I’m the project manager at an advertising and marketing agency, overseeing our website’s redesign and development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eclipse Digital?

We were doing a website redesign, for which we were in charge of its UX, copywriting, and creative design. However, we needed help with the development portion, so we engaged with Eclipse Digital.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Although this project is considered a redesign of an existing website, we’re designing everything from scratch, using a new WordPress theme and setting up a new WordPress instance. For this project, Eclipse Digital has helped us develop the site’s front- and backend, integrating it into WordPress.

What is the team composition?

We work with a lead developer and two support developers from Eclipse Digital.

How did you come to work with Eclipse Digital?

Their lead developer had already worked with us on another project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. However, we expect to deploy the website on April 27th, 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the site yet, but I feel very good about it because we haven’t reached many issues, and we’ve hit most milestones. Eclipse Digital’s work has met our expectations. Still, I can’t say that the project has been successful until we launch the site.

How did Eclipse Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Regarding project management, Eclipse Digital has accomplished our goals. They’ve taken our creative feedback and implemented it, and we’ve worked through WordPress issues very well. We use Jira, communicate via email, and have daily standup meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Eclipse Digital has employees globally, so they can work overnight and continuously hand off development tasks, which I really appreciate. Additionally, they’ve offered very clear and quick communication, and they’re very knowledgeable in WordPress.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re doing well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Our ongoing, daily communication has been very helpful.

I’m the director of marketing, communications, and PR for Ra Foods, an umbrella company for three different food brands selling in retail stores and online. Our primary purpose is to develop safe, healthy, and easy-to-consume products so that consumers can incorporate them into their daily meal routine.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eclipse Digital?

We had several different audience segments, but we didn’t know how to reach out to them. Additionally, we had been a grocery retail store-based organization for over 30 years, and we were exploring e-commerce for the first time. Thus, we needed help not only to immerse ourselves in the e-commerce space but also to find new ways to reach out to our consumers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eclipse Digital has helped us develop our e-commerce platform from scratch. Initially, we had brainstorming sessions to discuss our vision. They gave us great ideas, developed the framework, and worked through every single element of the process. Then, they developed the site on WordPress and integrated it into Shopify.

In addition to our main e-commerce platform, Eclipse Digital has helped us launch several different brands and create various sites; it has been a very heavy lift from their side. Their work has also included site redesigns, feature improvements, and feature additions like blogs and content pieces. They’re constantly updating our sites, adding recipes, photos, and diverse content to make them engaging.

How did you come to work with Eclipse Digital?

We found Eclipse Digital through word of mouth. We thought that they were the right fit for us because of their entrepreneurial approach. They understood the flexibility of how an entrepreneurial organization works and were ok with changing directions as our brands and products changed.

How much have you invested with them?

Although it depends on the projects, we spend about $10,000–$15,000 per year

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked with Eclipse Digital since 2015. At the time, they were helping us with small fixes to overcome some hiccups. However, we’ve been working together very intensively for the last four years.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Eclipse Digital, we’ve gone from a non-existent to a fully-functioning e-commerce site, and our visitors are increasing month by month. Their work has also been instrumental in consistently increasing our metrics on our sites, such as total traffic, users' time on page, and the number of pages users access. Their efforts are continuous, and we see constant improvement as a result. Still, they analyze those results to see how we can further improve our sites and statistics.

On the e-commerce side of things, we’ve seen great results in our sales metrics. We constantly track how many sales are completed and what percentage of abandoned carts we have in order to change our content and keep improving our sales funnel. These efforts have included tracking which sites and platforms drive the most traffic to our store and which ones result in the highest conversion, which has helped us significantly improve our marketing campaigns.

How did Eclipse Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Eclipse Digital manages the project very well. Working with a single point of contact has been great for me. I have this person’s email and phone number, and I can call them early in the morning and late at night; they’re always available. I’ve also called them during the weekend when we were preparing for a board meeting and needed something to showcase the work we were doing together at the time. Whenever I send an email, someone gets back to me within 24–48 hours.

In addition to that, they’re very organized, and they’ve brought a variety of project management tools to the table. Sometimes, I engage with them alone, but other times, different people within my organization need to be involved in certain projects. Still, Eclipse Digital always uses a tool to facilitate our collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Eclipse Digital offers an incredibly personal connection. They have an impressive ability to help companies bring their concepts and ideas to life. Additionally, they’re very flexible in working with large teams with varied ideas, and they’re very capable of bringing those ideas into a realistic and unified concept while guiding the team through the process.

They’ve demonstrated an excellent understanding of going from nothing to something and how that creative process works. We’ve worked as a team towards a common goal, and we’ve accomplished it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Whenever Eclipse Digital hasn’t been able to do something for us, they’ve referred us to someone else. They’re not a one-stop shop, but they have great connections.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take advantage of the brainstorming sessions, don’t be afraid to ask questions, and learn everything you can from them and their expertise.
