mannered, which also kept me calm because computers were my kryptonite. I was truly pleased with that.

How did Envisager Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was excellent. I was shorthanded and didn’t have a team to whom I could delegate assignments, but Hazel was truly patient with me. 

In terms of timeframes, I held up many things due to my schedule. Envisager wanted to knock things out of the park as soon as possible and do an efficient job. However, because I was short-staffed, the project took much longer than it would have normally been. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Hazel's strength was her patience; I also loved her work ethic. She was so calm when she had to troubleshoot. Overall, she was professional, patient, and kind. More importantly, she never told me that I was costing her money or holding her up — not once did she ever give me that implication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I truly enjoy working with her. In fact, I have other projects down the line where I’m going to use her. Given that, I highly recommend her for anything. Anyone who uses her services will be very pleased.

We had an existing, outdated website, so Envisager Studio came in and helped us redesign it. We were looking for a website that allows potential customers to easily find and communicate with us.

Envisager Studio has developed a new website and transferred it from the old template into a new template. They update our pictures and content to allow customers to submit requests through our website. 

Envisager Studio has added a blog feature that lets us post blog information about our company, services, and the industry as a whole. They’ve also provided SEO services to help us with Google search results.

I reached out to different web designers and wanted to get feedback on what we wanted to do. The quality of the websites Envisager Studio had done for customers in similar industries and their effectiveness were our main reasons for choosing them. Besides that, their price seemed fair.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021. We’ve engaged Envisager Studio with monthly recurring services related to our website, so it’s an ongoing partnership. The plan is to have them update the project and then knock everything out to get it where we need to be.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re looking at the website’s functionality and making sure that it’s user-friendly for us and our customers. That has been the main goal of the design. Going forward, the goal is to allow the website to grow and become more visible on the internet.

The impact has been great. We know these things take time, but we have analytics Envisager Studio has put together and continue monitoring the website’s growth since it’s relatively new. Those numbers are trending upwards, so we’ll continue to look for an ongoing basis for the immediate future.

How did Envisager Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

The Envisager Studio team is very communicative. Any time I have a question or there’s an update, Hazel will either call, text, or send me an email. We’ve always been aware of what’s going on and the project’s status throughout the entire process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Hazel has a lot of design knowledge, and she’s very informative in that aspect. I’ve had a positive experience and feedback-wise with Envisager Studio. I’d encourage them to continue doing that because it’s a great quality when working with somebody.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing off the top of my head. For me, the main aspect of working with people is communication. If there’s anything that pops up, whether it’s positive or negative, their team has always been very informative and right on top of it.

Any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you have a clear vision of the reason you’re engaging Envisager Studio. Hazel has been able to execute the project based on how we communicate our plan and vision with her.

We’re a Chinese restaurant, and we recently opened back in November 2020. I work at the restaurant on weekends to help my parents.

I used Bluehost and tried if I could build the site myself, but I didn’t have access or knowledge to do it. As a result, I reached out to Envisager Studio to help me.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hazel (CEO) asked me if it was okay to use Bluehost on my behalf and I agreed. We provided a couple of pictures to her including the picture of our menu, and she designed the overall look of our platform based on that since we didn’t have a clear idea of what we wanted. After developing the site, she also gave us links in order to preview it. Then, she also maintained the site.

I looked at different websites and agencies. After reaching out to some of them, I didn’t receive a reply. Finally, I reached out to Envisager Studio because I saw that they had experience designing websites. They then provided me all the answers to my questions about the website together with the expected cost of their services. The team also mentioned how many pages they’d develop and how it would look like. Above all, I liked their attitude and willingness to work with me step by step.

Hazel was able to walk me through every step of the way, and she constantly updated me on the progress of the website. Whenever she was unsure of anything, she often reached out to me. We kept in touch a lot, and she was really helpful. Moreover, we were able to give her feedback on what we wanted and what we needed to add or delete. She took our suggestions and integrated them on the site.

I’m an event coordinator for Ballin’ For Peace, an organization that provides educational resources, grants, and scholarships through entertainment. We host events around the nation, and while we have people there, we offer our services to attendees. We invite other organizations to participate with us and provide their own services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Envisager Studio?

We’re trying to bridge the gaps between communities and law enforcement. We would throw events with police officers, gang members, and influencers in high crime areas. Everyone comes together for unity.

The challenge was getting everyone on the same page and recruiting different people. Envisager Studio built our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team took our WordPress site to another level, making it more interactive. They added content that showcased our past achievements, added videos from our past events, and added music elements within the site. They built the shop for us as well. They also created blog content and e-blasts when we needed it.

I provided them with tools through photos, documentation, and other information to put everything together.

I won the Hero of the Year award in 2013 from Marriott. With that, we received funds. The person who nominated us was friends with Hazel. She mentioned that now that we had all of this money, we should rebuild our site and make it more professional.

The first website was built in January 2014, and last month, Hazel recreated the site for us.

A lot of feedback on the site was positive. Envisager Studio made all of our services look presentable on the site. The first site took about a month to create, but Hazel continually maintains and updates the site for us.

If we have any issues with the site or need help with marketing, Hazel was accessible through phone calls or text. She takes care of everything.

From a project management standpoint, they perform great. We communicate through texts, emails, and phone calls. If I have an idea, I can just shoot Hazel a text or send an email with descriptions. She responds quickly, and I never have to wait a long time.

Along with communication, I was impressed with Hazel’s knowledge. She knew what she was talking about. She gives well-rounded advice.

No, if I wanted something changed, she would change. Hazel is an expert in her field.

My client had an existing logo that they weren’t happy with. Envisager Studio designed a new logo, and after they were done with that, we kept them on to do the website. 

They started from scratch to build a new website. I had secured a domain name, but Envisager Studio did everything else. This included content writing, photos, and more. They built the website using WordPress. 

We’re in the process of beginning the SEO aspect of the project. They did some keyword research when building the website, but moving forward, we’re going to be focusing on improving SEO exclusively.

They have strong project management skills. I’d give them a 9/10. They were always available to move the project forward; any delays resulted from my client or me.

They were responsive and cared about our satisfaction. They’re results-oriented and dedicated a lot of time to the project. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were some communication issues, but that was sorted out quickly. Hazel has a specific working style, and it didn’t always mesh with what my client wanted. For example, my client wanted to share some logo ideas with Hazel, but Hazel wanted to create a first draft of the logo before receiving any client input.

If you have solid ideas of what you want, share them with Envisager Studio before beginning the creative process.

They built the website in a very reasonable time. I’m so appreciative of Hazel. It looks beautiful. The team was very easy to get along with. Web development can be very confusing, but they really understood what I wanted from the beginning. Our customers think the website is done very professionally.

She always responded within 24 hours. We communicate via email and text messages.

She’s very easy to work with. She explained from the beginning what she wanted to do with the menu. She understood what my expectations were. I’m very particular and she understood that very quickly. She accomplished everything I asked.

No, they’re very accommodating and answer my questions very quickly. They’re able to make changes I need. They were very effective.

Shop around and contact at least 3–4 different web designers. Ask them what they’ve done in the past. Negotiate a price and don’t go with the cheapest, either.

We wanted to see our ideas brought to life on a website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Envisager Studio built our website—both the frontend and the backend. They implemented pictures of our products and wrote descriptions for them. Their team also created a selection bar under the images for users to choose different prices and types. They designed a logo and established our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. Their team provided analytics for our social media efforts and continues to help but I’ll manage the platforms.
