I shortlisted a few companies based on reviews then visited their offices in Krakow, Lviv and Kyiv. After visiting all of these companies I decided to begin work with Eliftech because they seemed knowledgeable and professional with a properly equipped and sensibly located office. They made an effort to understand what we were asking for without trying to sell us things we didn't want or need.

They helped me put together a detailed specification which has ultimately led on to £24,000 worth of ERDF grant funding towards the projects development. We initially began with face to face meetings in Lviv, then continued with video conferencing from the UK.

The project was handle between 4 staff members, though others were occasionally on hand. These were: - Engineer - UI/UX - Developer - Head of business development.

Meetings were mostly handled with google hangouts, staff were professional and spoke good English.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I don't have a background in coding or web development, they made an effort to understand what I wanted and explain how best to address this. I didn't ever feel that they were trying to exploit my ignorance/inexperience to sell me things I didn't need/want. They spoke good English even though non-native speakers often find me a little difficult to understand. Very professional and reasonably priced.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some minor delays though these were mostly resulting from 3rd party integrations.

We’re happy with their services. The candidate we hired works remotely, carries out tasks we give him, and works well with our team. 

How did ElifTech perform from a project management standpoint?

Yuri and I have a monthly call to discuss how things are going with the developer and share feedback. Most of our communication is done via phone and video calls. We don’t have set deadlines for them to meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re open and transparent in their relationship with clients, which I’ve come to appreciate. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their hiring process could be more polished; it took a while for them to find the right candidate to pass along to us.

No, I really don’t have anything.

I’m a partner at ATRIUM Partners, a financial advisory firm. We advise companies on acquiring or selling businesses.

What challenge were you trying to address with ElifTech?

We decided to do our first own developed IT system to allow us to smoothly do equity release on behalf of our smaller clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built the custom online platform to facilitate an equity raise between a business owner and investors. We integrated a presentation from Google Slides to implement into the web app, along with the ability to raise questions and answers in a private session with a chat feature. There’s also a private function for the investor and business owners without anyone but us as facilitators. It’s a very private, secure platform built from scratch.

What is the team composition?

Yuri (CEO) was our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with ElifTech?

Our CEO is the board member of another Danish business that used ElifTech for a digitization project.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s been around $45,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We almost finished the development of the platform, and it’ll be done in two to three weeks. Then we’ll start development phase two where we’ll digitize some of the platform. We began in August 2020, and are still working.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s developing in the exact direction that we wanted. They came up with a really clear and nice design early on. They understood exactly what we wanted. They really facilitated the discovery, which is why we trusted them on the development.

While I don’t have the technical knowledge to comment on the coding, I trust the work they do. They’ve done such an excellent job on the front end. It’s pretty much five stars across the board.

How did ElifTech perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Slack for written communication, although that’s new for me so they also send questions over email. We have weekly calls where they showcase everything they’ve done so far. They go through everything, and it makes me know what they’re doing. They communicate really well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Especially in the discovery phase, they had a knack for understanding what we want to do. They had an ability to show what they were going to do very early on, mimicking exactly what we wanted to do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, although I don’t have the expert knowledge to know if everything is right.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I think the most important thing is to have a realistic timeline. We hoped to launch in January, and we didn’t meet the deadline we set because of our own fault. A true realistic timeline helps the project.

Eliftech's day-to-day Project Management has been efficient and diligent relying on a suite of business tools including Slack, Jira, Zeplin and Bitbucket. Otherwise, we have been sharing forecasts and plans using Google Docs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are impressed with the dedication of their Project Management and technical team's commitment to finding solutions to our requirements.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As a young company, they have demonstrated a very mature approach in most areas. Improvements in time/cost assessments would be critical to their future success.

Points Group is a healthcare marketing and development agency. I am a Sr. Director and the head of our website and software development team.

Custom software development of TriageTrak, a healthcare provider data management system and dedicated team for support and maintenance.

How did you select ElifTech and what were the deciding factors?

Eliftech responded to our request for a proposal. Their response was extremely well thought out and professional. We decided to accept their proposal because of a combination of their team, capabilities and pricing.

They designed and developed a software using React.js, Redux, Node.js, PostgreSQL. Key deliverables included system admin portal, user interfaces for client admin, doctors and call center employees and development of an API.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch the product and begin to use it for our own agency clients. The team was extremely knowledgeable and able to make recommendations for improvements during the development process. We were pleased with the team and have retained them to provide ongoing support, maintenance and feature additions.

The project was managed with sprints. Internally the team used Jira, which we were provided access to. We had regular communication via Slack, email and weekly video meetings. They were and continue to be very responsive. Eliftech has become part of our team and daily workflow.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their programmers are very diligent in the work and extremely knowledgeable. We were impressed with their willingness to put in the time and effort (and work weekends if needed) to meet a deadline.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have discussed improving high level timeline reporting for C-level. That reporting was implemented and proved to be an effective tool for communicating project statuses.

Our company did not exist on the Internet and we worked only with our own hands for 5 years. ElifTech helped us create a website, marketing, landing page and fully implement our ideas. These guys helped us a lot.

What were your goals for this project?

Previously, we used our ideas in trading exclusively for ourselves. But now, with the help of our product, any third-party trader will be able to implement his trading strategy without having any programming skills. He will be able to share his idea with everyone.

After the first communication with ElifTech, we immediately began to understand each other. The guys immediately imbued with our project and immediately began to implement it. In the course of their execution of our order, we got additional conditions and they gladly agreed to make changes to our project. They adjusted very well to us and it is convenient for us.

We were assigned a project manager and 3 frontend, then 2 more performers and 1 website designer joined.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the end of the first part of the project, we were already able to provide users with our ideas, many have already started using them, although before that we could not do this at all.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

For their team, this was a new case and they did not encounter there, despite this, their team quickly understood us. After we provided a transcript of our ideas, they quickly became imbued with the project. From the first communication, our teams began to quickly understand each other.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed with how the team quickly adapted to us and how they work quickly and smoothly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Our team has a lot of ideas for implementation and we immediately proceeded to the next stage. We are improving together every day. I am sorry for my English. I would like to say a lot!

What challenge were you trying to address with ElifTech?

We needed to create a smartphone app for iOS and Android.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided detailed specifications of the requirements. ElifTech then created the app, and the hosting software necessary to support it. They created a database on the host environment to allow data to be exchanged between it and the application.

The team incorporated a help button and a timer, as well as the ability to create security groups, maintain security groups, and maintain users. The app is used by people to help them feel safer.

What is the team composition?

We have worked with two different teams; one that had a project manager, two developers, and a tester, and one that had a project manager, one developer, and a tester.

How did you come to work with ElifTech?

ElifTech was recommended by another software company. They did a prototype assignment first to demonstrate their skills before we worked on the main project together.

So far, we’ve spent $24,000.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

There are some issues with the Apple store that we are working on in order to finish up the project, but the product is functional and reasonable. There have been very few failures, which ElifTech is ironing out. Issues are expected in any development project. We are happy with the quality of their work.

How did ElifTech perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve delivered on time, for the most part. We communicate using Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ElifTech's technical expertise is very strong and meets our needs, which are a bit unique from others in the marketplace.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The team has varied from specifications sometimes. The result was positive a couple of times, but not always.

Define your set of requirements, and have defined test criteria against which you can check the deliverables.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did everything from the ground up. They did our WordPress website and set up MailChimp for email marketing. All I needed to do was send them information and we discussed the theme. They also put a widget on the front page to facilitate price comparisons.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their communication is like a dream. They’re great. The work that I’ve asked them to do has also been great. It’s just an MVP right now, so we’re still testing things. They did exactly what I was looking for, though.

How did ElifTech perform from a project management standpoint?

They were always available on Slack, even in the middle of the night. We did calls every week, too. They were always on like clockwork. Every day the project manager would send me a summary of what they did and they worked on my project every day until it was done. We also had a project thread, where they would answer any of my questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication was key. I’ve heard stories about horrible communication, but this team was nothing like that. I was very surprised at how well things went. They were always very professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I had a different idea about how I wanted the email to go, but apparently that would’ve required a heavier type of code. It’s not as simple as it seemed, but that was probably due to my own misunderstanding. Otherwise, I’d say there’s no room for improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

With developers like them, as long as you have the information laid out, they can run with it. Someone with a stronger technical background would probably be more prepared for something like this than I was.

I’m a product manager at Tikkio, a ticketing platform for event organizers. Our product allows vendors to sell tickets and control who is able to enter an event.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with ElifTech?

We wanted a new app that could validate tickets at the door of an event.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a scoping phase to specify what we needed. We also created a business case to list out each part of the project. After a few meetings, ElifTech has enough key information to jump in and start working.

They provided a small team that designed and delivered an iOS and an Android version of the product, and then made corrections and adjustments based on some back and forth between our side and theirs.

What is the team composition?

Julia (name) was my main point of contact at the beginning, and we eventually received a dedicated project manager who oversaw 2–3 developers.

How did you come to work with ElifTech?

We were at the point where we were ready to reach out to agencies to see if we could outsource some of the development work for the product. ElifTech contacted me via LinkedIn, and I decided to respond.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in May, and we launched the first early beta stage version within that same month.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received 400–500 downloads of the app so far, and we’re expecting twice that amount within the next half year. We haven’t had any crashes either. I’m happy with the project—we seem to be moving in the right direction.

How did ElifTech perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re responsive and informative. We typically email back and forth with some video conferencing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re determined to finish projects on time, within the deadline. We noticed that they were willing to stretch a bit to get the beta version out within a month, even though the scope called for two months. They’ve also been flexible about making adjustments regarding milestones to maintain a high level of productivity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This is our first time reaching out to an external agency, and we definitely learned on our end how we want to better approach collaborations in the future.

What challenge were you trying to address with ElifTech?

We struggled to find enough resource time within our development team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, ElifTech was involved in building design-type features, which acclimated their team to our codebase. They continued to take on larger roles.

Now, their team creates code and new features for our dot net, cloud-based web app. As well, they help architect and administer the codebase. Their team promotes products to our staging environment and our live environment. ElifTech has become a strategic partner as our resources have continued to scale down locally.

What is the team composition?

We have a proposal in place that allows us to grow by bringing in different resources on their team and hiring for the projects. When we started, my initial contact was their business development manager who put together a proposal based on our needs. We decided that we needed two individuals to work on our project part-time. Then, we scaled down to the single developer who has since been my direct point of contact. We had a project manager for a short period of time. Now, I work with a new project manager.

How did you come to work with ElifTech?

I looked at different solutions and connected with ElifTech through Upwork.

How much have you invested with them?

Since starting our work together, we’ve spent $35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our collaboration in December 2018, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Having them as a partner has allowed us to continue getting good, quality code written in a timely fashion. They’ve continued to show that they’re capable and creative. It’s been an awesome relationship. We’ve received a high level of value at a fair price.

Going into this, I was concerned about not having direct control of our platform’s development, but their team has helped to expand our product to meet our customers’ needs. Everything has been a success. They’ve been a great partner all around in helping to evolve our technical platform inside the business.

How did ElifTech perform from a project management standpoint?

Since day one, their communication has been one of their strongest attributes. Generally, I’m working with the developer directly. We communicate through Slack and have calls weekly. For more critical tasks, I talk with the business development manager or product manager to come up with a solution.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was a bit scary going into a situation where you’re working with somebody who you’ve never met face-to-face. ElifTech has done a nice job of building a relationship. They’ve really helped move this process along as their team has worked with many customers that aren’t in their local area. That has provided me with a level of comfort in addition to their general performance.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has been good. I’m really pleased with what they’re doing. I’ve become a partner who they use as a reference check for other businesses that they’re trying to onboard.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set clear expectations from the get-go. They are straight shooters and are willing to work with you in any capacity but definitely throw everything on the table in regard to what your needs are. Let them come up with a solution that’s going to meet or exceed your needs. Keep the lines of communication open. That’s really what a partnership’s about.
