We needed help with software development to build our in-house tool.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eminence Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is helping us develop our software where users can collaborate with other agencies, organizations, and resources.

I engaged them right from inception; I had a prototype available and discussed with them what I wanted to do. Later, they worked with me on wireframing, developing another prototype, looking at market strategies, and proposing new things to create.

Regarding technology, we're using Python, Angular, and React.js. The product is cloud-based and has been loaded into AWS.

What is the team composition?

We work with 5–7 members of their team, but my main point of contact is one of their main developers.

How did you come to work with Eminence Infotech?

I found them online. Initially, I had done some work with another agency, but the result was unsatisfactory. After that, I spoke to Eminence Infotech and showed them the product. They said that they would re-engineer it and make it better. I was impressed that they were ready to start working with me without quoting too much money, so I decided to give them the project.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we've spent $5,000–$10,000 AUD (approximately $3,400–$6,800 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started in June 2022, and it is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The biggest quality of their work is that they're very professional and time-bound. They're also committed, and if there is something ambiguous, they try to resolve it themselves.

In addition, their team does the market research well, and if my suggestions aren't in line with the market, they develop new solutions which they feel will work well with our tool.

How did Eminence Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is good; they've prepared a project plan, which they share with me to see the milestones and deliverables. They also try to meet deadlines and give me quality results.

Regarding communication, we have a daily call with the project manager to discuss the day-to-day problems, progress, challenges, defects, and how the testing is going.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their collaboration, ability to do market research, and development expertise are their most outstanding attributes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could add more people and incorporate the use of other technologies such as SAP.

Any advice for potential customers?

Before engaging with them, have a very clear definition of the product, the market segment, what you're targeting, and the timeline they're looking at.

Nothing substantial has been delivered.

The project remains incomplete and entirely unstable. The only thing received so far is a buggy, non-functional version filled with errors, crashes, and missing features.

There is no usable or testable product. All deliverables are either broken or never provided.

Unfortunately, there were no measurable outcomes that demonstrate real progress or success in this project.

Despite the time and resources invested, the following issues prevented any meaningful results:

No functional features were delivered
No milestones were completed on time
The code provided (if any) was unstable, full of bugs, and unusable
No testing or deployment ever took place
No visible progress or performance metrics were achieved

The project management was extremely poor and disorganized. There was no clear timeline, no accountability, and no structured process for tracking progress or deliverables.

Deadlines were repeatedly missed without explanation or updates.
Communication was inconsistent, and updates only came when repeatedly followed up on.
They failed to set clear milestones or provide any project roadmap.
Most of the time, our needs or requests were either ignored or acknowledged with promises that were never fulfilled.

Rather than addressing issues or providing solutions, they often deflected responsibility or gave vague assurances. Overall, the team did not demonstrate any real understanding of project planning or execution.
