What challenge were you trying to address with EdonyDev?

We needed help building a proof of concept (POC) and an MVP for a test product we wanted to get into the market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

EdonyDev is using Bubble to build a POC and MVP for a portfolio website for people in the construction and trade industries. Initially, I provided EdonyDev with a broad specification. The team has converted that into a decent set of wireframes we’ve walked through. EdonyDev is now in the process of building the product. The website will allow users to showcase their work.

I found EdonyDev on Upwork. I posted a job looking for a developer who could work with no-code technology and looked at the team’s profile, portfolio, and reviews. I had a conversation with EdonyDev, and they seemed to be very communicative. The team kept me updated, so I decided to hire them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team is quite open-minded about a project of this type. When building an MVP, it’s tough to nail down exact requirements at the start, so it's great that EdonyDev has been flexible.

How did EdonyDev perform from a project management standpoint?

EdonyDev is highly responsive and very good about meeting deadlines. I’ve been the hold-up for this project, and the team has been great. We collaborate via Google Docs and chat.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with EdonyDev’s pragmatic approach to understanding that things change. The team has a good understanding of that. I’ve worked with other people in the past who have been very strict about delivering what was agreed upon, regardless of whether it was what the client wanted. As you build something, you discover new pivots. EdonyDev has a very pragmatic approach to that, which is key.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have EdonyDev improve. I’m very happy with the team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t underestimate EdonyDev's experience with projects of different sizes and scopes. Lean on the team in the early days to help define some requirements. I’d also recommend using EdonyDev’s expertise upfront before they start doing anything. Just stay in touch and keep communication up.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

To build a custom platform designed to streamline the flow of leads, simplify quoting, and provide performance tracking across multiple user roles. The system was built using Bubble.io and includes separate portals for customers, service providers, and administrators. It automated key workflows, centralized communication, and offered real-time reporting capabilities.

 
Summary of Key Deliverables
1. Lead Management
Leads were captured through an external website and imported into Airtable.
The system automatically assigned leads to specific users based on predefined criteria.
Workflow stages were implemented to track lead progress from submission to resolution.
2. Customer Portal
A customer portal was created, with user accounts automatically generated upon lead submission.
Customers were able to log in, view submitted quotes, and approve or decline them.
Automated email notifications were triggered during key stages of the process to keep customers informed.
3. Service Provider Pipelines
Each provider had access to a private dashboard where they could view and manage their leads.
Providers could submit and edit quotes directly within the platform.
A "deal rotting" feature alerted providers when leads remained inactive for too long.
4. Automated Communication
All follow-up communication was sent from a central system account to maintain consistency.
Customers received reminders to respond to quotes and were asked for feedback if no quote was accepted.
Email workflows were automated based on user actions and lead status.
5. Admin Dashboard
A comprehensive admin panel provided full visibility into leads, quotes, and status updates.
Admins could reassign leads, monitor user activity, and view overall performance metrics.
Data included the number of quotes submitted, conversion rates, and total deal values.
6. Commission Tracking & Reporting
The system calculated percentage-based commissions automatically when deals were marked as closed.
Monthly summaries were generated for each service provider, outlining performance and commission owed.
Exportable reports supported financial oversight and business planning.
7. Integrations
Airtable was used for data storage and syncing.
Custom email workflows were set up using integrated email services.
The system was designed to allow future integration with payment gateways if needed.

Edon was excellent to work with from start to finish. He managed the project professionally and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Tasks were delivered on time, and when there were changes or extra requests from our side (which happened more than once), he responded with a great attitude and a willingness to help.

They didn’t just wait for instructions—they actively thought through problems, made smart suggestions, and helped shape the system with us. Nothing ever felt too hard or like it was outside of scope. He handled every change with flexibility and a solutions-focused mindset.

Overall, his project management was reliable, responsive, and very efficient. We always felt like we were in good hands, and the project stayed on track thanks to his consistency and commitment.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out the most about working with Edon was his personal commitment and care. It’s a family-run operation, and you can really feel that in how they treat their clients—with genuine interest, flexibility, and a strong sense of ownership.

What really impressed me was Edon's willingness to go above and beyond. He regularly made time for late-night meetings to fit around our schedule, and never made us feel like we were asking too much—even when we changed the scope or added extra tasks. He was always calm, thoughtful, and quick to find a way forward.

It didn’t feel like we were just hiring a developer—it felt like we had a partner who was as invested in the success of our system as we were. That level of dedication is rare, and it made a big difference.

Are there any areas for improvement or something EdonyDev could have done differently?

The only area that could have been improved was the testing process. At times, it felt a bit cumbersome, and a few bugs were initially overlooked. It would have been helpful to have a more structured or thorough QA process before handing features over for review. That said, whenever issues were raised, Edon was quick to respond and fix them without any fuss. His attitude and willingness to improve made a big difference.

What challenge were you trying to address with EdonyDev?

I needed EdonyDev to build my entire web application in Bubble to get a low-cost MVP out the door and validate the idea.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I built all the requirements and gave them to a designer. EdonyDev took the designs and made them a reality. The team also did QA to ensure the release was bug-free. EdonyDev integrated n8n, Postmark, and HubSpot as part of the scope.EdonyDev built a solution that intakes an issue with a business that a consumer has, like an auto repair shop. The information is ingested by AI, and then a demand letter is generated. There are a lot of intermediate steps required to generate a good demand letter, so the workflow had to be super easy for the consumer as well.

We closed our first customer four months after the launch.

EdonyDev was an excellent project manager, and they delivered on time. We primarily communicated through virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

EdonyDev was a very nice person, pleasant, and really understood the requirements. More importantly, they consistently showed me that they cared about the project's success. I was really grateful that I had a chance to work with them, and I'll definitely work with them again in the future.A lot of engineers just build what is in the design, but EdonyDev was also able to make small adjustments from the design without requiring massive change orders. They also had good suggestions, as the design didn't always meet the development reality.
